The balloon bouquet was great, though I had asked for lots of ribbons hanging down from the balloons and there were none. The carnations arrived in brown paper (as described) but no greens or baby's breath. Literally 5 carnations and that is all. Including delivery this cost me 98.00. Though the lady on the phone was very friendly and kind, and the balloons were nicely chosen ones, I feel that this order was very over priced and the presentation of the flowers was not very nice. I would not order from here again.

If…read moreyou want a florist who will pour their heart into their work and make your vision bloom, this is the one. The planning process with Sierra was a lot of fun and she was so easy to work with. I had specific likes and dislikes for flowers and Sierra always listened to what I wanted. She would even double check with me to make sure every flower is what I had envisioned. I really appreciated the ease of clear communication. When our wedding day came I was absolutely blown away!! Not only from the beauty of the flowers but how incredible, kind, sweet and thoughtful Sierra was in all her help that day. On the day of the wedding there was so much happening where things can feel chaotic at times but not with Sierra. Her calming presence was grounding. When we ran into hiccups throughout our day Sierra was there with solutions and a smile. The flowers themselves!! OMG!! I gasped and cried at the sight of them all. An absolute magical fairytale that made me feel like a princess. The flowers were fresh, vibrant and arranged with such artistry. Every flower was carefully picked, thought about and placed with the most love and care. All night long we received endless compliments from the guests about the flowers. The shop itself doesn't have a lot of fresh flowers and bouquets to choose from but they seem to have a steady business of people ordering in advance to pick up. The back half of the store is where the staff do their work and create beautiful arrangements. We met with Ivy, the Florist, at a table in the front part of the store. She had 3 albums of photos of sprays and wreaths, and stickers for prices. They started at $85 and went up to hundreds. We had about 12 to pick, so it was easy to go through and take out the photos of the ones we wanted to order. After we choose the photos, she had a form for each one of the arrangements. We gave her the details, and she wrote is down. She provided either cards or a ribbon with writing in Chinese and English of the family names. This made things organized so she knew which arrangements was from which family member. The day of the viewing, the arrangements were lined up nicely. The information was correct. Although not all the flowers looked as the photos, I can appreciate it's due to the season, availability, and short notice of 3 days to get the flowers, and arrange them. They looked lovely for the somber occasion. Price and service were good, would recommend this floral shop.

I hired Wild Orchid for my wedding after seeing the work they had done for a friend's wedding, and…read moream so glad I did. Their shop is located downtown, with an Impark lot a few doors down, and there is a parkade across the street at Coast Plaza Hotel. I am not particularly a "flower" person - I love the look of a beautiful arrangement, but don't have a favorite flower type or any real knowledge of species of flowers. I went to my first consult armed with pictures of bouquets and arrangements I liked, and Candice was easily able to translate the style I was looking for into flower types that would be in-season for my wedding. All of our bouquets and arrangements came in at or under my projected budget (including a free toss bouquet), so I hired Wild Orchid immediately after our first meeting. Booking appointments at the shop was easy, and our meetings were all quick and pleasant. When I saw the bouquets for my wedding, I was amazed at how beautiful they were. They were exactly what I had hoped, and lasted incredibly long - my bouquet had water tubes in the bottom and stayed fresh for three days after the wedding. They were also able to incorporate my mom's ring into the handle of the bouquet beautifully. The delivery of the flowers at the hotel was perfectly on time, and the centerpiece arrangements that I sent home with friends are still looking great almost a week later. My only stumble with Wild Orchid occurred with the vases for the centerpieces. I had initially thought I would buy my own, but when I wasn't able to find any I liked locally I emailed the store to tell them I would have to add vases to my bill. I got a return email saying that was fine, and they could be ordered at my final consult (a month before the wedding). At my final consult I was told that it was too close to the wedding to order the vases I wanted, and we picked out bowls that were very nice and available on short notice, but not my first choice. When I arrived at the reception I was delighted to see my centerpieces in the vases I had initially said I wanted - it was a wonderful surprise, and I am so thankful to Candice and Wild Orchid for hunting down the vases I wanted close to the wedding. The flower work at Wild Orchid is artistically beautiful and they are professional and pleasant to deal with - highly recommended.
