We have both…read morebeen going through a terrible few weeks, including our mutual friend going to the hospital. I got a call from the florist that lilies for the arrangement might not be available by the time they delivered my order because so many orders ahead of mine also called for lilies. I asked them to do whatever they thought best to make it pretty for my friend (because this lovely person is now a friend of mine, too). They did wonderfully and we are all very happy with the result. Thank you again.

I ordered a plant for my mother as a token of my condolence for the loss of her beloved pet. The plant I selected from their website was just what I was looking for (or so I thought). I was actually impressed with the delivery time- so that was a positive. However, when my mom sent me a picture of what was delivered, it was a sad excuse of a succulent and definitely NOT what I ordered or what was represented on their website. See the pictures for yourself. Sadly, I had to tell my mom I'm sorry for the plant that arrived because it looked pitiful. My mom had to take time out of her day to drive to the florist to show her what was delivered, thinking the situation would be supported with customer service--it was not. It was neither service nor customer friendly. The "florist" presented excuse after excuse, rather than being supportive and making the situation right. Finally, after much dispute and back and forth, the "florist" replaced the plant with a new container-this took 5 days! The replacement was better but still not what was ordered. And to add offense to injury, "florist" wanted the original container returned. Are you kidding me? I will never use this florist again. Customer service is simple: listen, know how to apologize, take ownership, and go the extra mile. They must be drowning in business because none of these approaches were taken, so they don't need my repeat business and they don't need yours! I live over 300 miles away, so attempted to phone in my order (for my mother who lives in Crane) the Friday before Mother's Day. I know this is a busy time, especially for a small business. I tried no less than 11 times to reach Georgie's Flowers over the phone during their business hours, while I was at work myself. In desperation I tried once even when I was away from my wallet. This was, of course, the only time that the worker at Georgie's (not sure if it was the owner) picked up. I explained I had been trying to get through and would like to place an order over the phone, and asked if I could please call her back in a few minutes when I had my credit card handy. The woman kindly obliged over the phone, but failed to pick up *any* of my subsequent phone calls. This was extremely disappointing and I expressed my displeasure over the phone, several days later. People, I understand that resources are limited in a small town, and things go at their own pace. That laid-back attitude is part of the joy of living in a small town, rather than a bustling city. But I loathe unprofessional behavior, especially from a business owner. If you have two lines, please use the "hold" function to answer both, at least long enough to communicate that you are taking an order, and request that the second caller try back in a few minutes. Also please have the foresight to hire additional help during peak times like Mother's Day if you anticipate having a rush of business. I was very disappointed to have to give a small, local business a negative review. But I would *not* count on Georgie's for your flower delivery needs, especially if you are in a time pinch.
