Their prices are vastly different from their online prices. Luckily, they price match, but you shouldn't have to do a bunch of research to not get ripped off. We go there because sometimes we have to, but I am officially done. Today's anecdote: I went in for a cone for my cat who is destroying his poor eye. I have someone sitting with him at home so I can get this cone and get back to work. After searching the store I find one section with a terribly limited selection. Awful hard things for an average of $40. I check online and of course, they are $14.99 there. What? The only one that they have in his size is scuffed up on the clear plastic part, and looks like it has been used, but here I am, having an emergency, or I need some thing fast. I wait in line and when I get to the counter, the girl kindly tells me they can only take cash right now. Please, tell me, you're joking, I think. Who is running this place? This is something I should've known upon entering the store. A sign on the door? At this point, I am beyond frustrated and almost in tears, when the cashier points outside and says "I think there's an atm over there somewhere?" This is unacceptable on so many levels. I was already settling for a lackluster product at inflated in-store prices... and you can't even take my credit card. It's 2023. Shame on you, Petco. I do hope someone looks into your practices and cleans things up there.

I had not previously visited a PetPeople, and they mailed me a coupon for 20 percent off, so I stopped in to learn about their products and services. As soon as I entered the store, an employee cheerfully said hello, answered my questions, and directed me to products for cats. (Fellow Yelper, if you are a dog person, I apologize for my inability to discuss their exact dog products. I can tell you that the store sells mostly products for dogs, and they have a few self-serve dog-washing stations.) For cat food and treats, they sell brands such as Fromm, Greenies, Nulo, Orijen, Tiki, Weruva, and many others. For cat supplies, they sell beds, mats, bowls, scratching posts, toys, litter, etcetera. For my cats, I bought about a dozen items, including litter, catnip buds, catnip spray, treats, and toys. Some of the products were unique, and when I brought them home, my cats excitedly played. Prices for some products, such as the cat litter, were higher than at other stores, but the prices were a bargain after my coupon. Prices for other products were comparable to other stores' prices. They do offer a rewards program if you are interested in signing up.

I picked up a few (ok, a lot) of treats for my rotten pug back in Vegas and he loves them. He especially liked the parmesan twists and yogurt lollipops. Interested in some clothes for your dog? A fancy collar? A bag to carry him in? They have a pretty good selection of the above and more. Dogs Rule apparently offers dog grooming as well, but my review is solely on the retail/bakery side of the business. This is a fun little place to stop at if you are in the neighborhood and want to treat your dog to something special. I would recommend calling ahead for hours; we were in on a Monday afternoon and this was the only business in Quail Acres open at the time.

The owner called me and was very rude and said that she should have charged me more and that she didn't care if we ever came back or if my mom brought her dog back.
