We did not expect the groomer to razor burn the girl's under their genital region and their front legs under the chest. They are in. A lot of discomfort tonight. Groomer's name was capital.Remember started with a B, brandy or brenda Needs to be FIRED. When you read this review, I hope you lose sleep at night over this because we're going to. These are medical working dogs that cannot efficiently or effectively do their job for the next 48 hours. Because they have to be nursed back to health , they're actually in pain. Corta.zone an ice packs, never in my life. They're comfort matters to us. You apparently are not a professional , When you razor burn a dog you treat immediately. I am about to start a campaign against against this business. See the pictures that I have attached.

I am new(er) to the area of Marion: I'd previously taken my Yorkie Poo Pup to another Marion groomer, but they recently moved to Herrin so I thought I would give another local place a try: WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!! My appt 130p ** I work from home and lost track of time!! I called AT 140p to say I was 5 min away. I was told to 'hold on', as the girl who answered the phone had to ask if the groomer could still 'fit her in'!?!?! To her appt? The allotted time she already had?? The phone girl returned SEVERAL minutes later as I was already in their parking lot and said the groomer can not 'fit her in', they have a 15 minute late policy!!!!!! WHAT?? So calling and requesting the additional 5 minutes was a deal breaker?? How about shorten the service?? Or just a SANITARY CLEAN UP!! That would have made more sense, and I would have been 100% OK with that!! I was even, for the groomers trouble, going to tip DOUBLE what I usually do!! I guess the groomers don't need the money or clients, or just prefer to be on break!! Yes, I WAS LATE, but that is life sometimes! All I can say is, I'm going back to the original groomer I started with, a 15 minute drive vs 5 min from my house, but absolutely WORTH it!!!

They have a diffuser with cat pheromones, calming spray on a blanket, cat toys, cat treats, and even CAT MUSIC Seems like a really legit and good place. Felt like a gucci vet or something. We brought our much-loved 3-1/2 year-old mixed breed, Alice, to Striegel Animal Hospital for…read moreextraction of a broken tooth. A pre-op exam was done by Dr. Cressey, who found her fit and healthy. Surgery was performed 5 days later on a Tuesday. Alice initially appeared to recover normally, but by the following Sunday she refused food and became lethargic. As Striegel was closed, we took Alice to Lakeside Veterinary Hospital in Carbondale IL., where they determined that she was dehydrated and that her stitches had opened. Bloodwork indicated a low white blood cell count. The wound was cleaned, she was given fluids and anti-nausea meds. She was prescribed an antibiotic to be given only if she ate. We were advised to return to Striegel for follow-up. She would not eat and so we returned to Striegel the next day, Monday. Dr. Cressey examined her at length and said the extraction site was fine despite the missing stitches. Although blood test results were borderline, Dr. Cressey diagnosed pancreatitis based on abdominal sensitivity. We were told that simple anxiety could sometimes trigger such symptoms in a dog. Alice was again given fluids along with pain meds and an appetite stimulant. We we're instructed to feed her as best we could but not to administer the antibiotic unless she ate. We were not provided with an emergency telephone number or any recourse to after-hours immediate care. In the middle of the night, Alice's breathing became labored and she began to cry. We did our best to apply pain medication. At two-thirty on that Tuesday morning, as we drove toward the only 24-hour clinic we could find, two hours away near St. Louis, Alice died in my wife's arms. Three weeks later, I can still hear my wife crying as I write this. A necropsy was performed at the U of I Veterinary school but results were inconclusive. Striegel called to inform us that the invoice for that necropsy was ready a week before the report was returned. Like other doctors, veterinarians swear an oath upon graduation: primum non nocere, first do no harm. Striegel did irrevocable harm to our Alice, deep and lasting harm to me and my wife. They did not provide the thorough, responsible care and follow-up we were promised and dutifully paid for. Alice was our best friend and constant companion. If you care for your pet as much as we did for her, you would be well advised to look elsewhere for a good veterinarian.

The two people that come to mind immediately are the Vet Tec, Brooke, and Dr. Collin Rhine. Their compassion over the years was spectacular and when we had to put our dog, Rocky, down, they were so supportive. Brooke took a liking to Rocky very early on and would always light up when we brought him in. She cried with my wife when we had to put him down, and to me that's a reflection of who she is, kind and compassionate. Dr. Collin always gave us hope when we needed hope but honesty when it was time to say goodbye. We had no doubt he did everything he could to help our little guy out, by far the best veterinarian our Rocky had the privilege of seeing in his nearly 18 years of life. If you're looking for place to take your animals where they truly care about them, go to Central Hospital For Animals - Herrin.

The appointment was made fairly quickly for the next day (today on a Saturday) because I was told it might be an emergency. After Dr. McNit asked us a series of questions, one being how many cats do we have, she gave a condescending smirk at the fact we have 22 rescues (all spayed or neutered and indoor only), and basically accused the cats of not getting along and maybe that's why he has suddenly started having accidents. What? She has no idea how well behaved they all are, so YES they ALL get along amazingly well because she doesn't know that I train them. Long story short, she gave me information about ferimones I can get through Amazon, and said that she wouldn't be able to do an ultrasound on him to check for urine crystals or stones until next Friday when the tech is there who does that. Now, my thinking is if a pet parent calls about a possible emergency, shouldn't the doctor be prepared? At least recommend another vet? Instead, we had to reschedule for next Friday when the proper tests can be done, and we were charged $80 today for nothing but a consultation. I will be canceling that appointment and getting my fur buddy to a better vet. So disappointed with CHFA. They used to be better than that.
