I just moved to the area from NYC, and have a dog and cat. This place is amazing! Exactly what…read moreyou'd want from a veterinary office for family pets. I was going to take them up to the commercial vet in Mt. Pocono, but that vet had some bad reviews about pushing unneccessary tests, etc on owners which is competely urksome to me as I've been through that so many times in the city. This is not that vet! They took my appointment no problem. Wait time is completely reasonable, and everyone is super friendly. Check-in was a breeze, and they got the jist of what I was looking for. Not to mention, the most handome pup that is at the front desk to greet you when his owners there (which I'm guessing is most of the time :)). They have a tv with some Disney movies on in case you bring your kiddos as well. I do not have insurance for my animals, but instead have a small fund on the side to pay for their bills (just works for me, but they obviously take insurance as well). On the intake form there is actually an itemized checklist of things that are common to get for your pets WITH THE PRICING LISTED. What a breath of fresh air!!! You can add things like anal gland expressing or blood work, flea and tick meds, etc. and the price is just right there before you even go in. Took my dog on the first day, and my cat the following. Great folks, and are extremely down to earth. In and out blood work and some updated meds and done. Next day, same exact thing. The Doctor himself is EXTREMELY qualified (obviously, the team surrounding is great, too, just speaking specifically to him). He has a background in medicine from NYC, and not to mention from all over the world on all kinds of various animals. Really nice guy, and easy to talk to when it comes to what he feels your animal needs, or doesn't need, for that matter. Overall, extremely fair, upfront pricing, and a team and doctor that are likely more knowledgable than the person at the turn-around commercial clinic up the block. PS, if you're from out-of-town with your pet, they literally take appointments so easily. I saw two people I chatted with in the waiting room that had some last minute issues and said they had called that day, and I honestly didn't see it cause any delays or anything to my wait time at all. Let's just say this. Both my animals are well into their golden years, and I will be bringing them to this vet the whole way through with full confidence they will be able to care for them for whatever comes up with including surgeries or simple care. I LOVE it when I find a new doctor for something when I move somewhere I like. Yes! Checked that off the list....now who has a good destist in the area... :) So, yeah. Obviously 5 stars, highly recommend.

The first time my one cat was sick they were awesome. Called and took me in right away. He had a…read moreUTI, gave him shots and we were on our way. They were very reasonably priced. The other time my other cat was sick, they took x-rays, bloodwork, etc. apparently misdiagnosed her. I was charged a very large amount of money. I ended up taking her to an emergency vet a few days later. The emergency vet called absolutely called ACC trying to get the X-rays and bloodwork so they didn't have to repeat it all, and they never sent it over even thought they said they would. I had to pay for all of that to get done again and my cat ended up dying. I also spent $2000 at the emergency vet due to having to repeat everything that was already done by ACC and they didn't send the results as promised. I couldn't wait any longer on them to send the items requested. Overall I know they ended up closing, but wanted to leave this review anyway.

I'll start with this... my dog has frequent ear infections. The vet wanted to look in her ear, but…read moremy dog was not having it. He recommended sedation so that he could see if there was something underlying in her ear. No problem.. She was given the "chill protocol". I gave her some of the medication the night before and the morning of as per the directions. I brought my dog in, she was loopy, but not sedated and they needed to sedate her more so they could check. They were able to look in her ear but could not see what they wanted as they told me her ear canals were too small. Then they gave her medication (an injection) to wake her up and said it should only be a few minutes. She did not wake up in their time frame and at one point there were three staff members in there.. rubbing her, checking her heart rate and breathing. Nothing yet... after about 15 minutes still nothing.. I was rubbing her and talking to her. An older gentleman came in and decided that he was going to carry my unconscious dog to my car and put her in the back seat. He said if I had any problems call. I sat in the office parking lot in my car for another 15 minutes talking to and rubbing my dog until she finally started to wake up. Did they need to get my dog out of there to free up a room? You decide Just an FYI for those who do not know... they charge an "emergency" visit if they have a same day appointment available, so if you want that appointment you have to pay for an emergency visit. Finally, they upcharge medication. I needed 5 additional pills for one of my dogs to hold him over until his shipment (from their online pharmacy) arrived. When I questioned the charges the nice woman apologized, and did two additional times (it's not her fault). I canceled my dogs future appointment. I'm not going to say anything else on the matter as the above is 100% accurate. Make your decision wisely.
