I've brought all of my pets to Creekside, over the past 12 years. They are always very accommodating. Also, their fees are very reasonable.

After a short battle with cancer, we put our sweet girl Tuesday to sleep at VEG ER. They are…read morepartnered with Abbey Glen so we made our final rest decisions at the vet and was followed up with an email a day or so later to review our choices. Everything was clear and she was cremated within 24 hours of passing. Once she was ready to be shipped to us we received notification via email. Here is where things get sticky. The day she was supposed to be delivered was my first day back at work. My husband was home ready and waiting. I was refreshing the USPS tracking like a mad person while at work, wanting to ensure we got her in our hands. It was an emotional time and it still is. After refreshing the tracking again, it said return to sender, address unknown. I was so upset and nervous our package would be lost and we would never have her. I called the Abbey Glen office and spoke to a wonderful woman whose name I cannot remember. She was so nice and understanding and even said to me "we will be sure to get your baby home." She actually ended up calling someone she knew at the post office, who knew the manager of the post office where the package was coming from. Since it was so early in the morning, they were able to intercept the package and hold it at the post office so we could pick it up. I am so grateful to this woman for that. Everything was packaged with care, there was bubble wrap and packing peanuts. Her actual ashes were placed inside a velvet pouch and came with her urn, clay paw print with her name, nose print, as well as a certificate of the day she was cremated. I felt like everything was done with care it felt good knowing she was well taken care of. This was such an emotional experience for us and I feel such comfort in knowing that this final part of Tuesday's life was treated with such honor and respect.

As I stated in my Facebook review: We would like to express…read moreour thanks and gratitude to Tender Comforts In home Pet Euthanasia for helping us today as our beloved Hamish transitioned from our hands across the bridge to God's hands. Hamish is our beloved almost 16 year old dog who had been increasingly in pain and panting, showing signs of dementia, and losing the ability to get up off the floor without assistance. Making the decision to put him to sleep was so very difficult. We were so relieved to find a vet who could provide a relaxing outdoor setting without the stress of a traditional veterinary hospital. Tender Comforts In home Pet Euthanasia is set on a farm in the country, so, on a plush blanket laid on grass and clover, underneath an oak tree, with a picnic table and benches available, beloved Hamish was able to gently leave behind his pain and anxiety with the help of Dr. Craig Little and Nurse Cindy. They explained everything that was going to take place and chatted with us which helped us relax. And of course they handled Hamish gently and compassionately. I was able to sit on the grass right next to Hamish and pet him constantly throughout the procedure. They explained some things along the way which was helpful. I remember Dr. Little reaching across Hamish with his stethscope to listen to his heartbeat, and gently indicating to me that he was gone. We were not rushed away; I was able to continue petting and talking to Hamish as long as I wanted to. My husband and I, as well as Hamish, were treated with great respect. Before we left, there were hugs all around. I noticed that when we left, Cindy got on the ground with Hamish and continued to pet and care for him. So for Hamish, it was a day that began with a breakfast of brownies, ham and cereal, which was followed by a nice ride in the car to Readington, where he got out onto a grassy field with a cozy blanket waiting for him to rest upon, and friendly people waiting to help him. Yes we are sad, and yes, we miss him, but the quality of care we received from Tender Comforts In home Pet Euthanasia definitely has helped us get through it. I should also mention that Dr. Little's wife Susie was our first contact with Tender Comforts In home Pet Euthanasia. She set up our appointment, and facilitated changing the times when we requested it. She was very compassionate! I also need to mention that we were given a sympathy card with wild flower seeds and a pamphlet on coping on the loss of a companion animal. I would not hesitate to use this service again, and highly recommend them to anyone who needs it for their pet. This is a tremendous resource!

Susie and Dr. Craig could not have been more caring when my dog Rio stayed with them for a week. Of…read morecourse they sent photos and texts and treated Rio like a prince. Because Rio is an older dog and not always a great eater, Dr. Craig kept Rio in his lap and hand fed him. Susie cut up his meat in tiny pieces and sprinkled treat tidbits on top to tempt my fussy eater. Rio was so in love with Dr. Craig that he followed him non-stop and slept with him. Susie and Dr. Craig go way beyond mere daycare and understand each dog as an individual. They cater to doggy preferences (and they love and board cats, too). If you're lucky enough to get a space at Tender Comforts, you'll find an amazing place for your dog to spend time while you're away.

When he asked when I'd like to pick up my pet's ashes, I said the next day. He told me I couldn't because he wouldn't be there and to come back on Saturday, but he never gave me a specific time. When I returned on Saturday, I called him to let him know I was there. That's when he told me pickup was between 11 and 12. I explained that he never mentioned a time, and his response was, "That's what they all say." Losing a pet is already heartbreaking. I believe a business that handles something so sensitive should have a clearer system for pickup -- and show a little more empathy to grieving pet owners.

I thought I called the wrong number since this is a business and they did not announce themselves. When I asked "Where am I calling" he replies "You dont know where youre calling?" I was able to come in the same day to bring my pet which was very convenient. When he brought me into his office, he was not very sympathethic to my current loss and was just providing small talk - my precious baby was just put on the conveyor belt. I would have a box or something to make it a little less harsh. The next day I came to get my ashes, he came out immediately. There was no service and I was trying to get service to put my address in the GPS which took about 4 minutes to which he came outside and asked me to please move down the road because his dogs were barking. Going to him directly cut the price down and allowed me to ride with my precious babygirl the whole way but I wish he would remember that although it is a business, some sort of empathy should be displayed when it is the person bringing their own deceased pet.
