Cremation services include a wooden urn, nameplate, and a certificate... they did a great job!!
    Carlos C.

I used their cremation services for my mom's dog Mijo after he became ill. We were extremely happy with the service performed and the staff was very helpful, kind, and sympathetic to the loss of our beloved pet. Our vet recommended this place because we didn't want Mijo cremated at the humane society because we wanted a private cremation and to make sure he was properly handled. It took about a week to receive his ashes which was personally delivered to the vet and beautifully packaged in a wooden urn with a certificate, and an engraved name plate to place on the urn... It was a relief to know that Mijo was in good hands and that helped give us a sense of closure. Glen Abbey also has other services such as different pet memorials and you're able to view the cremation. I didn't find this out until it was to late.

Our dog passed away yesterday and they were able to accommodate us on the same day which I greatly appreciated. The entire staff were patient, friendly, compassionate, helpful, and overall professional. The quality of their services impressed me. I will forever be grateful to them for making one of the most horrible days of my life just a bit more tolerable. The oak urn is a beautiful remembrance of my fur daughter and I will always treasure all the other keepsakes. They were also dependable and provided quality service in regards to our cat's cremation last month. While we waited for our dog to be cremated, we strolled through their gorgeous grounds. I can only imagine how lovely it would be during spring and summer. We were able to take our dog's cremains and keepsakes home the same day. We did have to pay an extra fee for this but I was fine with it because we are not local to this area. I highly recommend them. Thanks Abbey Glen for all that you've done for my family.

    Mama misses you, Lexi.

We returned in approximately 2 hours to pick up her ashes that had been placed in the urn we purchased and took her home.

When he asked when I'd like to pick up my pet's ashes, I said the next day. He told me I couldn't because he wouldn't be there and to come back on Saturday, but he never gave me a specific time. When I returned on Saturday, I called him to let him know I was there. That's when he told me pickup was between 11 and 12. I explained that he never mentioned a time, and his response was, "That's what they all say." Losing a pet is already heartbreaking. I believe a business that handles something so sensitive should have a clearer system for pickup -- and show a little more empathy to grieving pet owners.

I thought I called the wrong number since this is a business and they did not announce themselves. When I asked "Where am I calling" he replies "You dont know where youre calling?" I was able to come in the same day to bring my pet which was very convenient. When he brought me into his office, he was not very sympathethic to my current loss and was just providing small talk - my precious baby was just put on the conveyor belt. I would have a box or something to make it a little less harsh. The next day I came to get my ashes, he came out immediately. There was no service and I was trying to get service to put my address in the GPS which took about 4 minutes to which he came outside and asked me to please move down the road because his dogs were barking. Going to him directly cut the price down and allowed me to ride with my precious babygirl the whole way but I wish he would remember that although it is a business, some sort of empathy should be displayed when it is the person bringing their own deceased pet.

We knew that we wanted to have her cremated as we had done we other pets that had passed through the years. We had dealt with another crematory in the past through our vet(s) and were nt happy with the recent reviews that they'd been getting. After some research we came upon your crematory and were happy with what we were reading about other people's experiences. We called that morning and spoke to Marisol who was very sympathetic, informative, and respectful. She gave us an appointment right away. We drove to them in Secaucus from Brooklyn and when we arrived Marisol met us at the door. She and Mariah were very polite, understanding, and accommodating. They took our Oreo and placed her on a bed surrounded by flowers and gave us some time alone to say our goodbyes. Marisol then waked us through the cremation process and showed us where it would be done and guaranteed us that it would only be Oreo's ashes that we would be receiving. We were given the opportunity to be present for Oreo's cremation. Ultimately Oreo's ashes were returned to us in less than 2 hours and were were able to bring her back home with us same day. They made this sad morning easier to get through. Along with Oreo's ashes we received a beautiful wooden box to keep her in with an engraved brass pate attached, a certificate allowing us to travel with her ashes, a wooden beaded bracelet, her paw print in clay with 2 gems attached, a stand for her paw print, a rose that lights up, and a notebook with the Rainbow Bridge poem on the cover. We were overwhelmed by all that we were given and the wonderful service that we were provided by Marisol and Mariah. We highly recommend Pet Rest in Peace to any loving pet owner.

From the very beginning, it was clear this is a family-owned place run with compassion and integrity. They treated my cat with the utmost dignity and care, and they treated us, the grieving family, with patience and respect. Not once did we feel rushed or disregarded. They gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye, and they did it in the most humble and comforting way possible. In moments like these, emotions run high, and it is rare to find people who truly understand how to handle them. The team here made sure our grief was honored, our feelings were acknowledged, and that our cat's final journey was handled with gentleness. If you are ever in the painful position of needing these services, I cannot recommend them enough. They go far beyond just providing a service. They provide care, respect, and compassion when you need it most.

We were so in shock with grief we allowed her to direct us to put our animal on a steel scale, without his towel, RIGHT NEXT TO THE OVEN. He died weighing 6 pounds, significantly under their cutoff for the first level of pricing. Why was this necessary????? HIGHLY TRAUMATIZING. After the paperwork was signed, she said, "You'll have it back tomorrow". It? Really? Our beloved pet? Don't get me started on the plain white tin. They have a nice display where they rip you off on the prices of decent boxes and urns. After we got back to the car, my husband raced back in and retrieved our cat's body (and our check). We took him to our usual vet clinic, which is WONDERFUL (Wallenpaupack Vet Clinic) where we and our cat were treated with the kindness and respect we would have expected. Our wonderful cat will be cremated by the good folks at Abbey Glen in NJ (who have cremated most of my companion animals). (And for the same price.)
