I don't go to this store very often. The times I have needed dog food in-between chewy orders they never have it. They have very limited selection of Proplan. The store is so small its cluttered. Now the owners have the cashiers asking for ID to get senior discount. They are loosing money giving this discount. I do not think this is causing them to lose money. Pet food is not a controlled substance. That is crazy. If the store doesn't want to give discounts stop doing it. Don't be offensive and rude demanding to see your license. LOL And the product is cheaper at grocery store without a discount. I will not go back to this Pet Supplies Plus. read more

I came into the store to get comets for my frogs and ended up leaving with $60 in dog treats plus comets! When I got to the register Autumn, a new associate was so nice! She mentioned I was her 3rd customer, dispite her being new and was on her own l was so impressed with her attitude and work ethic, as i stood waiting for my fish she was strightning and greeting all the customers who walked in and right there to ring when customers were ready! My nephew wanted another fish to keep his female beta fish company, so he drug me out of the house and we came here. Mind you, I didn't want to go fish shopping, but after I got there we were greeted by friendly staff and our experience made the trip pleasant. They had a nice variety of fresh water fish and the young lady that showed them to us was very knowledgeable and explained the do's and don'ts, what types of fish were compatible and what ones were not. Always have great experiences here. During a previous visit my fiancé and I asked to see some animals and the staff was extremely helpful. Today I stopped in with my dog after visiting Wilson's Vet in Romeo. Poor girl had to get a cone and her tail was bandaged. Some of the staff noticed my Ellie sporting the cone of shame and gave us a get well bag of cookies. The gesture was definitely appreciated. Great customer service. What a pleasant staff. Called first to see what selection of kitten collars were in stock. She let me know she would have to put me on hold and if that was okay while she checked stock. She left and when she returned, in hardly any time at all, she had an apology that it took a couple more minutes than planned due to other customers stopping to ask questions. She had detailed descriptions of each collar. When we went to the store, both employees were very friendly and helpful. Such a pleasant experience. read more

We were greeted immediately by the cashier and asked if she could help us. Not if we needed help but if she could help us, there is a difference. We were there for a small dog crate, she climbed up the ladder to get it for us, asked us if we wanted the assembled one or one in the box. We took the assembled one. She was fast, friendly and efficient. Whatever bad reviews this location has received in the past have obviously been remedied. I wish this location was closer to us. I loved this store until my last visit in the fall last year.They had a new manager a man who was very rude.He had his dog running loose in the store and as I came in it ran out the door and into the parking area. I was telling the girl at the register and she said it was the managers dog. This dog ran around the store no leash(it was a very nice dog) but other dogs were barking etc. The manager finally called him in the office.No apology to customers etc. Very arrogant man. I said all this on a survey and after that I never received my usual dogs birthday gifts. I asked and the girl at the register said it would come the next week. It never came and this was the first time in years. I haven't been back since. I do my shopping at Chewy.com and amazon. Sorry because the staff is excellent and I enjoyed our visits. read more

This is the worst pet store I have ever tried to shop at. The staff has never once over the last 4 visits asked if they could help me or assisted me in any way. All the staff here can been seen doing is sitting by the registers gossiping about customers. The last time I attempted to purchase dog food here two of the staff were actually making fun of an older gentlemen who had just left the store after making a purchase. Avoid at all measures unless you enjoy supporting cruel and lazy workers. read more

My wife and I have shopped here for years and we make sure to give this PSS our support and business since they've rightfully earned it. From the owner to the manager to the associates, we receive exemplary attention and the store is well-stocked, super clean and most pet-friendly! Their associates are well-trained, have a goodly amount of expertise and knowledge about their products and are always actively engaged and attentive to customer's needs, questions and are exceptionally courteous and approachable. They have a well-functioning team and behave with a mature disposition though most of the staff is 30 years and younger. they continue to expand their line of products and services and have a wide array of interesting pets and fish selection. We know the older lady manager who had an allegedly "miserable look" on her face and have found her to be a wonderfully warm woman who has persevered through a lot of personal loss, health problems and hardship but still we call her "friend". Do not, do not, do not buy fish from Pet Supplies Plus in Oxford! We had a healthy thriving tank full of happy fish...we bought a pleco from Pet Supplies Plus and put it into the tank and within 6 days all the fish were dead from a disease that the pleco had. I went and had my water tested and they said my water is perfectly ideal for fish so it 100% was the disease that fish had. I had been warned that Pet Supplies Plus had issues with diseased fish, dirty tanks, inadequate filtration in their tanks and I have often seen dead fish in their tanks but I just brushed it off...I am regretting that in a big way now! Now I have to empty my entire tank, bleach everything out and start all over again...and I have some very sad children. read more
