I went here when I was first starting out. Dan, the owner, took a good amount of time going through everything I would need and what to expect. I even took notes, them compared them to some online research. His suggestions were spot-on...no pushing his own stock for the sake of a sale. Everyone there has been helpful during every return visit (and there have been many). My only complaint is long delayed web presence for the store. Vermilion isn't close and I'd like to know what available. Nothing worse than driving 45 minutes to find out that tomorrow is a big shipment with tons of cool stuff. That quibble aside, if you're just getting into the hobby or experienced but haven't been willing to make the trip out (I'm talking to you, eastsiders) --- take the plunge. It's worth it.

Only one time were we made aware that our dogs ears were matted at the bottom so instead of charging us extra right then they waited until we made another appointment online and hit us with the extra cost. The only downside to the focus on saltwater fish is that it is taking away their freshwater fish selection. Before you could find odd freshwater fish such as the Belonesox, Nigerian Bicher, Longnose Gar, Arowannas and many more that are no longer there.
