I overall love pet supplies plus to buy what I need for my fur babies, but several times when I went in the store I noticed the condition of the animals, the animal seem unhealthy and neglected. The staff seem not to care about the welfare of the animals that's in the store. There was a sick ferret that was vomiting with runny diarrhea and was like that for a while and no one even attempt to assist and make sure the animal was OK. When I brought this issue to the staff, they replied we are short staff. There's no way that's acceptable. Maybe they shouldn't have animals in the store If you cannot meet every need of each individual Animal make sure they're taking care of and healthy. read more

Stopped into the West Seneca location at 3984 Seneca St. off of Union Rd during my lunch today to pick up some feeders. On my way to the register, I saw a stand apart from the shelves that states in large letters: Member Pricing **THIS ITEM IS FREE** They looked like larger sized sample bags. So I asked the closest employee what this was and if it was samples. She looked at me and said "Can't you read?!?" in a very snarky way. I said, "Well yes, but it states that it's free so I figured I'd ask." She says, "if you read it, then you'd know". I didn't bother, I just put my stuff down and left. I have never and would never speak to anyone, asking me a simple question, in the manner she spoke to me. This awful, awful old woman must be a peach to work with... I normally go to PetSmart for all my kitties needs, but today I came here for a spray to try to keep my 3 babies away from my Christmas Tree & PetSmart did not Carry it. It was stuffy in here & smelled like animals, which was the downside. The upside, I was taken care of fairly fast & they had a large assortment of things that I look for at PetSmart, but they never have. 1 thing imparticular is a small,cute,kitty tag. PS only has 1 in stock at all times & 1 of my cats already have it. But here, they have a few to choose from & different colors as well. They unfortunately were out of all the ones I liked, so I need to check back in a week to see if they're back in stock. I guess I'll prob come here when PetSmart doesn't have what I'm looking for, because they are Much closer to where I live. But, it was a pretty good store. read more

I stopped by Pet Supplies Plus to get a few items for my new puppy. I was particularly interested in getting a harness and a leash but of course she was too little to fit almost anything in the store. Joey was a great help. He came out of his section to help me. He supported me with trying on a number of different leashes and harnesses on to the dog. Outside of that experience the rest of the staff were not amazing!! I just didn't feel the supportive nature of the store at all. Now granted I did have a lot of questions , but still. In fact, as I was walking out the door I said thank you and the clerks said virtually nothing. I even heard the other woman ask about the harness I tried which made me question why she was suspicious. Other then that the store was pretty organized, affordable, and generally clean. I'd consider going back just not with the highest expectations from the staff. read more

I visited the Sheridan Drive store to purchase dog food. I purchased a thirty-pound bag and took it to check out. The person at the register was at first helpful when he rang up my purchase and assured me someone would help me with a carry out to the car. His tune changed when I gave him my 25% off coupon. He told me he actually did not have any one to help me and I could use a cart to take the food to the car. Now I do not usually shop here, but have I shopped here occasionally in the past out of necessity. The store is run down, shabby and unwelcoming and I just do not like this company, and I find the person who waited on me who may be a manager on the smarmy side. This latest shop is the last. The local pet shop has closed, where I bought Dash's food and their sister store is in the Falls, a 20-minuet hike just one way. Working on an option B and C, cause Option A was a failure. read more

Went in for a self serve dog wash yesterday and had a bad experience. Both machines were out of shampoo, neither station was clean, with fur from a previous dog scattered about, as well as standing water on the floor. When I let an associate know about the shampoo situation, she answered with "just use the other one". The other one was out too. We ended up having to pour shampoo concentrate from a gallon jug, which was not meant to be used in that way. The towels that were provided were full of fur balls from other dogs and didn't seem clean at all. The whole experience was kind of gross, and employee attitude was pretty bad. Well staffed, and nobody seemed to want to remedy the situation. read more

I take my dog here to get groomed by Jessica and every time she does an amazing job. There's honestly no one I would trust more with my dog. Not to mention, my dog is obsessed with Jessica! I placed an order for online pickup at this location, even though it is further from my home. I ordered my puppy her food and a large Kong toy, which were in stock and only took an hour to complete my order. I like to be their curbside pick-up option because I don't like to take my two kids out of the car for a five-minute trip and load them right back in the car on a busy street. The curbside pick-up option is so easy to do, so fast, and the employees are very friendly when they bring your order to your vehicle. read more

I had placed a delivery order that ultimately went to the wrong address/town. Dumb Uber. Kat was extremely helpful and personally delivered my order the following day. She followed up with me every step of the way. From filing a claim with Uber, verifying and delivering my package, and even calling me to confirm that the delivery was complete. I have to admit I was bummed at first. My poor cats had to piss on top of piss for an extra day. I have an anxious dog who needed a bath desperately. She's a good girl, just a little scared of little dogs (she's a lab) and has a bit of anxiety around noises. We had tried to take her to the Amherst Pet supplies plus before but she had an anxiety attack there. We took her to the Buffalo location today where she had a bath with Jessica. I cannot recommend Jessica enough. She was so good with my dog, it felt like she really cared about her. She was kind, patient, and gentle with my anxious goofball dog. My dog did great with her bath, because of this. When we came to pick her up, my sweet dog was taking a nap at her feet and they were just hanging out together. Im so grateful to have found someone who made my dog feel comfortable and took great care of her. Cannot say enough good things about Jessica. read more

This place is way better than PetSmart in terms of dog food selection, pricing and convenience. They carry a lot of high quality dog food that have the same prices if you would buy them online. The staff is friendly and helpful and will gladly offer your dog a treat. Note* They also have a self serve dog wash station. This is great for all of those times where your dog is muddy or sandy and you do not want to trash your own bathroom. The self serve dog wash bath and drying process can take as long as you like! The only comment I had about the bath is it seemed like the water was luke warm but on the colder side. Maybe this is ok for summer but it definitely would be no good for the winter. I also could have been adjusting this wrong so I will look into it for next time. The bath costs $10 to use their self serve tubs. read more

We had a specific brand in mind, but one of the workers said they did not carry it.
