Omg! Where do I start. While waiting to pick up my pup I see a wet dog in front of a floor fan, shivering to death. Poor thing. I couldn't get it out of my head. My dog was probably treated the same, I would expect a warm blow dryer. My pups cut was choppy and the paws were not cleaned up very well. Kinda looked like the groomer used a dull clipper on my pups coat. Or can't see very well. read more

After keeping my dog for over 6 hours he looked the same as when I brought him in. A toy poodle....face was not touched, even still had the crusty eyes. Hair was not pulled from the ears, dried food was still around the mouth, no hair was trimmed. Body was not trimmed or brushed out. I wanted to like this place but this was highly unacceptable. We chose Darcy's for our dog grooming needs for a few reasons: 1. The rescue we got one of our dogs from works closely with the groomers there. 2. Once we went to 3 dogs we had to find a cost effective grooming option. Darcy's is not only very reasonably priced but they also do a fantastic job. They do a thorough grooming package including nails, ear hair and teeth cleaning. And every time (THIS IS MY FAVORITE PART) our pups come home with a personalized report card from their visit. Kathy at Darcy's has always done a wonderful job with our laid-back domestic long-haired cat, Squeak. Squeak tends to get a buzz cut when summer comes to help her get through the hot days. For that, we drop her off in the morning and come back in the afternoon to a happy, clean cat. Recently, we brought Francesca (Frankie), our new nine month old Maine Coon in to get some terrible mats out of her coat. We asked if we could stick around and watch, so we could get an idea of how to maintain this beautiful cat's difficult coat. I honestly wasn't sure they'd get far, because Frankie has been difficult when I've tried to brush her. Well, to see Kathy and her assistant (didn't get her name, but she was fabulous) in action was a sight to behold. They were quick, firm and professional. In a matter of 25 minutes, they had removed some very dense mats and combed Frankie out. Although this kitten wasn't absolutely thrilled at the end of the experience, by the time we got home, Frankie was purring to beat the band, and has been purring ever since. Clearly, her grooming has helped her feel much better. She'll become a regular at Darcy's! I can't say enough about the good service we've had at Darcy's with our cats. If you're a long-haired cat owner in search of professional, caring groomers with really decent prices and a willingness to answer questions and give advice, look no further. read more

When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by a smiling staff member who was cheery and eager to help me find exactly what I needed. She let me browse the selection, but offered to order anything that I couldn't find in stock. The storefront was clean and organized with a nice assortment of treats and toys for your canine or feline friend. I was very pleased to see the large variety of Lupine collars, leashes and harnesses. I visited a number of local retailers and this was one of the best in-stock selections in the area. (For those interested in Lupine, Darcy's honors the guarantee and will even ship it back for you!) Overall, I am very pleased to have stumbled upon Darcy's. I'm a Yelper and I was looking for a dog groomer near my office where I take my dog everyday, and I saw Darcy's was about a mile down the road and they got a 5 bark review so I thought I would take a chance on romance for my dog, Louie. I've got to tell you, Yelp got it right for sure. Darcy's is fantablous!! They loved my dog and he loved them. He's a pretty happy dog most of the time anyway but when I picked him up he looked great, and they put an extra swagger back in his step. Now he looks SASSY. The blue bandana they fitted him for fives him an extra edge. The staff was super friendly. and the place was extra clean. Darcy's is the bomb. read more

Our first visit to Darcy's for our new puppy Violet who is a Shih Tzu/Havanese mix. Great service...I had lots of questions and the staff was terrific. Easy off street parking. Just came back from our first visit to Darcy's. We will definitely go again. Paring is very easy in the large lot. The front part of the store is very clean and offers many treats for pets and even some for humans! The ladies at Darcy's are warm and friendly and really love pets! Our pug had a shampoo, ear cleaning, nails trimmed, glands expressed, teeth brushed and a bandana all for $25. $10 cheaper than where we were going before and teeth brushing was not included. We have been taking our dog her for years. We ignored some dirt left in her floppy ears, a nail cut too low that was bleeding, but after today we are done. We never get her shaved. There was a spot on her chest, shaved down so low it was pretty much a bald spot. They have become very sloppy. I always wondered why she shakes so much when going there. I will never bring her there again. Yes, they are cheap, but I would be willing to pay a few dollars more for a happy, clean, no bald spots, and nails clipped correctly. I would highly recommend NOT bringing your pet here. read more

Little Buddy was a toy poodle, rescued from a puppy mill where he had been a breeder. He was very shy and scared of everything, so I was concerned about how the grooming experience might go for him. A friend recommended Darcy, and told me that she had worked with rescues and other shelter dogs. Buddy was welcomed with open arms by the wonderful staff there, and over the eight years he was with me he was never afraid to go to this little 'spa'. Darcy was always encouraging and gentle with him. He did make an awful barking racket when he was waiting to be picked up, and even that was accepted by the staff as part of his personality...no complaints. Bud went over the Rainbow Bridge a few weeks ago, but I know he's right here with me smiling as I write this, and telling you all to stop in and give it a try--- you won't find better in Buffalo! read more

took our dog in for a grooming on a Wednesday- took him back on a sunday to have his face fix(not even cut the first time) when we took him in they did such a BAD job. when I called to talk to owner she seemed like she didn't even care. I explained after this is the 4th time we took him there and second time we had an issue. owner didnt even say what can I do to make it better for you!!!!!!!! fi she would of offered us a refund or something I would go back but she didn't!!! don't go there!! I was in search for a new groomer for my 3 1/2 year old PomaPoo "Molly" when I came upon Darcy's Grooming. The Location was fairly close, but more importantly the reviews online were very good, so I decided to visit their location before making an appointment, just to check it out. The girls were very friendly and the shop was busy with dogs and cats getting their beauty treatments. The shop was well set up and clean and the ladies who assisted me with making the appointment were very nice so I decided to go ahead and give them a try. I was able to get a next day appointment which I was very pleased with since I had let my little Molly turn in to a full blown Hippie (no offense to Hippie's!) Next morning I brought Molly in at 9am and the shop was already buzzing with activity. This was honestly the first time I ever saw a cat get shaved!! So I dropped off my Molly and watched as she was whisked away to her kennel with that "don't leave me" look in her eyes. By 1pm I got the call that she was done so I shot down there to pick her up. I must say, she was cuter than ever before with a little bow in her hair. The cut was perfect and she seemed very calm for all the activity in the shop. The ladies said she was great and if Molly could talk, I'm sure she would say the same about them. She even got a report card for her visit which she scored well enough to earn her some treats when we got home. In all seriousness, I was very pleased with the experience and will make Darcy's my go to Groomer going forward. If you are trying to choose a quality groomer for your four legged family member, don't hesitate to give Darcy's a try! read more
