In comparison to others of this chain, location is itsy-bitsy, meaning quite small. Parking consists of five spots give or take up front and that's all, so may the odds be ever in your favor. Going in you have a division. One side is cat central, while the other might as well be dog central. The cat vs. dog debate clearly lives on. Seeing as we went because of a cat, we stayed in that section. Eventually we ventured to the middle where they sell guinea pigs, ferrets, birds, and even rabbits. I honestly considered getting a rabbit, but eh, with what time? Going into this store opens up your heart to life's creatures. We didn't spend much and ended up with toys and useful products for the cat. I mean, come now, they have cat toothpaste and shampoo. Definitely go to get something for your pet, but don't expect a lot of variety. If you want a lot of stuff, you're better off going to the bigger location in Hialeah Gardens (or at least I think it's there). read more

You know that convenience store that comics joke about and Beyonce did a song about? The Hialeah Pet Supermarket is kind of the canine (and feline and marsupial) version of that! It's located 5 minutes from my office, right off West 49th Street (aka La 49) with a small parking lot and it's been there when I need to pick up food for my furchild and don't have the chance to go to my usual spot. They have a decent variety of all the main dog foods (Wellness, Royal Canin, etc) as well as some of the raw dog food I'm trying to give Luna now. Employees have been very pleasant and helpful, even with Luna's culinary pickiness (she would be a good Yelper!) Why three stars then? Well they're not a full service store - they don't have a groomer in this store (I was told only some Pet supermarkets do). I've also noticed some cans to be smashed, and some of the foil top packages partially open. Granted once I've pointed it out to employees, they've bern removed those cans from the shelf, but still it's concerning to this overprotective doggy parent. read more

I came in today to get kitten supplies..and left empty handed..not a lot of choice for bottle fed kittens..left empty handed. Store is located in the middle of Hialeah opposite Olive garden. Second time I have been here and when I came before I left empty handed too. I went to walmart and managed to get what I needed, tinned milk, and dewormer for kittens. read more

The enclosures they put the rabbits in is way to small for rabbits need more space in comparison, to a hamster .

I get mice and crickets from here so if you're looking for that this is the place to go. Great customer service, everyone is polite. It's peaceful and they take good care of the animals here. read more

Not the most helpful location. Had to buy a basking light and needed an associate to retrieve it from a locked case. I approached a girl at the register. She appeared to be doing some inventory. She grudgingly went to the case and showed us the that the case was unlocked. She told us to close it when we're done kind of abruptly. I have been to other friendlier locations and was kind of surprised by this experience. I also work in retail and I know I could never respond to a customer this way. read more

This pet supermarket holds a special place in my heart, it's the first pet store I went when i bought my dog Yogi a beagle. I received very good advice on his coat and what food I should have for his eating habits. I bought him several toys and both his water and food bowls. The staff is very friendly, and obviously very knowledgeable on pets. I've been here several times you can get a little crazy sometimes with a lot of people since it's in the major street in Hialeah, FL W 49th ST. At times you can't find any help but that is because of lack of manpower and the volume of people coming in and out. However, for the most part this store is fully capable of satisfying on your pet needs. read more

In my experience, this has been a very nice store to visit. Employees always greet you with a smile. Whenever something is out of reach, and they are more than willing to help you get it. Everything is pretty much clean, which is great for a pet store. Unfortunately, they are not currently accepting snip snap coupons. Other than that, this is a highly recommended store. read more

came in here in search of yet another good line of food for our poor cat silver who at 10yrs old seems to have become allergic to something in his old food. searching around the store, the young man (worker) came up to us and asked if he can assist us. we explained to him what was happening with silver and he sugguested several products which he considered could be useful. he did not try to push anything on us and also advised us to sign up for their reward program he was very helpful. store is kept nicely and easy to locate things. we also opted to make our doggie penny a name tag. he helped us out with that as well.. mind you store was not full at all, but there were a couple of customers. he was attentive to all. read more
