We were informed by staff that the only doctor on duty was in surgery and that there was no veterinarian immediately available to evaluate him. We were advised not to bring him in. The interaction with the receptionist was also notably lacking in empathy or urgency, which was especially distressing given the seriousness of the situation. For a facility that represents itself as a 24-hour emergency hospital, this was deeply concerning. If an urgent patient cannot be evaluated because the only doctor is unavailable, that reflects a significant gap in emergency coverage. This was not an isolated issue, as we had experienced ongoing communication and responsiveness concerns over time. After years as clients, and following my dog's passing, we did not receive any acknowledgment from the hospital. He was family. We expected urgency, compassion, and accountability. For these reasons, we have transferred our pets' care elsewhere.

Dr. Block is a compassionate and skilled vet. They have seen my kids through puppyhood to senior age- dealing with any illness from shots, diets up to cancer. Their primary concerns were always the welfare of my fur kids no matter what time of day or day of the week. Having these professional and compassionate people taking care of my brood makes pet ownership so much easier.

The things that were said to me about my concerns were - "I only gave that medication for you, not your pet" - after a routine screening when my pet was wailing in distress - "Oh , they're just being dramatic" - and when confronted with concern for boarding care - "it sounds like you don't trust me so I can't trust you ". After departing and getting our files, I read through and there were inaccurate comments written about our interactions. Medication prices are astronomical and there is unwillingness to work with chewy. No after hours support for any emergent questions that may arise.
