My mother bought my son a hamster and they charged her $50 for one hamster. I'd have no issue with this except the website clearly states a hamster cost $19.99. I called to inquire about the discrepancy and to see if they would honor the price they were marketing on their site. After being transferred to the cashier's "superior" I was told that they did not want to help me and the "superior" started yelling at me asking if I was really upset about being overcharged by $30. I am a big fan of supporting small business, but she told me I should shop at Petco or PetSmart. I plan on taking her advice... and encourage others to go elsewhere as well. If the owners read this 1) your employees could use training on customer service best practices, and 2) If you are unable to update your website, just take the site down (it's an easy option). False advertising is not okay. read more

PARVO puppies sold here!!!! March 8, 2025, I bought a King Caviler puppy 5 days later she had Parvo, , the pet store manager "Bruno" said she would take care of it and through many emails nothing has been done. my dog was hospitalized and i was told she would not make it. she was tough and did make it. 3,000 dollars in hospital costs. She was in the pen with 2 other dogs, and I had animal control go there to see if they were ok they said they were removed not sure what that means but nowhere to be found (most likely dead) DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE THEY HAVE SOO MANY SICK PUPPYS read more

It smells horrible! Like actually horrible in there, the puppies were crying with their tails down and there was way too many of them. They fed them well at least, but with how many they had there I wouldn't doubt that half of them are sick. It smelled like something rotting in there. Literally. I was in there for not even a minute and I had to leave because it was making my stomach weak. read more

Purchased my first very own (not a family shared pet) puppy here. I didn't not intend on buying when I went in but they let you hold and play with them. Needless to say, I fell completely in love with my little Tallulah. She cost a lot more than what I was expecting but, she came already micro-chipped and sent us home with a bag of puppy food. They have many different breeds to choose from. The staff is friendly and helpful. On our way home, my little fur ball threw up in the car. I chalked it up to motion sickness. She also started to not eat and was sleeping a lot. I chalked that up to her being in a new environment. I brought her to Adams County Animal Hospital for her free exam, etc. and it turns out my baby was really sick. The staff and owner of Pet Ranch were very compassionate and helped walk me through what needed to be done. If I ever purchase another pet, I will definitely go back to Pet Ranch. I am happy to report that Tallulah is well and thriving! Best purchase of my life! Adams County is a great place to take your pet by-the-way. Absolutely awful! My grandbaby and her friends went to go give God's little angels some love this evening... My sweet baby and her pals were told they could not hold the puppies and were accused of lying about their age ...my Alicia turned 18 in October and she's the youngest of her pack. I think the policy of having to be 18+ to love on some fur babies is despicable!! But regardless my Alicia and her pals are all 18+ and were told they couldn't hold puppies and when asking for the young lady's name that accused them were kicked out to the establishment for simply wanting justice!!! They are really nice but the smell is so bad! Even with doors open. Buyer Beware! I would give this business a zero if I could! We've gotten a few puppies from them and they've all had some type of a medical issue. However, the last dog we got has several medical issues. She has a defect in her chest in her rib cage that protrudes, a collapsing trachea, and luxating patella in one of her legs. Spoke to Bruno, she was the one that sold it to us, and apparently the manager or something, we told her about it, and she was acting all nice telling us to bring in the paperwork and she would let the breeder know and we could be reimbursed. We gave her the paperwork that we got from the doctor and then she's like well. We need an actual letter. Well first she said they never got it and she had me send it to them all over again. She did actually get them because before she said she had them, and she said she needed a letter from the doctor with her signature. However, all the paperwork that the doctor gave us had her signature and date on it. When we would call her, she would not return our calls and you could tell the person taking the call in the store knew she was there and would hesitate and ask who we were and then say she's not there or she was busy all the time. She was totally ignoring us and putting us off! The doctor said that we would potentially have high doctor bills when she needs starts getting worse! We are livid! I finally sent her the docs a third and fourth time and told her in the email that if we didn't hear back from them that I was going to get a lawyer involved. Still nothing! STAY AWAY from this place. I think somebody should investigate them because I think these puppies are probably from puppy mills. Every single one that we have gotten has had some kind of issue when we've taken them to the doctor like kennel cough, giardia, or some other disease. One of our pups had multiple sicknesses when we took them to the Adams County Hospital, which by the way Adams county hospital says they do not treat pet ranch puppies anymore. I have too many issues. They want you to buy their dogs, but they have horrible customer service! Never ever again! It's probably why they discount their dogs on the time read more

I bought my moyondoodle from there today and had a great experience. I am huge into vibrations from human interaction before purchasing even from the dollar store and I was greeted immediately, questions answered promptly and helped when finding supplies. If you come into a store with a bad vibe, that's what you will get back. I came in jolly and was treated with that in return. In addition, the young lady new from Oklahoma was extremely helpful and gave my baby a bath before coming home with me. We bought a five-month-old puppy from this store, without a contract or guarantee of his health, because his price was low compared to others. After an examination at the veterinary clinic, we learned that he has diastasis of the hip joints and he needs to have surgery. We are shocked by this diagnosis, this is a pathology at the genetic level and means that all puppies born to this "mom and dad" can have the same disease. We cannot and will not return the puppy, because it is not a toy or an item that can be returned or exchanged in a store. Be careful when buying yourself a faithful friend! read more

I do not recommend this business. They were unfriendly. However, I saw a dog I was interested in. My husband and I returned together. They were friendly and opened up a little play room for us to play with the puppy. Fast forward a couple of months. My two daughters and I come in today. Ready to purchase a Mal-Shih. Before I am allowed to play with the puppy, in the play room. Staff requests that I allow them to hold my Driver's License. She says it's because people steal puppies. She says they are by no means saying I will steal a puppy though. . I told them when I came with my husband. We weren't asked for ID. I called my husband on the phone. He confirmed. DO NOT BUY A PUPPY HERE!!!!! They sell SICK PUPPIES ALL THE TIME. I bought a Frenchie that cost 6k and and within the first week he was coughing, sneezing, constant diarrhea. He has now has spread the sickness to my other dogs in my home. Since it's VERY contagious. The vet said 80% of the dogs they see from pet ranch are sick. He in fact treated 3 of them today! I purchased a morkie from the store approximately 10 years ago. She passed away about 4 months ago. She was the light of my life. I am now ready, after grieving to purchase another morkie. For all the people who are writing bad reviews, I have contacted breeders, one scammed me, fortunately I did not like any money, my bank caught it and said there are so many puppy scams out there we are required to stop the transaction. Some breeders ask for deposit based on the picture and then say the puppy will be flown from another state. People never get their puppies . If you board your dog you are risking disease. Doggie daycare and trainingg you are risking disease. The price of tree puppies at this store are right within or less than a breeder will charge. I think being able to go in see the puppy , pay and take it home is a great way to do business. Would you buy a house (out of state) without seeing it.? I think the store is getting a bad wrap. Of course, you might smell poop, they ate puppies...I plan to get my next Morkie at Pet Ranch. I feel it is as clean as any breeder or shelter. read more

Sadly I resorted to purchasing a puppy from a pet store but he was just oh so cute!! but of course he came home with Giardia. Staff isnt very friendly, Dogs are eating each others poop, one dog pooped blood, I also noticed screaming pup in the back ( not sure what that was about). Recommendation: If you purchase a pup from here I would recommend making a same day vet appointment at Adams County Animal Hospital (the vet they send you to for free exam etc) and purchase blood work and Fecal exam. read more

Attempted to shop here twice this week after work (midweek). Arrived around 7:40 and 7:45. Both times the store was closed despite their store hours stated they close at 8pm, even on their new scheduled hours. Both times the employees observed me at the door and completely ignored that I was there. Granted they placed a hand written note saying "Closed". Customers plan for store hours to be honored. Instead they would rather close their doors and use hand written notes, basically referring "We don't want your service because we want to go home early". That's the message given to paying customers. They didn't even bother to answer their phones at 7:45pm. That's okay; we have a pup from a purchase their on Dec 2021. Same story as many others. It's unkept and smelly. Our pup also had to get medical treatment for a sickness contracted from there or the breeder. Pone are full and even observed pups stepping over one another to escape. I will not spend another dime on this place. Ungrateful and obviously service sucks. Buyer beware. Very much to a puppy mill with Ill pups that are overly priced. Suggest finding another pet store that's grateful and empathetic to their animals, staff, and customers. read more

Went there a few times. They have so many cute puppies. The staff is on top of cleaning up the stool as soon as they poop which is a good thing. It looks like they may be closing down because some isles there was nothing. I think that some of the prices of the dogs are a little ridiculous they did have a deal when he went there the deal was you make an offer and they ask the manager. Did you have hand sanitizer and it did not smell bad I'm not sure if I would buy dog from there. But then again if the price is right you never know. read more

We bought a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel from these guys and are so in love with our puppy! She is perfect! We had our complimentary very visit today and she is perfectly healthy. I was apprehensive at first since we have purchased from another pet store elsewhere and thought we'd never purchased from a pet store again. So we decided to check the store out. It was very clean, smelled clean and all of the animals looked very healthy. It was quite the opposite of some of the bad reviews that I've read about this place. The things that I love about this place, I really love. Vice versa, the con's are really terrible. That is why I am giving a neutral review. Yes, it's a puppy store, but the dogs are taken care of. I have gotten three puppies from here and they are all very happy and healthy and well. I can not stand the staff. The little blond teen girl is so disrespectful and rude. She has a horrible attitude, rolls her eyes. She really just seems to be an unhappy person. (There is more than one bad review about her and some other bad employees.) The prices are insane. Not sure if it's worth it or not, but things are only getting more and more expensive in Colorado. There are very limited, legitimate places to get puppies from anymore. It's a love hate situation here. read more

Be EXTREMELY AWARE of the FACT that this business is the "Front-Door" to "Puppy" milling. While they may have been in business for 14 years...their "standard of operations" is partnering with breeders who flip puppies very quickly. Meaning, they may have their vaccinations of record, look cute to the emotional shopper, who end up paying far to much...the reality is that if they don't take home a lethargic-sick puppy, it will quickly become one! The BS of a free wellness visit with Adams County Animal Hospital is just that! ACAH openly states that they cannot get your newly purchased puppy from "Pet Ranch" in within the required 7 days...but, your new puppy now has no energy, vomiting, diarrhea? So you take it to another vet and spend huge amounts of money to treat it from hypoglycemia to giardia, or worse! You somehow think it is your fault (even told that by staff when you call back for help, "it was the car ride home") as a new pet owner not taking good care of your new puppy and now your hundreds or thousands into it. So you suck it up, go into debt to safe a "puppy-milled" animal who will suffer problems due to its start in life! This is a FRONT DOOR of the puppy mill system!!! The owners and staff know exactly what they are doing, what they are selling, and how to promote it to put all the liability on the purchaser!!! READ ALL THE REVIEWS-EVERYWHERE and check the complaints on BBB!!! "Good" previous reviews are the handful of lucky ones or falsified? If you want to own a pet, love animals -DO YOUR RESEARCH! If you still decide to purchase a family pet from this place, be open to the FACT it will be an extremely expensive and emotional "Rescue" of an animal from a highly marketed company that partners with puppy mills and limited veterinarians...but, you paid, signed a purchase agreement and were played like a fool at the expense of a helpless animal! read more

Me friend I were here for 5 minutes that's it! Upon looking at the puppies they all look so sick, one puppy had blood in his poop. Another dog obviously was so sick you could see his ribs. Its not the greatest environment for these babies and my little guy seemed pretty scared being there. So couldnt help but adopt him. He is very healthy, but still jumpy around dogs and people he doesnt know. I'm guessing that's because of being in a pet store. My other two pomeranians don't act like this and came from breeder/ craigslist. Jroc (my pure breed pom from pet ranch) came with papers, showing who his breeder was and parents. I found them on face book and going to adopt another baby from them. My son and I went in to see the puppies available. Granted it was 7:45 and the store closes at 8. However there was no need to be so rude! I explained upon asking what were there for that I tried to look online but the website didn't seem to be working. After I said that and we wanted to take a QUICK peek at the puppies cause I did know they were closing soon. The older lady with long black hair, rude AF said I'll give you 5 min. Yet, customers coming after us for dog food only she was kind to. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I came in with my family to check the store out and you can literally smell the pee and poop in the air right when you walk in. The rats, mice and hamsters were in crowded and really poor conditions as well. The puppies in there are dirty, wet and their kennels were full of diarrhea. I highly doubt they seek any medical attention for these poor animals because I saw a puppy with a terrible untreated eye infection and some that were in just overall bad shape. I'm surprised this store is even open. It's a shame that these puppies are living like this every day because they were all so sweet but insanely expensive due to the fact they 100 percent came from puppy mills. Just awful. read more

First of all, we bought a dog here when I was 15 years old, a white mini schnauzer. She had parvo and almost died. They offered to replace her. Like she was an item. Pets are family. They aren't replaceable. So we looked up the breeder on the papers. She was from "Happy Dawg Hollow" in Liberty, MO. It had so many citations for buckets of feces, drinking water full of algae, dogs with untreated, festering wounds! Dead dogs lying around! These are their "USDA" certified breeders. Even worse - they say on their Yelp page that they do adoptions. What?!?! This is SELLING, not adopting. I am LIVID, this must end. They will do nothing but lie to you. read more

10 times better than I expected. 2 of my friends purchased their dogs from here and recommended this place. As soon as I walked in, it did not smell dirty or of urine and/or feces like some places...it was very pleasant. The puppies are in reasonable sized open cages, where you can pick them up and interact with them. They keep dogs with their appropriate sizes, so there's no large dogs stepping on small dogs, etc. The ladies that worked there seemed fairly knowledgeable. All of the puppies come from breeders and if you have any questions they can't answer they will call the breeder for you while you are there. Last December of 2010 I purchased a 10 week old, very handsome mini-schnauzer for about $600. He is the love of my life and I have had zero problems with him, other than the fact I love him too much. They come micro-chipped ( I verified with my vet that mine did have one) and with a full 100% health guarantee. If I had room in my apartment, I would go back this year and get him a friend :) Thank you Pet Ranch! read more
