I had the vip suite w camera n patio... from pool camera I could see my pup out barking 90% of the time... we boarded our pup to give her an away from home experience, but if she could speak she would have said "nope, not happening for me!" I have never really had a problem with New Day until the other day. I love Dr Haas! I think she's great! Let me start by saying that I used to be a veterinary technician. I also have a friend who works at another corporate run veterinary clinic and considering how we are 'old school', we compare notes with how things are done now. I dropped off a fecal sample recently and was shot when I was charged $47... I was told I would be notified if it was positive... Luckily, I just moved just enough money into my account to cover this... I wasn't expecting such a high price. A few days later, I got a poll from New Day. I answered it honestly and said that $47 was extremely too high. Considering that I had to wait a few days to get the results I assumed that this clinic sent off to a lab. When I was a tech, we tried not to let patience leave until we had actually looked at the sample under the microscope. This way, if it was positive, the client wouldn't have to make a separate visit to pick up medicine. I pointed this out. I figured that since it's a poll, it would be reviewed by the appropriate people. I got a text message from an employee apologizing. and saying that if I would like to discuss it further, not to hesitate. I consider it if it was worth it... I wasn't taking it too seriously at this point. I replied back telling her I used to be a tech and told her that I simply thought that $47 was extremely high for a fecal sample. Other places do it for a little over half that price, maybe 2/3 that price and they tell you before you leave. I told her that I was planning on getting a microscope. I had already done my research. A gallon of fecal float costs about $25-30 (If you do it this way. You can also do a direct smear that doesn't need it). To me, this reinforces what I was saying about it being too high. I told her I would probably end up doing my family and friend's animals because many in my area can't afford to go to a vet. (I live in Gray Court so you can see that a separate drive to pick up medicine isn't just a 5-minute drive, which is why I pointed out the part about a separate trip to pick up medicine). On my next break, I read a message that's basically telling me that they're kicking me out. They sent me my medical records. The girl was complaining about being overworked, short on staff (I have heard rumors thru the grape vine that they were struggling with employees). I get it. I sympathize. I've been there. That's the way the world is becoming with the newer generation (No offense to anybody). I'm sorry to be losing Dr Haas. I didn't really want to have to go to another clinic. I already have profiles in other clinics so that's not really going to hurt me. But if they are short-handed and can't handle things, It seems like maybe they're getting too much business. I never really see very many patients in and out, but I have no doubt that many of the animals that are in the daycare were boarding get treatment. It seems like this person is just overwhelmed and maybe the job is too much for her... I really don't want her to lose her job, but I really didn't want to go to another vet, either... I sent my ex-wife (who started bringing our animals there) and some friends the text conversation who think that it was overblown... I was worried that maybe I was too much of a jerk... But all I was doing was validating my reasons. If you can't take criticism, you shouldn't be sending out polls. Perhaps this is a way of weeding out patients so they're not as overwhelmed... I'm really not sure. I really don't know what I said that seemed to spark such hostility, but I was feeling it... I really wish Dr Haas the best of luck. If she ever goes to another clinic in the area, I'll be going to her and a heartbeat if she has no issues. I've sung her praise to many people... Another note... In reviewing the medical files, I found mistakes. They're simple enough and not health effecting, but it kind of makes you wonder... read more

My dog is on a few medications and she obviously did not get them as directed. When we picked her up, first thing she did was urinate a a big puddle of dark bloody urine. This is a sign for her that she did not receive 2 of her medications as she was suppose to. I'm very disappointed because I have boarded my dog at another Pet Paradise and had a wonderful experience. After making an appointment 4 days in advance for a tour to consider boarding, A representative called me in the morning to confirm it. I arrived for the tour at the scheduled time and was advised to come back in an hour. They could NOT do a tour as scheduled at 3 pm; they were preparing to "feed the dogs." Made a new day vet appointment using the pet paradise call center number. Our dog was due for his vaccinations and we wanted to use the convenience of the in-house vet to take care of this during our dog's stay. I Was assured by the representative that our dog could receive his vaccinations during his previously made reservation. Upon dropping off our dog, I was told by the manager, Luke, our dog could/would not be seen by the new day vets as they were on vacation and that they were unaware of our appointment with the vets. Inquiring further, i was told that pet paradise and new day vets do not communicate with one another and calling the pet paradise call center to schedule reservations and appointments wouldn't necessarily be honored. We've called the call center numerous times in the past and have never had an issue. I was told that the company's lack of communication was my problem and needed to make other arrangements for our dog by either taking him to a nearby clinic (which requires appointments) to get his vaccinations to then return him to pet paradise for his reservation or cancel the reservation entirely. Luke told us this type of issue is a known issue by the company however they refuse to do anything to prevent it. We were luckily able to get a walk-in appointment at the nearby clinic however this additional step to our day caused issues for us that we were not anticipating. We wish the in-house vet was able to honor the appointment scheduled by the pet paradise call center. The manager did try to admonish me to call the actual facility to make appointments and reservations however, we're never able to get an answer from anyone on site, hence calling the call center. Otherwise, our dog loves pet paradise. The caretakers treat him very well. Just handle your vet needs elsewhere. read more

we boarded our Golden Retriever Great Pyrenees for 10 days while we were on vacation. When our dog returned home she wasn't herself at all. No wagging tail and very low key for 4 days. When we picked her up we realized she had not been given her medication properly because there were tablets left over and her elbows had all the hair worn off. One elbow was infected and required a visit to our vet for a round of antibiotics. The worst pat was the staff never even noticed or made any notation about this issue. I completed a reservation online, it was showing as pending. Over 48 hours later I get a prompt to pay a deposit, at this point, I had moved on to finding another place to board my dog. When I called, both staff had no idea what was going on, could or would not answer questions and were waiting for me to just accept the issue. The way the handle the situation to have no concern or idea of what is going on makes me feel extremely concerned on how my animal will be treated or the hazards to their well being if left in their care. This was my first time boarding my dog and I was very disappointed. I chose this place partially because of the "furever connected" add on. I was supposed to receive photos of my dog each day (a paid add on) and I didn't. The first day they claimed it was too busy and no one received any, they said I'd get them the next day but didn't. Then when checking out we heard a man say he loved getting his photos of his dog. So it leaves me to wonder why I didn't get any. Was she cowering afraid the whole time? Even if that's the case I'd expect photos when I was paying for that added feature. The whole point was to be reassured while I was gone and it was the opposite effect. This unfortunately is the last time I'm letting my pup go to pet paradise. They are VERY unresponsive almost impossible to get ahold of. During his last stay I saw him getting humped by 3 dogs at once and called support and they said they'd call me back and never did or gave me a solution to keep my pup happy. Then today I took him there for grooming and 6 hours later we haven't heard anything so I stop by and the worker says "oh he's been done for hours,sorry we didn't call" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I'm glad I went out of my way after 4 in answered calls I decided to stop by. DO NOT Go HERE. This is so terrible. if your dog can't have to take medicine, t his is the wrong place. my dog have seizures , his seizures are awful frightening to see. i took my dogs to pet paradise on congaree hoping and praying they would take care of my dog. i put just the right amount of his pills with 3 extra pills just in case they might have dropped one and couldn't find it. i clearly wrote on the pill bag, and also it's on the bottle of pills. 3 pills every 12 hours. when i picked my dog up it was so many pills left in the bottle. when i ask them about it a very young guy said they gave him 1 pill until they discovered my dog suppose to take 3. i believe they are so overwhelmed with animals they overlook the most important thing. his resolution was to give me a refund for 1 day. this is not the place if your dog need special attention. i believe they need to hire older people that take responsibilities serious. read more

I have been coming to this establishment for almost two months for veterinary care. My vet made me a grooming appointment weeks in advance, because she figured after Camilo's vaccinations he would be ready for a cut. When I arrived at my appointment this morning, the front desk associate told me she couldn't take him because I don't have the vet records, which I explained to her he is a patient of their in house veterinary clinic. She said that the vet is out so there would be no way to get this information. I'm not sure if the two don't communicate or despite being in the same building are a separate entity, but this experience has been very weird for me & my dog. Not only can you not get updated vaccination records from online, you don't get them printed out after each vet visit. read more

Picked up our dog and it wasn't our dog. They gave our dog to someone else who took them home. When we tried to tell them it wasn't our dog the manager was combative and tried to convince us this was our dog. Only after telling them to scan the microchip was it confirmed it's not our dog. Only then did they start looking in the facility and making phone calls trying to figure out where our dog was. Turns out they switched their tag at some point over the weekend with another dog. Worst part is they initially told us our 2 dogs couldn't be in the same enclosure anymore because our male dog was too "affectionate" with our female dog. Looks like that's because IT WASNT OUR DOG IN THERE and this other dog was basically left in there to assault our female dog all weekend. Do not recommend this place to anyone. Poor management and systems in place to ensure the animals safety. It's anyone's guess whether our dog received his medicine all weekend or not. read more

Our boy Enzo just had his 3rd visit to this wonderful world of Pet Paradise. His first visits were for boarding. Watching him on the live webcam we could see why he enjoys his stays!! There is always someone in the play area giving the furry babies, both large and small, extra TLC. We had them do his grooming and his nails were NOT sharp/rough but nice and smooth. No more scratching up my legs on the ride home. This is a BIG plus. Enzo knows when he arrives at a Pet Paradise and cannot wait to walk thru the front gate. Mandy and ALL the pet lovers are attentive and truly want to be there for our furry babies which is very comforting! The grounds are well kept and for these reasons we feel VERY comfortable when we have to leave our boy there. read more

Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. My girlfriend picked up her dog from a boarding stay and called me in the car crying. Staff looked like chickens with no heads running around. She said she tried to talk to the manager about some concerns with her dog and he ignored her like he was not concerned with what she was saying. Her dog had feces caked on his butt and smelled like urine. When she picked him up she could feel his ribs and was shaking. He hasn't left his bed at all except to use the bathroom and just runs back. He has been boarded before and never acts like this. We don't know what happened to him during his stay but beware. First time trying out Pet Paradise, This is our first time leaving Ace at a resort while we went on vacation. I must say my experience has not been good at all. I have had to call multiple times regarding what we told would take place and it has NOT. Example: Play time twice a day and his first day there they only took him out once. Day 2 I have had to call back because we have watched the cameras and STILL have not saw them take him out. We also paid extra to have pictures sent to us throughout the day and have received NO pictures at all. Spoke to a manager and a assistant and both said the same thing reassured me they would send pics, take him out and nothing. First and last time taking my fur baby there. read more

We visited a few different doggy day cares to check out the facilities we liked best, and Pet Paradise was by far the nicest and cleanest of them all! They have several different outdoor play areas, including an in-ground dog pool and splash pad. Oh my gosh! This place is amazing. We took our newly adopted baby to Pet Paradise to have a play day and to check out the boarding facilities. She was a little nervous at first, but after about 10 minutes she was a part of the gang! She had water play and lots of fun with her new friends. The staff was awesome too! The last straw was today when I periodically checked the cameras and noticed that my dog was put in a kennel for almost the entire day instead of getting to play with the other dogs during daycare. Both times I paid extra for my dog to have all day play and after watching their webcams the entire morning and afternoon, I noticed that my dog hadn't been out all day. I called and got the runaround and after demanding to speak with a manager she told me that there was a "mix up in the paperwork about him having the all day play". He had been sitting in a kennel the entire day! When I picked him up the manager insisted that that would never happen again (LIE). The next time I boarded him, the EXACT same thing happened. He never got the play time I paid for because of a "mix up in the paperwork." They tried to lie and tell me he had gone out to potty but when I told them I had been watching the cameras for the previous 3 hours and that was not true they changed their statement and said that he hadn't been out because he had just eaten. BEWARE - if you don't watch the cameras all day I can guarantee you dog will not get what you paid for. This place is super SHADY! Been taken my dog here for a couple years now. This facility started out great. Clean, attentive, good staff...but all has changed. I realize that everyone is understaffed but these are our babies! This is a daycare center for fur babies. I love that they have cameras, but I'm finally pissed that during boarding and supposed day camp, my dog is not being let out of her kennel. If it wasn't for having cameras for me to see...she would have been stuck in her kennel all day and I would have been charged. This past weekend I had to call every day to tell them to take her out after not finding her on camera. By Sunday no one answered phone and I had to leave my function to go get her and bring her home and return back to my function. She had to pee and poop twice after getting out of car which is not normal and she was really hungry! 3 girls were standing in front office when I arrived and I didn't even get so much as an apology. Made online reservations for our dog for 1 night at Pet Paradise and everything from making the reservation to the stay was great. Our dog seem to really like the facility. They have a large outdoor play area with a pool. The suites have indoor and outdoor rooms. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable. They also have long opening hours which is very helpful. The place is impressive I must say but my experience was horrible. I scheduled my dog first visit there meet and greet play time. Was excited that my 8 year old border collie mix with very high energy will have some play time but I was very much wrong. We arrived vaccine records were verified they took my dog and that was it. Nobody offered to show me the facility or asked even one question about my dog. Which was little weird but I thought short stuff maybe they will call or talked to me later. I was checking their web cams and my poor dog was dumped into a kennel that he never even saw kennel in his life and was there for 2 straight hours. He would probably be there longer if I wouldn't come back to take him. I came mad spoke to manager. She said that it's their policy to put dogs into kennel I told her nobody told me that nobody even asked me if my dog know how to swim or have health conditions which he does or even basic if he ever bit someone. Which I think those very important questions to ask instead of placing dog in a kennel. So we will not be back there the place is run by not properly trained teenagers including that manager they don't really think what they are doing. So if you not watching the webcam u might think your dog is playing but he might be locked in kennel without water. We won't be back read more
