So the owner wrote back pretty quickly, soon after I inqired. She answered all of my questions. But she first said that the cost was $25 for an hour. Then I asked if I could "split it into 2 -1/2 slots) Then she told me that the "actual time spent with my animal is usually 30-40 minutes". My cat was rescued from a hoarders house, she has PTSD. I can't afford them to come twice at 50.00 per day. I've researched that the going rate is $12-$15 per 30 minute visit with your pet.?? I can't afford that kind of price at $25 for only 30-40 minutes! I decided not to go with them because I found family and friends to pet-sit for us this time. I do need a permanent solution, though. The woman who emailed was kind enough. She told me all about how they have all of these good ratings and such. But I felt deceived because she first said $25 per hour. I would've paid that if THAT was time spent with my pet while I'm away. But then it changed to me paying for "travel time"(when she'd said they had 4 people right nearby my home, in my town). Why do I pay travel time for someone who lives in the same town? I didn't really like that so much. Also, I was not happy that when I wanted to split the "hour" into 2 x 1/2 hours, I was then told I was truly only getting 30 minutes with & for my pet. Plus paying for travel to and from my home. I don't pay travel time for any other services ?? (Plumber, maid service, lawn service etc.) I will keep looking for a more permanent solution.... ***I saw the response from this company. I did not say anything untrue or unkind. I only stated my own interactions & why I did not choose them. * I want to reiterate that I did not use this company because of the reasons stated above. I I've been an elite Yelper for 10 years. I would never say anything which I did not experience first hand. I only wrote my review about my own interactions with this company. I wanted the perspective customers to know how my interactions with thIs company went. I wanted them to know how this company works. I also decided to add one more star because they were kind enough when I inquired. read more

Pet Nanny used to care for my cat for my vacation week. Got to meet sitter beforehand to go over details. Everything went really well. Cat was not stressed when I came home. Was well cared for. She got attention and was fed properly. Sitter sent pictures and even watered my plants. Very satisfied. read more

Before finding Pet Nanny, I used to take my cat Feebie to a boarding service. The last time I left here there, she had severe anxiety issues. When I picked her up, she had actually chewed through her skin and had a gaping, open wound that required surgery to repair. I then used Pet Nanny the next time I went out of town. Janet Connor is wonderful! I had a pet sitter named Morgan that took care of my cat Feebie. The daily reports that Morgan left after I arrived home were so cute, and I was confident that Feebie had a good time while I was gone. I could see that she had all the attention that I would have given her if I was home. Sadly, Feebie passed on a few months ago due to health problems that were untreatable. But, I will always be grateful for the excellent care that Morgan gave Feebie; I would confidently recommend Pet Nanny very highly to anyone! For any animal, cats especially, being in a boarding situation is very stressful. Being in the comfort of their own home is the best situation. Pet Nanny will give pets the best care and you can be confident that your pet will be happy and healthy while you are out of town! Thanks so much, Janet and Morgan! read more

I needed a pet sitter for my two cats, and decided to go with a professional service, since my last experience with my friend's twentysomething daughter ended in a broken window. This was a last-minute getaway, and Jan was able to line up a sitter with just three days notice. Gladys was our sitter, and she came over for a consultation. She was so thorough during the meeting that I felt completely comfortable leaving my cats with her. They both came out to inspect the new person, and they warmed up to Gladys right away. I think cats just know. When we got home, Gladys had left a detailed report on what she did during her visit - feeding the cats, cleaning the litter boxes, and playing with the them. She had cleaned up after herself, washing the utensils she used to get the cat food. Gladys brought in the mail, and would have watered the plants if I had any. I would highly recommend Gladys and the Pet Nanny service. read more

Finding out about Pet Nanny was the best thing that's ever happened to me. I scheduled an interview on super short notice but Emma and Jan were incredibly kind and flexible. I get so nervous when I leave my sweet girl but I seriously didn't have any reservations about leaving Pet Nanny in charge. Emma took such great care of my baby and sent me pictures every day. Not to mention they leave notes about everything they do with your pet while you're away. Their prices are great and they make it super easy for you to pay. They absolutely have your pets best interest in mind. I will never hire anyone other than this service ever again. THEY ARE THE BEST!! read more

Pet Nanny has done a super job for us and our cat, Molly! Katie was Molly's caregiver while we were away. She was excellent, competent and absolutely charming - sent us videos along the way of Molly doing her Molly thing! We are thrilled with Pet Nanny care and attention to detail. I was pretty certain that when we walked in the door today, Molly was slightly upset that it wasn't Katie coming in to play!! With Pet Nanny, your pet(s) and your home are in good hands! read more

I have been a customer of Pet Danny's for almost 10 years. Jenn has been our walked for a long time. She treats my pets like they are part of her family. Very professional and reliable. I locked myself out of the house one day and called Jenn. She came right over to let me in. I'm a loyal customer and have referred others to Pet Nanny. read more

Pet Nanny - My boys. - Dog Walkers Near Me

Trustworthy, reliable and professional. My wife and I have used their services twice and plan to again in the future! We recently had a death in the family and had to go out of town. Not only were they prompt in replying for a request, they were compassionate and flexible to an ambiguous situation and schedule. Highly recommended!!! read more

I thought this was a great concept as opposed to taking my cat to be boarded where it would cause my pet more stress than just leaving her home. I thought it was a bit pricy- $25 for a 30 minute visit, but for the convenience it was worth it to me. Everyone was professional and nice and they could accommodate my requests at short notice. I thought they were great.. until they lost my house key. They never called to tell me and it wasn't until I called to set up an appointment that I was informed. I know mistakes happen but provided my house key was lost who knows where and who knows with who I would have thought informing me should be a priority. I will never use them again because of this. read more

We were so lucky to find Pet Nanny when we did. Before our first scheduled visit, our walker, Lindsey, came to our house to meet our dog and get acclimated with our home. She was very professional and I felt very comfortable with her coming to our house when we weren't there. When we are in a bind, Pet Nanny is there to help us out so we don't have to worry about our dog being left alone for too long. We always get a nice note and, more importantly, peace of mind! I have never had any trouble scheduling with the main office, either -- all emails are returned promptly, and there is even an option to pay via PayPal so I don't have to scrounge together cash to leave at home. Their prices are also incredibly reasonable. I have recommended Pet Nanny to everyone I know that is looking for a pet sitter and will continue to do so. read more

Pet Nanny provides excellent services for my felines, each and every time I've called on them since 2010. Chris has been my cat sitter and has always had excellent rapport with my trio / quartet, so much so that when I return home, the beasts provide the proverbial...."oh, you're back". A sign that they've been well cared for / played with, and my return is barely noticed. I wouldn't have it any other way. read more

We are so happy we found Pet Nanny to watch our wonderfully spoiled cat. In the past, when we have gone on vacation, our cat would get boarded, which for a cat who is not used to being in a cage and is used to lots of individual attention, is not a good situation. We contacted Pet Nanny before our last vacation, and almost immediately scheduled our introductory visit with Jen. Jen worked around our schedule and got familiar with our environment and our cat before we left for our vacation. While we were on vacation, she sent us detailed text updates from every visit so we weren't worried. We got home to a stack of written notes and a very happy cat. I would 100% recommend Pet Nanny and Jen especially to anybody who is worried about their fur-baby. Now we are no longer worried about our cat when we go on vacation. read more

I have never had a bad experience with Jan and Pet Nanny. I love being able to leave my Lab at home, where he's most comfortable. Now that he's older, it's even more beneficial. Use this company. It's worth it! read more

I was very upset when Jan came into my home without my permission at a time I was not scheduled to have a dog walk. I discontinued service and will not use Pet Nanny again. Be careful who you trust with a key to your home! read more

I used Pet Nanny for the first time this past week when I was out of the country. I was a little nervous because I had never left my pet with anyone other than friends. I will never leave my cat with anyone else again. They were extremely professional, easy to use and I know my pet was well cared for. When I spoke with the owner initially I could tell that she was passionate and loved pets and her business. Stacy was my sitter and she sent me a picture of my pet while I was gone and left the most detailed notes. She described my pets behavior so well it was obvious she had spent plenty of of time with him and I felt like I was right there with them. This is a wonderful service and I am so glad I have found them. I won't ever had to worry about my pet when I am out of town again! read more

oh my goodness they ended NOT being in my area and were so HELPFUL and AMAZING ... I say call them!!! they are so great!!! what a wonderful company!!! read more

My husband and I are newly relocated to the area, and the parents of two rascally (but unbelievably adorable) kittens. We require care for the cats for when we vacation and when we make trips home to Canada to visit family, but without any personal connections in our new community (no friends or neighbors we felt comfortable to ask for help), we ended up searching online for a company who could provide that service. While it seemed an impersonal way to secure care, we couldn't be happier with the Pet Nanny. Our Pet Nanny, Molly, is wonderful with our babies, and we no longer worry when we need to be away from home. The text updates, photos, and amazing daily notes are such a blessing, and something we look forward to when the cats are in Molly's care. Arranging care is simple and easy (one quick text and we generally receive an email confirmation within minutes), their online payment system is a breeze, and confirmations of care arrangements and payment are always received by email within minutes of submission. We LOVE that their services are available 24/7, and that they remain on call until they receive notice that we have returned home safely. Not once has Molly been phased by cat vomit or the other less pleasant aspects of the job, nor has she made us feel badly for their kitten antics (and Lord knows they have likely put her through their paces more than once LOL). We are wholly and thoroughly pleased with the Pet Nanny, and consider them one of our "best finds" since moving to Michigan. read more

We have used this service for many years. Our cat was at the end of her life when a pre-paid family vacation came up. Jan's staff went above and beyond to give tender loving care to our cat while we were gone & kept us informed of how she was doing. The service is very reliable and staff are kind and compassionate. read more

We have had Gladys care for our dog on many occasions, up to as long as a week. She is a dog owner herself, and not only takes excellent care of our dog (who has special eye drops multiple times a day) but will text you with updates and leave you a very detailed note of each visit. She's a gem!!! read more

I have used Pet Nanny in Livonia for over 5 years. It is the best service I have ever had. The sitter plays with the dogs and leaves me notes on what they did while I was gone. Recently I had several more dogs and the sitter did a great job. They are dependable and honest. Two years ago I had to leave for a family emergency. I contacted them in the morning I had to leave and within an hour we had everything set up so I could go to take care of my Mom. I would never use anyone else. Once you are a customer you can set up your next appointment via email and get a confirmation so you can move on to your next 'to do' for your trip. I love Jan's service and I love the sitter who always does a great job for me. read more

I am just thrilled with Pet Nanny! They take wonderful care of my little kids (2 cats) and I love that my cats can stay at home where they are most comfortable. Jan is always quick in response to my requests for service and service has always been available anytime I have needed it. The service is very reliable and I completely trust them in my home and with my pets. I have had the same pet sitter each time (David) and he has gotten to know the cats very well. He plays with them while I am away and leaves me cute little notes about what fun the cats had while I was gone. You can tell that he really cares about the animals he takes care of. I am even able to check in via phone or text message to find out how things are going while I am away. And, I like that Pet Nanny has me check in with them (via text message) when I get home so that they know for sure that the animals are back in the care of their owner. I highly recommend this service to anyone looking for a great pet sitter! read more
