After purchasing she left, as she did the owner checked something for her dog and realized the wrong food was purchased and she ran out to stop her and replace with the correct food for her dogs needs. It was incredible to see - a store full of customers and she took the time to check (cause she knows her clients and their dogs needs that well) and she corrected it. Tell me if your local Petco or petsmart does that, I bet they don't even know who you are or care. This place cares and it's wonderful!

I am so lucky to have stumbled upon this hidden gem one Tuesday afternoon. The gentleman helping me had a plethora of knowledge on canine behavior and was able to help me train my dog to stop barking as well as find new treats that he loved. Since no one here has the experience or interest in doing so, I contacted a few local businesses that advertised installation and maintenance of tanks. I was given Donnie Hook's number, who is apparently the owner. We chatted a bit on the phone about what I was looking for and he offered to stop by to look at the space. He stopped by around 1:30pm and I showed him the area we were looking to put the tank, we talked budget, freshwater vs saltwater, various decor options, etc. All seemed well and he asked for my number in order to "send me photos of what's available" and asked that I text him my email address so that he could put together some estimates and proposals. I did so and thought nothing of it. Shortly thereafter he started sending me text messages asking if I would leave work and meet him for a drink. At 1:30pm. I politely declined. After a week without any emails from him, I sent him a text saying that I still hoped to see some estimates from him. He responded with "Hey ,sorry. I will send today". I still have not received anything. It has now been 3 weeks. I was really hoping that since this place is local and he made it seem like he could definitely do what we were looking for, it would be a great fit to do business. Apparently finding a date is more important to him. Looks like Beitals will be getting our business; much more professional.

I wanted to find freeze dried supplemental food for our dog since she's on prescription food for crystals. We had told the store front this and he said vets don't know anything about pet nutrition and it's going to make her condition worse. Then proceeded to ask if we'd like to stay on dry food. I said yes, since it's easier. Then the judgment started. "Who are you thinking about?" He went on to make assumptions about what we feed her aside from her dog food - such as pizza crusts. We said a weekly egg, fruits and vegetables. We really should have just left but still asked for a recommendation. He recommended a duck based dry food and said there's other options of the brand such as beef, chicken, and salmon. I requested the salmon variation and he responded that "dogs are carnivores and need to eat meat" - as if fish isn't meat? My husband said we give her chicken, with the last time being the night before. To which he responded, "What kind of chicken?". Then proceeded to tell us that dogs can be sensitive to chicken. The entire time, it just felt like we were being tested and had to justify not being bad owners. Nothing we do is right. As if we didn't rescue our dog and are trying our best? Would these kinds of places rather we had not adopted her at all? Honestly, as an average pet owner, I would not come back.
