When I met Susan I felt completely comfortable with her and I can tell she really loved animals.

I never used Splash & Dash…read more What brought me to use Splash & Dash was a bias, polluted, story by Channel 12 Shari Einhorn. A journalist that lives in St. James. Took it upon herself to broadcast a narrative that a dog died in Splash & Dash care. Reading the story I was open minded and thought out the story attacking the owner Susan. Shari Einhorn recollection when I did my research proved to be one sided. It was sensational news. A dog dies. The obnoxious reporter is told to leave and alleged she was "kicked out" and the owner Susan was not cooperating. I watched post after post attack the owner on Shari Einhorn Facebook page. In my critical thinking I posted to everyone including Sheri Einhorn and her fellow colleague trying to defend her. It was transparent a dog did die, Susan brought the dog to the Vet, the dog was doa (dead on arrival) and the owner a young boy was devastated. Sheri Einhorn tried to paint a narrative that Splash & Dash was not cooperating but that was further from the truth. I asked myself why did the journalist write a story before a necropsy was done? The story interested me as I'am the founder and president of "The Smithtown Neighborhood Watch". A program under Suffolk County Police, Smithtown Public Safety, 12 District Legislator Leslie Kennedy with captains homeowners of each block within their hamlet. With signage you are entering a Neighborhood Watch Hamlet in Smithtown. Hence, the story peeked my interest for my Smithtown Community. SPCA did a investigation and I understood that the case was closed. The necropsy I understood was heart failure due to the dogs obesity. Sadly, the narrative that Channel 12 journalist Shari Einhorn was inciting a attack, not fair reporting, and almost damaged a St. James business recovering in a pandemic. Fortunately, I stepped in to investigate without bias and spoke by Facebook messenger to reporter Shari Einhorn. Ms. Einhorn became abrupt when I reported I understood SPCA closed the case. Ms. Einhorn I informed I spoke to a Brian at channel 12 and a updated story would be only fair to both the dog owner and the dog groomer. Ms. Einhorn shot back I text to the SPCA Chief everyday. I informed Ms. Einhorn the investigation I understood is closed and she will need to wait for the SPCA investigator to do his report. Abruptly, I received a private message asking me what my association is with Splash & Dash. My answer I have is truthful. I'am a reader of the story. Today, to finish my investigation. I brought two of my eight English Cream Golden Retrievers in to be groomed. I made the appointment under a pen name. I was greeted with Valet service. My two dogs, one male ,one female were taken from their Kia Soul doggie car. My appointment was noon and I receive a text, "Your babies is done being pampered and is ready for pick up. Thank you for being part of the Splash and Dash family, see you soon!" I arrived and picked up my dogs, paying my bill, very happy with the staff, made appointments for my other six dogs. Walking in with two healthy dogs and picking up my two healthy dogs striking their Doggie Vogue coiffeur model pose all wash, groom, mani, & pedi. My experience with Splash & Dash was outstanding. I read channel 12 Shari Einhorn stories. Unfortunately, there was a underlying story and in my opinion. Shari Einhorn tried to be the judge and jury. This time Shari Einhorn failed her readers. Which she misjudged the Smithtown community to investigate and created panic and fear to potential and current customers. 5 STARS for SPLASH & DASH -1 STAR for Channel 12 Shari Einhorn JE Donegan The official Smithtown Neighborhood Watch Founder & President

I asked every question under the sun at my dog's evaluation, and every answer was the one I was looking for. Additionally, my dog is not an 'easy' dog, he can be standoffish with strangers, but every staff member knew how to approach him without my having to comment, and he settled in really well. I appreciate especially their honesty when I asked if Arlo played with any other dogs - instead of lying to me and saying "of course!" without thinking, they explained to me that he needs to get used to a new environment and that "the play will come." That answer was stellar, and I feel comfortable knowing that staff will give me uncomfortable truths when they are needed rather than sugar coating their answers for a sale. I know my dog well, and their description of his behavior today was on point, I know for a fact that staff was watching him carefully and that makes me happy. I am glad to have a place to bring him now that I no longer work in the industry, it's a huge weight off of my shoulders. As to the reviews stating that the place smells - I have twice walked in during what seemed like rush hour and smelled nothing other than typical 'dog' smell, so I'm not sure what all that is about.
