I have brought my pup here a few times since finding out that it is less than 5 minutes from my house. Prior to that, I had been taking my pup to PetSmart for everything. I had been looking around for a locally owned pet daycare for my dog to go to for some time, because the rooms at PetSmart are incredibly small for the 20 or so dogs that play in them, and they do not get to go outside at PetSmart. I went and toured several local daycares in the area, including the well-known ones, but none seemed like quite the perfect fit, especially in terms of finances because most were very expensive, not located as close to me, or some other downside.
I recently left my pup here for 3 nights and days around and including Thanksgiving, and also took her to daycare there a time or two since then. (Note: the overnight rate includes day care playing during the day, which is awesome and makes their prices for extended stays even better than the big guys like PetSmart, who charge overnight care and day playing rates separately.) For just daycare rates without an overnight stay, this place is slightly more expensive, but definitely worth it. I have not been disappointed with the services they've provided thus far. I have not done grooming here (yet) and may do so in the future, depending upon price.
The pups here seem to play for a good portion of the day, which is great for tiring them out so they can sleep at night. My dog wears a fitness tracker, which they allow her to keep on during her time here. To me, that is very helpful for seeing how much physical activity she's gotten in a day and how much more physical activity she needs when she gets home. Usually, she does not need much more physical activity after a day of playing here! She very much seems to enjoy her time here. Also, they post pics of the pups playing on their Facebook page quite frequently, which is so good to see.
One day during daycare here, it showed that she was active from about 6 am to about 6 pm, playing on and off for almost 12 hours... in that time, she had her most active day yet, at about 5 hours of play (see the photos)! On days where she is just home and goes for walks, I have never walked her for that long. (Our average is 1.5 - 2 hours daily.) (I can't specifically compare the daily active time to her active time at PetSmart day camp because they do not allow dogs to wear any collars or other items when in the play room at PetSmart, so I have never known how much she plays there... but, given the fact that the play space here seems much larger, I can bet she enjoys the extra space.)
I will continue to come here and will recommend this place to others. The staff is also incredibly friendly, and pride themselves on good customer service. They certainly know how to run a business successfully. The ONLY bad thing I have to say as of right now is that it is located on an extremely busy road. If you come in on the right side of the road like I do and leave to the left, you may be inundated by the incredible amount of extremely fast-moving traffic you have to get through across the 5 lanes, with two each going in different directions and a center turning lane. read more
