I tried Puppy scrub when I was living in the area in 2018 and Sylvia did a fantastic job. I have a 115 lb newfypoo, he's a lot of dog and I've been told by some groomers that he's difficult because of the way his hair grows. Sylvia spent so much time with him and he was perfect! I moved an hour away and have tried several new groomers in NJ, but am now traveling the hour to Sylvia. She is so attentive and kind, never has hurt him (he's had gashes on his leg, ear sores from the his ear hair being ripped out, pads of his paws shaved off from other groomers), but Sylvia is gentle and so meticulous in her care. And my Oliver is a very happy boy both on arrival and after he's all spiffied up to go home. Oh, and she's the most reasonably priced I've found anywhere! I highly recommend Puppy Scrub! read more

Although this review is later that I would have preferred, I find my feedback can save any owner from the trams this groomer caused my dog. I just moved to Newtown and Collie was in need of being groomed. This was the only groomer I could find and actually recommended. The only issue with that is my dog is not a golden doodle, Which seems to be the only breed she knows how to groom. I asked several times if she knew how to groom a collie, and she consistently said absolutely yes. My dog was dropped off on a Sunday and after the review of his coat, I left him there for five hours. She called me, upset, and said that she had no choice but to shave out his mats. When I went to pick him up he couldn't walk and could barely stand. His coat was so gouged with holes in his coat, all the way through his secondary coat, that I truly believe that he was traumatized as was I when I came to see him. Even though she was crying crocodile tears, I didn't believe her. I just wanted to get my dog home and comfortable. It took at least two days for him to be able to walk but his coat was forever changed. To this day, it is still not grown back properly even after other groomers have tried and attempts to fix him. The owner, this woman, should lose her license and her shop should close immediately. I am forewarning anybody who is reading this review to make sure if you do not have a golden doodle, that you do not, I repeat DO NOT use this Groomer! She will tell you whatever you want to hear, and then make you pay dearly for it. She never called to ask how my dog was, and that again is a sign of a poor quality business person, let alone a human being. read more

I brought my elderly golden retriever in yesterday for a do-it-yourself bath and nail trim. The machine is great, especially if you have a dog with mobility problems. Open the door, help him up (just about one foot off the floor), close the door and then operate the machine. Soap and water come out in one stream, for quick and thorough cleaning of your pup. Then you hit "rinse", then another button when you're ready to dry your doggie. Sylvia is great, offering me plenty of towels to begin the drying process. I let my dog out of the tub and onto the floor so I could dry him, then Sylvia came in and actually sat down on the floor to do him so he could lie there comfortably as she carefully snipped his nails. She was so caring and gentle, it was great and I'll be back again. read more

Stay away! I had an appointment for my dog at 9:30 am, which according to Sylvia the appointment was at 9:00 am. When Sylvia came out to get my dog not only was she miserable she yelled at me Saying this is the last time she'll do my dog and "we are always late" which isn't true because it's our second time going to her lol. She then proceed to open my car door and grab my dog out of the car. My dog is wonderful with people but as soon as Sylvia got hold of her she was trying to get into the back of the car. She never does that. Sylvia goes onto pulling at her to get her out of the car. I didn't think much of it so I drove away. After getting about 3 minutes away I didn't have good feelings about Sylvia so I went to pick my dog up. While walking in I heard my dog barking and Sylvia YELLING at her. This is the last time we will go to the place!! Save your money! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! read more

Can't say enough about the 1st class service I received at Puppy Scrub Appointment - quick and painless Drop off / 5min max / pull right up to the door Service - stellar, treated my dog (Jack) so wonderfully - dog was calm and really seemed to at ease (Puppy Scrub doesn't not cage your pet while there!!!!!) We have had Zeus our dog to the shop at least ten times; he was banned from Petco for trying to bite two groomers. Sylvie is so enthusiastic that she won him over from the minute he arrived. He gets a great cut every time he goes there. She runs a tight ship so be on time, because she is and cash is king there! read more

I have been bringing my 3 dogs here for almost 3 years. Sylvia and Gina take exceptional care of each dog, taking into account their different personalities and needs. They are diligent in keeping the center very clean and dogs are well cared for. I take my opinion very seriously and don't often give a bad review but my mom took her little pooch Bella to this place and the owner yelled at her because Bella did not behave. She mortified mom in front of others in the shop. I wanted to go back and confront this rude woman, but mom tells me she was so mortified it happened months ago and was embarrassed to tell me. The worst and most disgusting groomer and to boot she's incredibly rude with a foul mouth. She puts on a facade of uber friendly and sweet, that's until anything is said about her work. My dog was left with in the care of Sylvia for grooming -: the haircut was not what we has asked for and when we had complained she unleashed on us. We have an old dog who has trouble with her legs. I called Puppy Scrub to inquire about their facilities to be sure that we could just "walk in" to give her a bath. When asking the question, the person on the phone was not speaking clearly and I politely asked her to please repeat herself. Her response was rude and impatient, responding and I quote "if you're asking about self serve dog wash, I already told you four times"! I promptly hung up the phone. I will never use a facility where someone cannot the time to speak professionally and patiently with a customer. I will tell everyone I know about this experience. After going to three other groomers in last 5 years, Sylvia is truly a dogs best friend. Immediate bonding made Millie's experience like a "SPA DAY" & she looked this best ever.
