The woman who runs this business, Kathy is a liar. She's been grooming my dogs now for about a year…read moreand a half. The other day I took all three of my Cavaliers to her and she refused to groom my senior Cavalier. Of course she only spoke to my husband because she knows that she would get a crap load of questions from me. The last two times I took my dogs there and got them have my notice that the insides of their ears had not been trimmed and the ears were not cleaned then I noticed that they were not bathed. If you smell the bottom of your dog's paws and they smell like Fritos, that means your dogs paws did not get any clean water on them. So the last two times that I took my dogs there my husband said you DO shampoo the dogs correct and she said yes and again we got them back and they were not shampood. I would absolutely not recommend this groomer to anybody and right now I'm so angry that I'm thinking about calling the Better Business Bureau. I also noticed that her Facebook account is not active. Maybe that was because I left a horrible review. I am not even kidding when I tell you do not take your dog there.

Barks County gets five stars for sure! Both of my dogs were groomed here for the 1st time today and…read moreI couldn't be more pleased. Kathy offers a frequent groomer card, four visits gets your pup a free spa treatment such as teeth brushing. She was pleasant to deal with and I liked the home atmosphere of her business. I would recommend Barks County Dogs to anyone :)

Mark and his team truly moved mountains with our three year old lab during his stay. The progress he has made exceeded our expectations. Mark takes his work very seriously and is genuinely committed to helping both dogs and their owners succeed. We are extremely grateful for all of their hard work, dedication, and support! Highly recommend Mark and his team! Money well spent! :)

UPDATE: This place is horrible and should have been shut down years ago. After our ordeal, I…read morereported them to the dog warden who based on our photos, timeline, and our dog's vet record said it warranted an investigation. She reported that when they went there for an unannounced investigation, everything was to code so at that point, there wasn't much more we could do. I'm just glad that they took it serious enough to look into. As I had mentioned in my original post, which you can read below, the owners will try to twist things and put the blame back on the dog's owners. From my post on Nextdoor (if you live in Buck County, you can look up my name on Nextdoor to see the post from 2 years ago and read through the many responses of people sharing their shocking experiences with Holiday House), I have since learned that lack of care - to say the least - is not atypical. People posted about wrong dogs being returned, dogs coming back traumatized, dogs being returned extremely ill, and even one poster sharing that their dog died in while being boarded there. If you care for your pet, do not use this place. It's been a couple of years since our horrible experience boarding our dog there, and to this day, we are all still scarred by it and the memory of what our dog looked like when we picked her up, the thousands of dollars we spent to get her heatlhy, and her health issues she suffered from because of their lack of care for her basic well being. Also, our credit card company even reimbursed us for the fees we paid to Holiday House - again based on photos, timeline and medical records from out vet. They agreed that Holiday House did not provide the care they promised us.
