Having been a neighbor and loyal customer for years, MJ was unwilling and reluctant to work with me and my husband in regards to adjusting the price for a non-full day of overnight care. I have been a loyal customer and neighbor (at one point), for years and have enlisted her services many times because of her good rapport with my dog.
I'm extremely disappointed at the lack of professionalism on her part, not to mention that she treated us like we weren't valuable customers at all, instead inconveniencing and "offending" her when asking about her services. She says she doesn't service our area by coming to pet-sit, and instead offered to provide overnight care to my dog, where I would DRIVE TO HER PLACE to drop her off.
When asked about coming to pet-sit at my home, she stated she couldn't come to my residence, although her website clearly states that she goes to this area, and has REVIEWS FROM PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN THE HEIGHTS 77007 ZONE on the front page of her website.
I would also like to clarify that as a paying customer, this isn't how you treat your long-time clients and if you do not offer overnight care, you should CLEARLY STATE that on your website instead of trying to guilt-trip people about how you've been put out.
This was not a neighborly 'favor', but a business-transaction because you were ENLISTED AND PAID FOR THE SERVICES THAT YOU ADVERTISED AND OFFERED.
I'm extremely mortified by your rude, unprofessional attitude and the fact that you called me a second time to harass, argue and finally drop our agreement at the very last minute, putting me and my husband in a bind out of spite. This is not only poor business-practice, but an actual indication of an immature and nasty individual who doesn't want to be bothered, but still wants to get paid.
You just lost a customer for life, and you can bet that I won't be referring your business to those in need of compassionate pet-care in the future.
