Everything is homemade (which I love). I didn't care for what I had because I'm not big on Italian sausage. But that was my fault and I listened to everyone else. Napoleon had too much whipped cream and not enough Bavarian cream in it, was still good tho. Side salad has black olives onions cheese tomatoes pepperoni on it. Service was ok seemed a bit steady and everyone came and left except us. Place is small. They clean up quickly. Front door is actually employee door, customers have to use side door. I would come again and try something that I wanted.

Me and my girlfriend stumbled upon this place when we were out and about in Flint it's a very homestyle cooking feel very small restaurant, but it packs a punch with the flavor. The food is absolutely amazing. The pizza, the lasagna, the mostaccioli, the tiramisu desserts. We love our time at pestos and if you're in the Flint area, you should definitely check them out

Large oven baked pizza w/cheese, pepperoni, hamburger, green olives, green pepper, & onion

Very polite staff! I was placed on hold when calling to order pizza but only for a few seconds. After placing my order it was repeated back to me with the total price (there is a small surcharge if paying with a card). My order was ready at the time they provided and again the staff was very polite:). It's a smaller restaurant, if dining in choose non-peak hours. The pizza was excellent!! I loved their sauce, it has a tiny garlic kick to it! Also, 1 pizza (bc of allergies) couldn't have cheese on it, and the sauce made up for the missing cheese lol. Very impressed and we will definitely be ordering again! Highly recommend!!!!

Beef Stroganoff

Cute place and the food was awesome, good service too. Had the Stromboli and Beef Stroganoff....both were excellent, sirloin was VERY tender! When we are in the area we would definitely come back!

Excellent service and delicious food at Sauce tonight. Happy hour drinks were inexpensive and…read morenicely done. Mushroom ravioli was excellent as was the pasta with Wagyu meatballs. Generous servings of both main entrees and dinner salads. Delicious pudding chocolate cake with gelato for dessert. Our waitress was attentive and pleasant. What an excellent place for dinner in downtown Flint!

Service was slow even though they weren't even half full. We ordered a bruschetta, which the waitress can't pronounce, that was essentially a roll from Walmart, left out to go stale, and then topped with too much tomato, some cheese and a vinaigrette. 5 pieces for $12. My mushroom ravioli had like 5-6 pieces and was obviously microwaved because the Sauce, THE SAUCE, had a layer of film. That's clearly the work of Chef Mic. We ordered a salad that was bland AF. It was such a nothing I ended up giving my last piece of ravioli to my wife so she could eat something. At the end we asked for a box because we can make the salad better at home but the server was nice enough to take out silverware before bringing us a box so all we could do is tip the plate into the box. When we got the check the establishment forced a 17% gratuity bringing our bill to $70 with no alcohol. I left no tip and we ended up going to McDonalds directly after just so we could feel fed. Awful awful place thats pretending to be fancy and high class. Will never return and will tell all my friends and family to save their money and go literally anywhere else. Churchills is just next door and is 10 times better. Whoever runs The Sauce should honestly be ashamed of themselves and find a new line of work because this isn't for them.

We now live in Portage two hours away from Flint but still look forward to our favorite pizza. Today it looked like Ruggero's has succumbed to "shrinkflation" as the large pizza is now the size of a medium pizza, still get twelve pieces, for the price of a large. This taste is also a little off and seems like less cheese. We decided that we will try it one more time and pick one up the next time I am in Flint and if the quality and size remain the same Ruggero's may be losing a long time customer and friend.

The vibe is super cozy, with different seating areas, booths and tables tucked around several fireplaces, plus a bar area. They bring out complimentary garlic bread when you sit down, crispy on the outside, soft and chewy inside, and absolutely delicious. We each got the $16 personal pizza deal with a side salad and drink. The pizza is thin, wood fired, crispy, and flavorful, cut into six slices, about the size of a small at most other places. Definitely a great value. The salad had fresh cucumbers and tomatoes, we added cheese, and the ranch tasted homemade. We also ordered the homemade asiago cheese sticks, which were fantastic. Super crispy outside, creamy and cheesy inside with that sharp asiago flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive, refilling drinks without us having to ask and offering the dessert menu. I ordered the peanut butter cream pie and the chocolate mousse pie. Both were excellent. Our total was around $70 for two people, but I definitely added some extras. We arrived just in time to be seated right away, and by the time we left the parking lot was filling up fast. They're clearly popular. They also offer Monday through Thursday specials, so it's worth checking those out. There's plenty of parking near the surrounding stores and restaurants. It's a few miles from the main I-75 exit, but absolutely worth the drive.

The inexplicably named Samoritos (fried pizza dough pieces) are delicious! (I'd pay double to have those suckers tossed in FRESH chopped garlic and parsley and a little butter or olive oil). The marinara sauce is very nice. The staff are nice enough. Now for everything else. First thing one will notice is that the owners need to invest in their building. It is very late 70s mobile home vibes. It is grungy. It does not smell good. Age and grime coats the walls, fixtures, furnishings, and carpet. Nothing is updated or even just in good condition. The wait can be unbelievably long - not because there are no tables available, but because they run out of clean dishes. And while you wait forever, you are uncomfortably sitting in a strange, dark little room on a cheap outdoor bench, or you are standing right in the middle of the entry/exit point. The salad (like everywhere across the Midwest) is plain old iceberg lettuce with a scattering of cucumber slices, cherry tomatoes, and canned black olives and a bunch of shredded cheese if you don't ask them for no cheese. The dressings are not very inspiring. Or tasty. The food is of the hit or miss variety, I guess. The first time I played it safe with a simple spaghetti and marinara. The pasta was adequately cooked and in a large portion. The marinara, again, was very tasty. Others in my party had similar comments about their choices. The second time I went I decided to try the portobello ravioli. That was not a good choice. I ate 1/2 of 1 ravioli and took the rest to see if my garbage disposal of a husband (he will eat almost anything without complaint) would eat it. He stuffed a whole ravioli in his mouth and that was the end of that. The rest fed the bin. First, it was absolutely drowned in an Alfredo sauce that did not seem to be a fresh, housemade product (which it should always be because it is not difficult at all and would be a huge upgrade). The pasta was slightly undercooked, and the filling was more ricotta than mushroom. For a mushroom lover ordering mushroom ravioli...my expectations were high. Anyway. I'll go try the pizza. Hope it's good. Other reviews mention this place isn't worth takeout, which is why I returned to dine in at all.

I never did a review for this place? Really?…read more Today was my second time eating at Da Edoardo, for my Aunt Millie's birthday. It's very unlikely that she'll read this unless I happen to show the review to her on my phone...but when that happens, Happy Birthday Auntie! We had a party of 15 people. For appetizers, we had: Jumbo Grilled Shrimp: God-tier. Rosemary Fries: Crispy and flavorful, and the rosemary gives it a nice touch that you won't find in other fries. Lemoncello Chicken Wings: One of maybe two wings in the world that can give Redwood's wings a run for their money. If only they weren't so small. On the plus side, the name makes you picture a giant lemon being made into a cello. Calamari: tasty, but the sauce renders the batter quite spongy. I'm no stranger to the batter for squid being softer than actual air, but I'm really hoping to someday find some with crispy batter. I promised myself I wouldn't fill up on appetizers. Like every other lie I tell myself to keep the demons at bay, it didn't last. So long story short, the appetizers were good. Still, I did have some room for my entree, a Potato Crusted Halibut with mash and green beans. The green beans had a delicious seasoning to them. The mashed potatoes were okay, although I can't say that they're better than Redwood's white cheddar mash. It's good but it's just kinda there... The potato crusted halibut was also very good. Even after all the seafood I've eaten, I still largely classify fish as "salmon" and "everything that's not salmon," but the halibut was still quite delicious. So far, I can say I prefer it over red snapper, cod, and most definitely swordfish. Not a huge fan of swordfish, except maybe as an improvised weapon like in the cartoons. Conclusion: I want that pizza next tho.
