Great experience, thank you!!…read more I was tasked with clearing out my grandparents' hole which held 90 years of stuff; worse still, I was in Colorado and the home is in Ottawa, IL. Rob and his team saved the day! Without ever meeting me in person, they worked diligently (and carefully) to remove almost every sellable item from that home! Thousands of items! Upon my return from vacation I had only 2 days' work to clear out the remaining bits and bobs, clean the house, and turn it over to the new owners. A job that could have taken me weeks to finish, ended up taking 2 days. A HUGE THANK YOU to Rob and his team!

Once I gave him the green light he pulled two suits off the rack and explained things about the styles I still do not fully understand. While visiting the charming little city of Ottawa, Illinois, my wife and I stopped into a…read morenondescript shop in the main downtown area. Little did we know we'd just stepped into the fashion capitol of Ottawa, LaynaBella's. Immediately we were greeted by the manager and asked if we needed any help. I told her we were just browsing but that we would let her know if we needed help...and like a great customer service rep, she gave us the time to take in all the trendy and stylish clothes this place has to offer. The selection of women's clothes, jewelry and accessories is pretty diverse and there seemed to be a little bit of everything for everyone, however this place did focus on trendy, stylish and amazing clothes that rival the styles of bigger chain stores such as Bebe, American Eagle, Arden B and others. Beautiful and sexy heels, dresses, shirts and shorts all around in this seasons best colors and patterns. My wife found beautiful color necklaces and shoes...at REALLY good prices. Everything seemed to be of good quality and at a decent price. No inflated pricing here. What I didn't expect to find, but was glad I did, was a men's section with stylish t-shirts, button up shirts, shorts. I ended up purchasing a great graphic print t-shirt and easily found my size with no problem. The men's selection was actually pretty impressive considering this is a town of only 18K people. I have trouble finding stylish clothes in Dallas that aren't meant for 12 yr old boys...this place carried up to 3X shirts for men and sizes XS to XL for women. Checking out was just as impressive. The store uses the Square register app for iPad. A quick swipe of my card, and my receipt was emailed to me within seconds and I was out of the store with my purchase. Visa, Mastercard, Discover and Amex and of course cash taken here. In talking with the manager, I discovered the store was completely decorated and furnished by the owner Beth Hoffert who, according to her works all the time to keep the store looking trendy, stylish and just plain cool. This store is definitely the center of the fashion world in Ottawa, Illinois and is more of the type of store you'd find in downtown Chicago, Dallas or another major city. If you're in the area and are a fashionista or are just looking for a good deal, this place is a must see!

She finally brought me in there last fall on our way out to Starved Rock, and had I not needed to save money for Xmas gifts, I would've likely gone crazy... Plan on giving this store at LEAST an hour. There are 2 levels, and it's not that the place is that large...there's just that much crammed in here. The first floor holds clothing, outerwear, jewelry, accessories (shoes, gloves, bags), housewares, furniture, collectibles, etc. (The owner has, by far, the LARGEST selection of vintage hats I have ever seen and they are in impeccable condition...) My coolest find that day: Huge wooden yarn spools (easily half the price of what you'd pay on the internet or anywhere in Chicago.) Speaking of $$, her prices are reasonable, and she's very willing to make deals. And for the GUYS: the entire basement of the store is full of old tools, printers' drawers, trunks, signs, even a lobster trap! If Anthropologie discovers this place, I'm screwed...but that's great for Country At Heart!!

He and his family have definitely made Marseilles their home and are very active in all-things Marseilles. He is an unofficial city historian, too, and enjoys talking about "the good ol' days." It is and a good dusting would do. He has so many goodies that it will take you a while to look through it all. If you do not see something you want, just ask as he has rooms full of goodies else where. Prices of some items seem a bit high but he tries to work with you. Each time I have purchased an item I have been satisfied with the price, of course. I really enjoy the store, which is protected by Tabatha the kitty.
