After receiving the rocker recliner I realized it did not rock or recline. After speaking to the sales woman who didn't seem to believe the recliner had came broken a service tech came out to inspect it. Almost 2 months later and several phone calls to be told it's Turks policy to replace the part not the whole chair as the service tech said he was going to recommend. She finally brought me in there last fall on our way out to Starved Rock, and had I not needed to save money for Xmas gifts, I would've likely gone crazy... Plan on giving this store at LEAST an hour. There are 2 levels, and it's not that the place is that large...there's just that much crammed in here. The first floor holds clothing, outerwear, jewelry, accessories (shoes, gloves, bags), housewares, furniture, collectibles, etc. (The owner has, by far, the LARGEST selection of vintage hats I have ever seen and they are in impeccable condition...) My coolest find that day: Huge wooden yarn spools (easily half the price of what you'd pay on the internet or anywhere in Chicago.) Speaking of $$, her prices are reasonable, and she's very willing to make deals. And for the GUYS: the entire basement of the store is full of old tools, printers' drawers, trunks, signs, even a lobster trap! If Anthropologie discovers this place, I'm screwed...but that's great for Country At Heart!!

He and his family have definitely made Marseilles their home and are very active in all-things Marseilles. He is an unofficial city historian, too, and enjoys talking about "the good ol' days." He is friendly, personable, knowledgable, and seems to be an all-round good egg. His store is large and has numerous and varying items. He freely admitted it was "a bit dusty," when I visited. It is and a good dusting would do. He has so many goodies that it will take you a while to look through it all. If you do not see something you want, just ask as he has rooms full of goodies else where. Prices of some items seem a bit high but he tries to work with you. Each time I have purchased an item I have been satisfied with the price, of course. I really enjoy the store, which is protected by Tabatha the kitty. There is so much to see and Tabatha just might escort you through the shop. Definitely stop in. It is worth it.

They were not friendly by any means and we're just worried about making a sale. I think they just jacked up the price because they knew I wanted one. We did not get an end table. As much as I love the Amish, I will not go back to this store. I have bought items from Bullock Auction for several years, bidding online and either having items…read moreshipped or picking up. The first time I won an auction with them, I received the item described. Had I looked closer, I…read morewould have noticed the coin I received was the same year and type, but not the exact one in the listing. It was a real coin and worth what I paid. That was my first real online auction experience, so I didn't know what to expect. The second time, I was bidding on a rare Morgan dollar. Every time I placed a bid, the same person bid it up shortly after, and we went back and forth right up to the coin's real value, then the other guy stopped. I won the auction, and then was hit with the 20% upcharge and higher shipping than before. I sucked it up and paid for it. That item was still processing when I bid on and bought my next item. This was supposed to be a 1985 Libertad. The same happened with the exact same bidder, upping the price till it got to the actual item value. Again, I paid the crazy expensive upcharges and shipping. I waited for the items to come in. The Morgan dollar came in and again, it looked nothing like the photo, and this one had been cleaned with something very abrasive. The photo was completely different. I looked closer at their auction item photos and noticed that they use the same 2 or 3 photos over and over on items that they have multiples of. I attempted to email and call them and never got an answer. Then the 3rd item came in. It wasn't even the same year as the one I bought. This one was 10 years newer and it also was cleaned. I tried calling and emailing over and over with no replies, ever. I'll never buy from them again. I was reviewing bidding history on several things right after the auctions closed, and I noticed a pattern. There are 10 or so users that upbid everything till it either hits spot prices or greensheet value. Then they wait for the next sucker to bid so that it sells for just over its actual value. I think it's called shill bidding. It's highly illegal. Getting proof is nearly impossible. For all we know those are coin shop owners trying to buy things at or under value. I don't think that's the case. Steer clear of these guys who upcharge online bidders with fees and shipping.
