This place is my new favorite antique store Emporium that I can't wait to come back for. The staff here was very friendly upon walking in but not only that. This place is absolutely massive it is a treasure trove of artifacts with three floors to search and find anything and everything imaginable. This store puts most of the antique stores in Illinois to shame just because of what it offers. Formally this place was a senior living center and I am happy that they repurposed the building for something like this. There's an elevator and it moves very slowly. What's even cooler is that at the checkout they have beer in the cooler! How awesome is that besides all the snacks and munchies. I can't believe this business has been open for well over a year and a half this place is truly a hidden gem. Prices here are pretty good compared to most antique stores. Immense parking across the street or Park on the street. Highly recommend stopping in! read more

Wow is about how I can sum up this store!! There's an absolute plethora of goods and things to look at and buy. From vintage to new and everything in between your shirt to find something that you like. Prices are based on each individual booth so somewhere better than others but we did walk away with fear or four things from different booths. The staff is very polite and helpful. Not much to see. It wasn't very big and there were too many resale clothes. Not really an antique store.

I originally heard about this place when one of the vendors bought some antiques from me at a garage sale! (In fact, it sparked this whole great day trip to Morris for vintage shopping, so thank you!) True North is a big barn of a shop and it's split up among various vendors who each have little booths. There is a LOT to look at and a lot of it stimulated "I remember this!" conversations among my folks and me as we walked around. The place was clean and organized and staff was friendly. I ran into them in Chicago at Renegade craft fair in September so they do occasional remote gigs: get on their fan club list to see where! Definitely a stop on the Morris vintage shopping trail, though it isn't right downtown; head to True North for all your nostalgic needs! read more

Went for the first time today. Was blown away on how awesome it was! So much to look at way bigger then it looks from the outside. They have a random swing, pinball machines, a few old school arcade games and a slide you can go on. The slide takes you from one room into the garage area where there is a ton more to look at. Great deals as well!! Highly recommend checking it out! read more

This is a nice mom & pop store with multiple vendors. Antique & vintage items fill this building, which is well lit and well displayed in the front entrance. If you have some issues with mobility, you need to be careful in some aisles as there are a lot of goodies on the floor. Items start at the floor level & go up the walls and staff will gladly assist you with looking at items above your reach. Staff is usually nice and friendly. There are many price points, so I am sure you can find something in your price range. I definitely recommend stopping by to see memories of your childhood and more. read more

Even though it's a 45 minutes drive, I try to visit Morris at least once a month and True North is always on my list. Some great finds today-scrabble tiles, new old stock slogan T-shirt, vintage quilt squares. Lots of goodies to make my crafting heart happy! The staff there is really friendly they sell the randomest cutest things there, you could probably find gifts for family members for a cheap price. They sell all kinds of things. They have items that may remind you of your childhood. It's just such a cute store. read more

Love this place! We stop here every month or so just to see what's new and more often than not find something. Not the largest place but always full of assorted things of which many we have to have. If nothing else stop to to have a swing. It is the only store we have ever been in with an actual swing that you can use! (yes, really) Lots of cool stuff and friendly people. read more

This place is just SO cool! You can spend hours walking around...literally, hours!! The displays are like eye candy and so inspirational and it's my go-to for project pieces and gifts. Prices are SO reasonable, garage sale priced even in some booths (and I KNOW)!! No shop in town even comes close! They have everything and it's a different kind of antique shop with t-shirts, barn wood, farm stuff mixed in with kitchenwares, upcycled furniture, vintage jewelry, etc. AND it's huge. If you're in Morris, go there first! It's a fun place and the owners and vendors are so friendly, too! read more

This place has a lot to choose from and since the largest antique mall in Morris closed, they are now the largest. When they first opened, their prices were pretty good. We haven't been there for a few months, but we just went back about a week ago. I'm not sure what happened, but the prices are OUTRAGEOUS now. My wife and I do a lot of antique shopping and we know what fair prices are for the specific things we look for. The pricing has gone through the roof here. Prices on most items we looked at were at least double what they should be. Needless to say, we didn't leave with much at all. Six months ago, I would have given them five stars, but the grossly inflated prices only merit two now. We may go back from time to time, because they are so close, but I won't be opening my wallet too wide here if the prices remain so high. read more

If I had a dollar for every time I raved about this store to a friend, well, then I would shopping at True North even more than I do now! A TON of vintage finds that are very reasonable priced. There is an extensive variety of vendors each with their own unique taste, and it is that which makes this store extra special. I used to avidly search for antique stores, but haven't felt the need to since stopping here. I always find something that I just HAVE to have when I am here. There is definitely something for everyone. There is a swing to stop and swing on while you are shopping, a fun scavenger hunt to keep kids busy, a Ms. Pac-Man machine to play, and locally made snacks that are to die for! I am a teacher and I am always looking for fun, functional, and quirky vintage items for my classroom and have found numerous things here. This store makes antique shopping so FUN, I would shout it from the rooftops! read more
