The AMC theater seems to be the biggest draw. The former JCPenney will soon become Spirit Halloween. I sure hope this mall can somehow be revitalized. The locals need somewhere to shop that isn't Kohls or Walmart.

I came here on the weekend and the parking lot was packed and I thought this place was packed because we were expecting plenty of food options. I guess, the only thing really driving this mall here is the movie theater. The rest of the mall is basically an afterthought. The mall itself is more of a medium size, once story mall, over half the stores are vacant and just one anchor I believe, there really isn't much food here either if you're hungry. The stores they have here aren't bad either, I know this place is trying its best too. I love it's creative idea to put a haunted house in a mall, I give that credit. Definitely great for mall walking but not an exciting mall. This mall in my opinion is really outdated with its interior, it reminds me of walking into Ford City before they remodeled it.

Upon waling in through the front door you will either be delighted or intimidated at the decor and style, but do no fret this place is awesome. From 1920's post cards ($1.00 collectors items) to moccasins to Motorcycle Jackets, this place has it all. I stopped in on this particular occasion to look for a new pair of biker boots, I have looked around and I was either unhappy with either the style or prices I found else where then I laid my eyes on some traditional style Milwaukee lace up boots (not those plastic buckle sort of things that look like roller blades) with a nice modern touch dual zippers on the side so you lace them the way you like tie a good knot and you never have to lace them again! Thankfully they take credit cards becasue I was not planning on making a purchase but at $105.00 who could pass this up. The owner is good old guy who checks up on you but does not follow you around and keeps good conversation short. If you are from the area and have not been here what are you waiting for? and if you are just passing buy stop on in and check them out there is something here for everyone.

The place hardly changed (except for a new biker bar annexed to it), and is a welcome sight whenever we visit town, with its familiar storefront and vintage Western style sign. It promises unique treasures inside, and it delivers! The eclectic mix of merchandise includes biker/Native American/fantasy themed tchotchkes. They also sell Minnetonka and Red Wing boots. I saw a whole wall of guns and bullets. My prize finds are vintage Starved Rock postcards and some new old stock glass seed bead bracelets. Prices are inexpensive to moderate. I hope they stay in business for many, many more years!

AVOID SHOPPING HERE!…read more I am very mindful of how I treat people who work at grocery and convenience stores because I know they have a difficult job. They're putting their health and safety at risk as much as other first responders but without the recognition or appreciation other high profile professions get. Many of them are our kids, our older relatives who do this to get out of the house a couple of days a week. I have great respect for them. That being said, this store is AWFUL! I no longer give them my money. The majority of the staff is rude and poorly trained. The store is often dirty, the produce is dirty and old, there are always piles of boxes and packing materials in the aisles but no one shelving merch. I have had to hunt down a cashier on several occasions because two of them would be standing in an aisle gossiping with each other and no one is at the register. And forget finding a manager, she's never anywhere to be found. She's either "not in" or "in the back" paying no attention to the store conditions, the customers, or the staff. For a short period of time there was male manager (or assistant manager) that seemed to be cleaning the place up but he's long gone. the new woman managing (or assistant managing) appears to be operating a kind of mean girls club that seems to get satisfaction from trash talking other customers and staff they don't like. I agree with Amanda Rose H, years ago the staff were everyday helpful, friendly, polite people. Now they're aggressive, rude, and confrontational. The environment in this store is so toxic that, even though this store is around the block from my home, I will go out of my way to stop anywhere but here for my milk and bread. Without going into detail I've told my adult sons especially to stay away from there. Just not a good place for them to be!

Aisles are wide, which is helpful if you have a physical disability. They carry a few shoe options but it would be great if they carried more. Additionally, more clothing options for adult women would be helpful, too, as they seem to cater to the "junior" crowd. Additionally, higher-end clothing for plus size would awesome. The store is bright, well maintained and set up nicely.

I like shopping at Famous Footwear for shoes. Especially when I get a $5 off coupon in the mail or…read moreif they are doing a buy one get one half off special or something like that. I don't like paying over $60 for a pair of shoes but sometimes I do and then they send you coupons when you spend over a certain amount if you join their rewards program. One problem I have is they usually don't carry a lot of shoes in size 11 and some of them are very tight fitting and they don't offer a large selection of shoes in wides either. Sometimes I need a wide and sometimes I don't, it just depends on the fit of the shoe. Anyway, other than them not having my size and having to order online a lot, I would say it is a good experience to let them help you pick out shoes here. The people that work here are very friendly and always greet you when you walk in the place. They ask if they can help you find anything or what you are looking for. I've never had a bad experience while shopping for shoes there because if they don't have your size, they will order it and ship it to you for free and you just pay for it then and get it in the mail. So that kind of makes up for not having the size except that you lose that instant feeling of gratification that you get when you buy a new pair of shoes because you have to wait to get them.
