I started working w/ Brittany a few months ago and she fully understood my goals. She developed a personalized plan for me and we got to work. First, she fixed my diet by giving me the exact macros I need to hit to see the best results. She also coached me to eat better and provided easy lifestyle changes that allowed me to hit my goals w/o flipping my life upside down.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ Second, Brittany designed a highly creative workout regiment that mimics boxing rounds. 3 minutes on, 1 minute off. I do many of the same exercises that the top UFC fighters and boxers do, and over time I've begun to excel. Now, I'm in the best shape I've ever been in, my cardio is light years better than before and my strength is outstanding. I've improved my boxing skills rapidly all thanks to Brittany. Fitopia is the first studio in the greater Cincinnati region to use EMS - Electrical Muscle Stimulation which is used by physical therapists and chiropractors to target specific muscles and help them contract and strengthen. When you arrive you are welcomed, your temperature is taken and they discuss the workout, they then have you sign a waiver and then get you suited up for your workout. They give you a body suit (top and shorts) to change into (which is thoroughly laundered). You are assigned a changing room where you change and leave your items until your workout is completed. Alice was my trainer, she gets you in vest and then attaches a variety of the pads to your arms, butt, waist and legs. Then you're hooked into the EMS machine and she adjusts the electrical stimulation amount to your proper level, I noticed mine was at 66, then your 20 minute workout begins. I really enjoyed the boxing elements of my workout, working with bands, 3 pound weights, it truly was a great workout and the time flew by! After we were completed then I went back to the changing room and changed back into my clothes. Note everyone must wear a mask and there are only 2 other working out at the same time, safely distanced and each with their own trainer. My upper back and arms felt sore and I went to bed early as I was so tired from the workout - the 20 minutes is equivalent to a 90 minute workout and the EMS exhausts your muscles and they advise not to workout for 48 hours afterward. They recommend 1 workout a week, 2 for more elite athletes, they also perform a complete body analysis. This is the future of working out and can't wait to return.
