Great gym! I do personal training twice a week. I was in a bad automobile accident a few months ago. Unfortunately I was hit by a drunk driver. I recently finished physical therapy. And was given the ok to start working out again. Despite my injuries. My personal trainer Alyssa is fantastic. Knowledgeable and so helpful. Great personality. Every time I go to this gym I have something new to do! From pickleball to basketball. The pool inside and outside are large and amazing, and they both come equipped with hot tubs. My wife and I have been members since 2007. We absolutely love our Life Time fitness. My wife does classes six days a week and is extremely happy with the instructors. I spend my time with the weights. In the last couple years they have invested a lot of money to upgrade the facility. Positive changes are constantly being made. A few months ago Greg took over as the general manager. He's extremely friendly, always out greeting people with a smile and a professional appearance. It seems as though he's implemented a policy with the staff to keep the facility clean. There's not a day that goes by that you don't see multiple people cleaning vacuuming throughout the facility. The general manager is the friendliest and approachable manager we've ever had. Corey at the front desk, always greets eryone with a smile. He's so well liked. Alexandria Hoferkamp is another staff member that's friendly to everyone. She's the go to person if you have any type of problem with your membership. I could go on and on, but the point is this is a fantastic facility and it has something to offer everyone depending on your specific needs. Thank you and keep it up! read more

It would be nice if Lifetime Fitness partnered better with Medicare advantage plans and helped older people. Right now, there's virtually NO plans that offer access to Lifetime Fitness. I believe there are just 2 plans (which are expensive plans) and Lifetime Fitness severely limits the hours that older people can use the facilities. I was a member from shortly after it opened (paid out-of-pocket), until I retired and had to change my Medicare Advantage Plan in Jan, 2025. Now I can no longer go to Lifetime Fitness. read more

Several class options and times. I usually go early mornings and plently of weight eqipment and cardio available. The rejuvination spa is what I need to help recover. I go to Lifetime because it's the only gym in a 50 mile radius that seems to have an indoor/outdoor pool, racquetball courts, steam room and sauna. I go for thr amenities. For access to those amenities I pay about $120/month for the couples membership. If I didn't care about those amenities I would just give plant fitness $10 bucks a month. I have no illusions about what I am getting for that cost. But make no mistake, this is not a "luxury" gym, and you won't get the Frasier Crane experience. You certainly don't get anything close to the service you would expect from a gym with this cost of membership. It's a pathetically managed and dirty gym with rude staff and no desire or ability to enforce any of the rules. My wife and I joined about 3 months ago. The first thing I noticed was that 5 out of 6 of the front desk staff have the social skills of a trained monkey. Most of them can't even muster a hello. They are often engaged in conversation with one another and they don't break that conversation for so much as eye contact and a simple greeting. They just wave the scanner over your card and continue talking about their new Tesla or meal replacement shakes.. or whatever it is they're celebrating at that moment. There's one gentleman who works the front desk from time that is the only exception. There are very basic rules of etiquette at this gym, as there are at any other gym, however they're not enforced. Sadly the spectrum of members runs the gambit from pre teens who lounge on equipment like jungle-jims to meatheads who think they're training for the Mr. Olympia Contest and grunting loudly through every set while "looking around to see who is looking at them, looking at you, looking at them, to see if they are looking at you.." before they eventually slam the weights to the ground in spartan-like exhaustion. Mind you, there are signs all over the gym that instruct members to follow some simple rules, like don't slan weights or clean the equipment after use.. but the staff is clearly too timid or useless to enforce any of it. Other irritating but commonplace occurrences are members sitting around on equipment while staring at their phone for 30 minutes without performing a set during peak hours. As well as "supersetting" or occupying multiple pieces of equipment during peak hours. NOBODY cleans their equipment after use at this gym. We joined during the height of covid when masks were required, however there were always a handful of members who refused to wear a mask. I will admit, my wife and I have never been hardcore supporters of masks throughout this pandemic, however where masks were mandated we always wore them. We are not the type of people to blatantly disregard rules in establishments where rules are in place. We do not seek out or invite conflict. So while I don't love wearing a mask, I do so when necessary. And I expect establishments that mandate these policies to enforce them ACROSS THE BOARD. This was not the case at Lifetime. While the staff always wore theirs as required, there were many ocassions when someone who refused to wear theirs would literally walk right up to a staff and start a dialogue, and that staff could not muster the cajones to confront the member on their refusal to wear a mask. The icing on the cake was when the mask mandate was finally lifted last month and we received an email notifying us of the changes. The email explained that masks will no longer be mandated, but don't worry Lifetime will be (and I am paraphrasing here) "continuing to maintain its unparalleled level of cleanliness and sanitation efforts.." Huge place with so many options to transition your fitness goals. Clean, modern, and spacious.

Been a member for a few years. There are many good things and there is room for improvement. The facility is big, offers outdoor and indoor pools, saunas & steam rooms. Gym has plenty of well kept machines for cardio and weight lifting. The classes offered with the membership are worth it. Yoga specially. The trainers are awesome, most of them friendly! The locker rooms have toilet trees and depending on the time of the day- can be clean. Parking is convenient and safe. In my opinion the problem at this Life Time is the culture. Some members treat it like their basement. Others like the gas station restroom. There isn't enough enforcement of rules, not enough adults in staff monitoring the common areas. Members like myself run into issues such as a group of ten guys (looking a bit like a pack of hungry wolves) storming the sauna while staring at my wife and making inappropriate comments. Another example is during yoga classes people will take off their clothes and the instructors seem ok with it, making the rest of the class a bit uncomfortable. I guess it comes down to etiquette, both from staff and members alike. For the price of this membership one expects respect and fairness. Overall it is a very good place to work out and relax. I enjoyed the variety of options to get active and I worked with a fantastic trainer for a couple years. Along with the standard weights and cardio machines, they have a pool (which was often being used by the local swim teams), pickle ball, squash courts, basketball, and wall climbing. They also have a decent selection of group fitness classes, some of which you do have to pay extra for. A spa and restraunt are on site as well. I can't say anything about the children's activities because I don't have children and never utilized it. I had no problem with the club; they were always great for me. But their last price hike combined with the inflation of everything else just got too much for my budget to handle and I found a cheaper comparable gym nearer to my house. And I didn't have any problem canceling. I had to cancel in-person (they don't take cancellations over the phone), which wasn't a problem since I was in there 2-4 times a week anyway. They also ask the standard 30-day notice, which they should prorate your last membership fee to the 30-day mark. read more

This review strictly has to do with billing. When I joined a month ago, the guy at the front desk told me it was $120 per month. Less then one month after I paid, my card got charged $137. I called to ask about this, and I was told it was because of "extra fees" which I knew nothing about. I can't say better things about the staff at life time, on the other hand I can't say worse about the clients that go to this gym. On one had the staff & crew are extremely professional and always helpful while 80%~ of customers (gym members) are stuck up, pretentious, and don't understand basic gym etiquette. They also seem to have an issue with their personal trainers, they all seem annoyed to be there and uninterested in helping out. Apart of my negative review, I mistook a regular team member with Kevin Hill (General Manager) and spoke poorly on his name. I would like to say that was a mistake . To provide some context, pre-Lifetime, I have historically refused to go to the gym. Yes, I will attend classes and kickbox or Zumba; however the gym is a no-no. Why is this? Well, gyms are smelly, disgusting, dirty, crowded, etc. My good friend brought me to Lifetime, and I was enlightened. Lifetime is spacious enough where it does not leave you waiting for a machine for 20 minutes. They also have several tv screens, so you can choose what you want to watch. They do have it maintained relatively well. I'm satisfied. They have everything you would expect from a standard gym plus more. There is even a small rock climbing area...nice. The associates who work there are real gems. They are genuine and friendly. Yes, the membership here is double or triple what you pay at some other gyms, but I don't mind. I like it. I love how much stuff there is to do. Food is amazing, courts, classes, gym, rock wall, all amazing. But the service. People at the register in the cafes are so rude. They don't always get my order right. One time I ordered a gluten free grilled cheese because I have the worst stomach aches when I eat gluten. And it came on regular bread. And when I asked why they made it on regular they told me I never asked for gluten free bread. They said it with an attitude and I was very shocked with their behavior. Lifetime, if you read this, ask your employees to be nicer and have more patience. Same with the kids academy and the camps. My brother went and he came home crying telling us how mean the teachers were and how there were kids who were really mean to him and the people working didn't care. kids called him a girl and girly because he was wearing purple. The only reason he was wearing a nice dress shirt that was purple is because we had our grandpas funeral right afterwards. Now he begs to stay home with me instead of going to lifetime camp. I've been a member here for a while, and the service and offerings have just gotten worse with time. A majority of the employees are rude and don't try to greet you at all when you walk in. They simply continue their conversations amongst themselves at the front desk. If you try to bring a guest, they make it seem like it is the most inconveniencing thing ever and make you feel bad. They used to allow two guests a month (didn't matter the person), then made it so you couldn't bring the same person more than once a month, and now it is once every 60 days. All of this while the price of my membership has gone up. Now I am seeing new guests will have to pay extra to have pool access. Only staying because they have the equipment, classes, and pool I need. read more

The front desk reception area is made up of very solid customer service folks. You can tell a lot about someone when they are not looking right. The reason why I opened the membership was the "Valley ball.". And they have the indoor valley ball. Three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday . There are a lot of activities to do , clean and nice , very nice stuff. But just one thing That I don't like is they just have one net for valley ball and it's an issue to play when there are over 4,5 teams you have to wait for turn and when it is over 4,5 teams it means that you waist your time just for waiting your turn and you can not to do other activities in that spot not miss your team . I would and the other players as well appreciate it if they got the other net that the 4 team could play at the same time and every player would be happy and play enough as Moluccan as they want ! And hopefully whoever reads this or can solve the issue about making other net to the other players would be just great everyone would be happy . Because the other side is just vacant nobody plays and I think that is the right thing to use it during valley ball schedules ))) . read more

If you choose to join with this fitness company be very aware of their shady business practices. After being with them since 1999 (started in Michigan), I decided that their periodic $5-6 monthly price increase was getting excessive so I decided to quit them. On July 28, 2014, I went into the club and said that effective that day, I wanted to end my membership. They said that they would bill me on Aug 1st for another month and my effective last day would be Aug 31st. I said, "No", I want to end my membership that day on July 28 and not be billed for an extra month. Apparently, they said that in their contract (in some sneaky fine print) they have the option to bill an extra month. This is just poor business ethics. When you join, they hit you with a $100 - $200 initiation fee and then whenever you decide to end your membership they "decide " to take an extra month. In my case $131 for my family membership. The club is nice, but be aware of their hidden profit opportunities. read more

What a fantastic place. Someone said that if you treat going to the gym, like you would going to the spa, then working out would be a lot easier. Well this is not only a gym, it's a spa, recreational center, barber, and restaurant. You could spend hours in here pampering, and taking care of yourself. It's very family friendly, and many families workout here, play basketball, and even dine here. I've been a member here since they opened, and I can't imagine belonging anywhere else. They definitely set the standard for a gym that is all inclusive of all types, and all focuses. The current costs as of January 2019 are $72 for a single membership, or $120 for a couples membership. I'm not sure what families cost, but the price seems to discount further as you add more people. As far as the facility, they have 4 swimming pools (1 lap indoor, 1 indoor, 1 lap outdoor, 1 outdoor). Both of the main pools have slides for the kids, and when the outdoor pool is open, there is even a snack shack outside. There are also two large jacuzzis. There are men's/women's locker rooms with showers, a sauna, and a steam room. The lockers are combination, and towel service is included, as well as the soap in the showers. As you walk in to the left, there is the spa which includes haircuts, massages, and facials. The cafe is on the right with all kinds of healthy options including smoothies, and shakes. They also sell supplements in the cafe as well. Downstairs they have some basketball courts, indoor soccer, badminton, and an indoor rock climbing wall (can't remember if that's still there). They also have daycare on the premises, which I believe is free to members up until so many hours. Upstairs is the gym with a plethora of machines that are very nice and updated. I love the new treadmills, as they seem to be easier on my joints when I run. They also have many free weights, and resistance exercise platforms. Classes like yoga, and cardio are plentiful, and most are free. They also have Pilates here as well. The staff is everywhere as they are constantly cleaning and helping out members. I haven't had a bad experience with any of the staff in 12 years, and quite contrary, they have always been a pleasure to work with. Trainers are also available at the training desk upstairs. The best thing about the gym is that they are open 24 hours, so it will fit your schedule whatever that may be. The only reason why I don't give 5 stars is that the locker rooms could use a little updating. They aren't horrible or anything, but are starting to show their wear a little. If you're serious about staying on the path to healthiness, then I would definitely recommend checking out Lifetime! read more

Trainers are supportive and genuinely want to help clients reach their personal fitness goals...the focus here is to get healthy, not skinny. The second floor of the gym has a dance studio for fitness classes, a Pilates/yoga studio that looks like it belongs in a fancy New York spa, a spinning room, and a huge floor of cardio equipment and weight machines. Television sets, tuned to different stations, line the entire perimeter so you have a good view of your program no matter what equipment you are using. The first floor of Lifetime, on the other hand, is what makes this gym different from any other. Locker rooms are elegant and spacious; they offer clean showers, wet and dry saunas, and hairdryers for the convenience of patrons. The pool area is also accessible from the locker rooms; two enormous sunken hot tubs (max capacity 30) are great for post-workout relaxation...I've never been sore after a workout at Lifetime, thanks to the hot tub jets! Lifetime has two indoor pools, one for laps and working out, the other for swim lessons and family fun. There is also a huge outdoor pool for summer days; a water slide is featured along with a snack bar. Lifetime has both a restaurant and a salon/spa inside their massive premises. I love eating at the LifeCafe because I feel healthy; even if I'm eating a pizza...everything is freshly made. The LifeSpa & Salon is great for massages and hair services to reward yourself after long weeks of dedicated fitness. Lifetime offers free week long memberships to aspiring members, so there is no reason to not check this place out. Enjoy it! Expensive. I had been a member here for 4 years, however their prices continued to increase. While it is a nice facility that offers many things from classes, to pools etc many of their benefits still cost extra. Their equipment is slightly outdated as well. I tried to bring a guest at one point (which they dont normally allow) and they harassed him for a month trying to get him to join when he doesnt even live nearby. They seem to have a huge staff turnover so you arent dealing with the same friendly faces or good customer service. I recently let my Lifetime membership expire but first I'll point out the positives of the club. The monthly membership was being upped to around $68 per month. For some people that may be a fair deal for everything LTF offers but considering I only life weights and run on a treadmill I don't see the purpose in paying for swimming pools, saunas, etc... Oh...great eye candy for all you single folk out there, too. They have everything! And I mean everything! Cardio equipment, cardio classes (also yoga, zumba, pilates), nautilus equipment, free weights, indoor basketball and volleyball courts, indoor soccer field, indoor rock wall, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, snack bar for wraps, sandwiches and smoothies, a salon for hairstyling and massages. Whew! Plus the gym has several tv's, plenty of lockers with a keylock system so no padlocks necessary and free towel service. They have several personal trainers who all seem polite and friendly. They have multiple pieces of equipment so you aren't stuck waiting in line to finish your arm workout...you just move over to the next machine. This place is over 100,000 square feet. It's ridiculous! Having said that, I did just let my membership expire. The membership is a flat rate so you pay the same even if you don't do everything. I typically lift weights and run on a treadmill so why should I pay extra for an indoor soccer field and rockwall, right? Exactly... That's my only knock on Lifetime. It is expensive but the value and equipment offered is outstanding. Also, my move to a smaller, more practical gym was also aided by a discount that I get through my employer. Overall, I would suggest Lifetime Fitness to anyone who was looking for a gym that offered multiple forms of equipment and exercise options. I would mention that it is pricy but still worth it if you are committed to going three or four times a week. read more

If being stupid was a capitol crime Lifetime Fitness Management would get the chair PLEASE READ WHY..... Classes start at 830am, child care opens at 830am...This alone is stupid at best....I digress 1. Spin Class Aerobic class are chock filled with kids running around the equipment disrupting people and in danger of getting hurt ergo LF liable for law suit. 2. Line out the door awaiting for kids room to open means classes and spots missed or at best late arrival to the class..thats always fun.. 3. Lack of management rectifying the problem....which frankly is an easy fix! Stephanie the Manager was emailed by me 3 weeks ago about all this....Last Saturday 830am the kids room attendant refused to let me drop off my Daughter till 830 "its our policy"....I was late to class b/c of this, (usually my wife brings here in and misses her spot and cant get equipment bc of it). Last Tuesday the 20th at 830am spin a woman had a toddler and a 3yo in the class trying to get set-up and when kids room opened..she ran down to get them in and was late to start..ps btw I walked by the kids room at 815am the attendee was standing there inside texting with the lights off... 4. Instructors are all 5STARS!!!! which is why I still attend classes. Now perhaps this is just corporate policy and part of their overall business model to support bad customer service, put themselves at legal risk and not encourage good customer relations to create a referral bases that translate into future revenue stream. But hey money had to come from somewhere (cutting the $10 dollar an hour per staff to open at 8am) to pay for that great $30,000 dollar cobble stone replacement in front last Winter...right? Which BTW will never drive a dime of new business.....Nice Job guys really thinking it through.... Thus, my 1 star rating ADDENDUM..........July 8th 2016 SWEAKY WHEEL GETS THE OIL.......So I upped the rating to a 3star. Still the best equipped gym in the area but the selection of gyms is growing. They are working on limited improvements and are thoughtful about maintaining and updating the equipment and classes. Hopefully, Lifetime will remove the unreliable combination locks on the lockers. You make your own pin by inserting your membership card. 50% of the time they will actually open when you try to unlock it. The only good thing, "failure to open" is so frequent a porter is often close by to help. There needs to be a basic gym etiquette class, especially around towels and shoes. I have seen a trail of towels from the showers to the locker rooms. Perhaps, if they can keep people from wearing gym shoes and tracking dirt and mud through the shower area they would save money on laundering towels to fix the lockers which are still original to the club. It is fairly obvious that it is the scale drawing attention. Just be aware that every little change in membership conditions or service will cost you extra. Even removing my son's membership cost $10 in fees, a bargain compared to the $40 to add him. read more

I am a fat guy. I start and stop workouts all of the time. I have belonged to other fitness centers (snap fitness, countryside YMCA), but I prefer to be here. I here a lot about the membership fees and how costly they are. To me, a couple bucks per day cannot compare to what you get at this facility. I was spending nearly $60 per month at the Countryside YMCA. Granted, the Y has a lot of amenities, but you have to pay extra for everything. At Lifetime Fitness, most classes are included. Plus, they have sort of a rewards program where you can earn points toward other things. Most people at the Y are volunteers, while Lifetime has paid professionals on the floor at all times. Plus the 24/7/365 hours beats the tar out of the Y. Any exercise routine requires that you put into it what you expect to get out. The staff at Lifetime is not only helpful but encouraging. And they remember your name. They are willing to help even when they are not on the clock. I get texts of encouragement and ideas for my workouts on a weekly basis, and not just from one trainer. They are all willing to help. Alicia started me off great getting me started with my membership. She was courteous and helpful, and a huge push to help me decide on Lifetime. Not because she was pushy, but seemed genuinely interested in my health and the rewards I would get by moving forward. Stacey gave me my free evaluation including a BMI and has been encouraging throughout. He sort of sets people up then hands them off to another trainer. But he still stops to see how things are going and always goes out of his way to say hi. Courtney broke down what I needed to do for my diet and has helped me to move past those desires for junk food. There are healthy options that taste good. She even makes changes to my fitness pal account to help me maximize my food intake. Jared is the trainer that I work with the most. He didn't just start me off with a program that he gives to everyone. He sat down with me and tailored my workout toward my goals and my desires. He will push when I need push, and lay back when other things are going on. I have a weird schedule sometimes. The facility is state-of-the-art, and they are continually keeping it that way. They have equipment for just about anything that you would want to do. Having access whenever I have time helps me to workout more often. They also have a cafe with healthy options and supplements. You can link your credit card to your membership card and pay for things that way. Very convenient. One of my main concerns was feeling inadequate in the "land of the giants." There are some seriously buff people here. The atmosphere is mostly encouraging, with few people that are "meatheadish." Overall, I would give this place 5 stars, but I have only been here a short time. If things keep going the way they are, I will change my vote to 5 stars very soon. And to think, for the money they I would spend on a coffee each day, I can better myself in so many way. read more

Nice spa / gym...but be very careful when you cancel. You need 2 - month(s) of notice and do not leave without something in writing. You will think that you have canceled but you will still have charges on your credit card until you block them. When you try to resolve the issue of leaving and the fact that they did not process your first request, do not expect the kind of service and attention as to when you signed over your $114 a month for two people. They are very rude if you insult them by asking to leave the fold. I would never join again, customer service is not part of the glitz, it is all packaging. read more
