Open gym hrs are limited and very expensive. Owner does not get along with men. You have to give 30 days notice to cancel.

I absolutely love SOS! They always have the best instructors and the variety of different classes…read moreis unmatched. I'm a huge fan of the CONTROL class it's an insane workout and I left feeling like I got my butt kicked in the best possible way. The studio is also very cool, and I love that they have heated classes as well. I don't live in Cincinnati anymore, but EVERY TIME I'm in town I make sure to make stopping in a priority!

I have been an SOSer for 5 years now. Which makes it shocking that I'm just now getting around to…read morewriting review, especially since I'm such a mega-fan! I first heard about SOS from a few folks when I worked at L Brands. They had a few loyal customers with whom I worked. To be honest, I was a little intimidated when I'd see these folks post about their workouts on social media. I had thought about trying it circa 2017, but was too intimidated (my loss!). But in 2019, I ended up with a stress fracture while marathon training. I was able to barely finish my training for the NYC Marathon, which I did successfully complete in November 2019. But at that point, it was evident that I couldn't just keep running marathons without incorporating strength training into my routine. So in Christmas Week 2019, I started with the 7 class starter pack just to try it out. I even joined Team Tread (their half & full marathon training program)in their Columbus location in January to start training for the Nashville Half in April 2020. Unfortunately for me, my SOS morning routines were abruptly halted in March 2020. But luckily, my team tread registration got me into the "digital studio" which I had no idea what it was at the time. I very quickly uncovered that it's all the same studio instructors and they have recorded classes with new uploads almost daily as well as a huge library of online classes (which as you can imagine has only grown in the past 5 years). I did what everyone else was doing and immediately ordered as many dumbbells, resistance bands, and other equipment to build up a "home SOS studio" and my equipment has been growing ever since. I moved to Arizona in summer 2021, and have continued to be a dedicated Digital Studio user and advocate. Whenever I come home to Ohio (whether Cbus or Cincy), I get giddy at the thought of going to classes in person and it's a treat to choose which classes I'll take and with which instructors. I can honestly say SOS Digital Studio has helped me get in the best shape of my life. I feel like I personally know all of the trainers (I don't have social media anymore, but when I did, I followed all of them, so again, felt like I kew them personally). When I was in Hawaii for my wedding, SO many people were asking me about my arms and complimenting me. I kept trying to tell them about the DS and how special SOS is. I will always be a dedicated and loyal fan. It's become such a part of my routine that I'm on Christmas Break now with my husband in Kansas (where he's from) and I've brought my ankle weights, light weights and loop bands just so I can get some classes in. Thank you, Gretchen and team for helping me be the best version of myself every day! Can't imagine what I'd do without the DS and my SOS training crew! (Only word of advice to newbies- the System DOES work! Don't skip out on any classes. As you can imagine, being a marathon runner, I favored all of the cardio classes. But it wasn't until I really started incorporating High & Tight as I prepared for my wedding that I noticed the chiseled arms that I'd always wanted. It's a well-rounded program that works wonders as long as you incorporate ALL of the classes). Particularly about the Cincy location, I love the rooms they have (1 dedicated to The Course, 1 for Ebb and High & Tight and another for In The Mix and Control). You can tell it was built after the Columbus locations! I also have only been here about 7 times total (since I'm more from the Columbus area). But both instructors Tyler and Emma have remembered me. Emma is for sure my favorite instructor. I was super spoiled this past Thanksgiving and had her for three straight days of classes! Oh how I wished I lived closer!

I'm a working mom with two kids (4 & 2), and after having babies, I developed all kinds of problems…read more. . . I was underweight, had pre-diabetes, was getting back spasms, and was generally tired and run down. My doctor offered me two options: start medication for diabetes, or do something radical. She suggested weight training. Enter Anne. I've been training w/ Anne for about 7 months, twice a week. I went in with two goals: 1) Gain 10 pounds, 2) get my fasting blood sugar to normal levels. It only took about 8 weeks for me to get there . . . kind of amazing, right? But in addition to these things, I have had all kinds of other great improvements: my posture is better (people comment on it all the time), I have tons more energy (and drink less coffee), no more back problems, my balance and coordination is better. Oh? And bonus? BIKINIS. I went in to this for health and not aesthetics, but it sure is awesome to have visible abs after two babies and two csections. I look better than I did when I was 19!!!!! I've always been a pretty active person, but I've never had these kinds of results so fast. The secret weapon is Anne. She is an amazing trainer. Anne has spent a lot of time working with me on the mechanics, rather than emphasizing weight or reps. She wants to make sure that I do things correctly, and really emphasizes the progression, instead of the max. I think it's also extra helpful to train with a woman, because . . . well, she's a woman. Anne has spent a lot of time working with me on building core strength and proper alignment. Those basics make such a big difference in everything else. She's smart, highly educated, and goes to workshops/trainings so that she can continue learning. I basically think everyone in the world should know Anne!!!! Other things to know about StrongFit, more generally: Location is fantastic. Facilities are good. The environment is friendly and approachable. I go in the mornings, and the other morning trainers (Luke & Steve), as well as the regulars are all awesome people. Friendly, but not cliquey. No smarmy gym guys (that matters when you're a woman) - everybody is respectful and supportive. But, really, if you are a woman, you want to go there and see Anne. She's pretty much the best :)

Sweat is the best workout I've had in years! What an incredible training experience…read more Sweat is great for so many reasons. The venue itself is pretty awesome. The owner did such a cool job decorating (I didn't even know that could be possible for a gym!). It's very clean, contemporary looking, and well kept, including the locker room. There are two main training areas, one for the bootcamp and one for personal training. I haven't tried out the personal training yet, but I can't even begin to describe how much I love the bootcamp classes. It is the greatest feeling in the world to go to a class that is only 30 minutes long and you seriously are burning afterwards. The trainers are awesome and really know how to pump you up and get you through the class. Danielle (owner) and Taylor are the two trainers my friends and I have had, and they are awesome! Bootcamp is usually a smaller class setting, which is pretty cool because it almost feels like personal training. What's also nice is that the classes aren't tailored to men or women. Anyone can come and get an incredible workout. I haven't looked forward to a specific group workout class in a while. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to try a new place and get an awesome workout! Tip: There's a Groupon right now for a month's worth of classes - try it out! They're a great business and group of people.

Outside of the environment the owner Danielle and bootcamp instructors are top notch! The personal training is highly personalized and Danielle is very knowledgable about working with people who may have previous injuries to regain strength and mobility. Bootcamp is great because it is only 30 minutes but really high intensity to get the best workout in that time frame and is super convenient because it's offered 6 days a week at several different times. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Both are close but I chose this place because the commute has less traffic, the clientele is laid back, the availability of the machines (even at peak times) and great management. We don't need state of the art equipment. Just enough to get the job done. There are Enough cardio machines, free weights and nautilus machines to go around. Classes are offered via computer. Check the schedule. There are two showers (unisex) and storage for your gear at the front. This place does not offer hydro massage or a sauna room. The best part about this place is the convenience. You have a card that scans at the door and you can workout anytime. 24 hour facility. Jarred (manager) was very friendly, detailed and went though the monthly contract thoroughly. No pressure and the pricing is very reasonable . Plus they keep the facility clean. I love it here. I feel more motivated to go to the gym. I never have to wait for a machine and there are no egos!

They spend exorbitant amounts of time on machines while listlessly staring at their phones without a single care for others. Well, I wanna get my workout in and get out, not wait on a social media addict to waste my time. Anytime Fitness has now become that place that's anything BUT Planet Fitness. This location may be small, but it has everything my lady and I need, and doesn't have the disrespectful clientele. One price ($34 a month) gets you access to all locations, plus an annual fee of $25, so a little more than PF, but I'll pay it for the advantage of being able get my workouts in on my terms instead of someone else's. Tired of Planet egos? Head to Anytime Fitness. Get your gains on!
