I booked a future appointment and arrived on time, but once again she had canceled my appointment without notice, meaning I showed up for a canceled appointment that was sent via email. Nikki asked me to sign a form about being charged if I no-showed or didn't call, which I signed. She also wanted to take my credit card info to ensure I would be charged if I didn't show up or I had to pay in advance for any service. I thought this was unfair since I've been coming here for years and this had never been mentioned before. After that visit, I scheduled another follow-up, and Nikki called me from a private number, presumably thinking I was avoiding her, to tell me I needed to pay in advance. I refused because I told her I would be there. I believe they only treat certain demographics of customers in this manner.

DO NOT GET LASER HAIR REMOVAL HERE…read more I have had laser hair removal done on my face and neck before at several locations, but this was my first time looking in the Greater Boston area. The laser was so exceedingly painful, like nothing I had experienced before. I voiced this to Maria, who assured me it was because this was a different type of laser (a "real laser"), unlike the places I had been before, which is why some hair had previously returned. Well, we had previously done a test patch that went fine (save for some lovely, unsolicited commentary that I should see a doctor because I have a lot of body hair and oily skin, thanks Maria). Huge mistake. Clearly she didn't check the settings of the machine that day, because I left with the makings of second degree burns over my face and neck. It's now obvious she realized she messed up, lowering the intensity mid-way through, telling me to call her the next day even though she wasn't working, and giving me some complimentary collagen spray that'll heal it right up, don't bother with anything else. Fast forward a few hours and I'm in urgent care, who gave me an expedited referral to a burn unit. It's now been four visits to the burn unit over several months and time off of work because my face and neck have been red, purple, blistering, and bleeding. At least the wounds have finally closed, but I'm still left with a massive burn scar. When the doctors say "who did this to you", you know it's bad. I'd attach pictures of all the burn stages if I didn't pity the person scrolling through Yelp who has to see that. Maria assured me that this has never happened before... as if that excuses the fact that it happened to me. Well, I hope this review means it will never happen to anyone else. Since this business gives every indication of carrying on their laser use as usual, I am leaving my first and hopefully last Yelp review, to warn that NO ONE SHOULD COME HERE FOR LASER HAIR REMOVAL, EVER.

If you're looking for someone who actually knows what they are doing then I HIGHLY recommend Laura Kimberley, RN/BSN of Esthetics Center of New England. Her title is advanced nurse injector/owner and I immediately connected with her personally and professionally. She is highly professional yet also really fun and very friendly- I HIGHLY recommend Laura if you're looking for any type of 'injection'! It took me about an hour to get to this part of MA from my home in Rhode Island. When I walked in- I was immediately put at ease (these sort of places can make you nervous because what if they make a mistake & they work primarily on word of mouth- my friend Deanna suggested I go here- and I'm glad she did). Within the first five minutes I KNEW Laura was highly intelligent as her paperwork (few pages I had to fill out) genuinely reflected what 'filler' really is/does/represents. She was extremely knowledgeable about the brands (Restalyne, Juvaderm, etc., and she primarily specializes in lip correction saying that around 75% of her clients need some type of correction. She told me that she could tell I had filler done before (without my mention) as it had moved and that the person who did my last injections- practically ruined my Cupid's bow! Most medical spas have doctors on site who have extremely high fees and genuinely have no idea what they are doing, I've had a dermatologist PCNS do them and a doctor and they both did not know what to do regarding my lips- whereas Laura immediately knew exactly what to do! This is my third time I've gotten filler and I've never once been asked about smoking (which apparently is a big no-no before injections) or my skin type and if I've recently gone tanning or been in the sun. I was then asked about cold sores which if you've ever gotten them- you know that pain/injury can cause them- so if you're being stuck by a bunch of different needles then your chance of getting a cold sore highly increases and if you get a prescription for Valtrex (yes it's used for genital herpes AND cold sores) before your appointment and take it that day- you're chance of getting a cold sore decreases by almost 95%! I knew the information about the cold sores but I had no idea you were not supposed to smoke or ran prior to the injections. I LOVED the way my lips came out! She more or less corrected them (as they were extremely crooked) and I'll be returning in 3 weeks to get them enhanced a bit more. Laura TRULY is an EXPERT on non-surgical procedures - face lifts, lip enhancement/correction/filler, and her prices are great ! I don't care if this place was 1 hour or 2 hours away- as I will never go to anyone else beside Laura Kimberley! If you are hesitant/weary or considering or are thinking about a non-surgical procedure - specifically an injectable- then pay Laura a visit- you will feel comfortable within minutes and the results speak for themselves!!! I know that if you like her IG Page- she takes off $$ from your total.
