I was looking at personalized Christmas stockings for my two-year old twins. If I ordered at the time I was looking (December 15th), the estimated arrival on the Personal Creations website was December 24-27, so I went ahead and trusted that the site was correct and ordered them on December 15. The stockings did not arrive until January 2. I "chatted" with Personal Creations and they said that they did not guarantee anything but 9 business days from when the order was placed. I told them that it was their site that stated December 24-27 as the arrival date, and rather than owning up to their deception, they said that their guarantee was for 9 business days. I told them that I received an email from Personal Creations when it was shipped on the 17th and that the email said the order would be at my place by the 20th. I have the email, verifying the December 20th date. However, none of this made a difference to Personalized Creations. As it turns out, if the order had arrived in 9 business days, it should have arrived on December 30 and not January 2- so they did not meet their own guarantee. To make matters more irritating, they shipped using UPS and the UPS tracking showed that the package would not arrive until January 3. In other words, when Personal Creations shipped the package, they knew that it would not arrive as they stated on their website - and they still sent me an email that day stating that the package would arrive December 20th. They would not refund my money. Instead, they offered me a reduction on my next purchase. So, their site deceives me and instead of making it right by returning my money, they want me to give them more money. I declined their offer, and will not use them again. read more

I was so excited to receive the pillow I had ordered for a gift. I had uploaded 6 photos to be on the pillow and I was sadly disappointed with how it turned out. All of the photos on the pillow are either cut off at the top or bottom and the pictures in the 4 corners are not centered at all. When I uploaded the photos I had them all centered and with the stuffing of the pillow it shifted all of them. That is a production error. I would not possibly know how to arrange my photos in their template so that they are actually centered and not cut off. I don't know anyone who would want their photos to be cut off or not centered so maybe they need a new template or some sort of adjustment. The expected delivery date was December 7. It is now December 23 and no stocking and no response from personalcreations.com. They've had my $42 since December 7. I'm beyond irritated and in a time when dollars are precious and customer service is a must, this site is clearly in over their heads and should responsibly state realistic production and shipping times. Even shadier, the "Tracking" on the order says it's been on its way to a USPS facility for over two weeks and a "Shipment Confirmation" was received from personalcreations.com a few days after ordering. An obvious attempt at pacifying customers while they flounder. Shame on you. Updated to add: I remembered that I used PayPal to complete this purchase, so I filed a dispute with PayPal in hopes that they can help intervene, since personal creations can't be bothered to reply. I am writing this review here because it is impossible to write a Google review for Personal Creations--something that I have never encountered before, thus makes me wonder how their 4.7 star Google rating can be explained. I ordered two Snowflake Flurry Photo with Message Square ornaments to give as Christmas presents. The photos included in my order confirmation email illustrated exactly what I wanted (Photo 1, attached). However, when I received the order, the ornaments were plain (no snow flurry etching), and the top corner of one of the photos was chipped and the bottom of the other photo was not lined up (second photo). I chatted with a very friendly and courteous representative who offered to place a replacement order. I was really looking forward to getting the new shipment, which I received promptly and before Christmas. Nevertheless, it ALSO was missing the snow flurry etching. At least the second order's pictures were okay. I should note that the ornaments come with a "Made in China" sticker affixed precisely over the location where your personalized message appears; the glue of this sticker is so "effective" it takes about 10 minutes to remove from each ornament. I immediately sent a message and an email through their site. No response. The next day, I sent another message. No response. Then, I received notice that my order had shipped. Heads up! They false advertise the free shipping over $49. Then they really get you because shipping is 6.99 - 14.99 BUT then they had a processing fee on top of that. I love their products (they are beautiful and we have ordered from them before - Christmas stockings) but their shipping and handling charges are ridiculous. I only bought it because I had a Groupon, otherwise the shipping and handling charges were almost as much as the product that I bought, which would have put me off. It would be much better to just make the product price include the handling charge, or charge a fee for personalization (instead of saying personalization is free), and lower shipping costs ($8 for one stocking!!). Also, I don't like how the site doesn't tell you about the shipping or handling cost until after you have put all of your payment information in, which is really misleading. When you pick shipping you have the optionof 'standard shipping' and it doesn't say how much that costs, so you think it's free, or you can pick expedited shipping for $7.99. You go for the standard shipping....only to find out on the very final page it's also $7.99. It's such a shame because the products are beautiful and really well made, so that's why it's at least getting 3 stars. read more

And now after I added my photo for the mug, selected everything, and added my name, email, address, alllll my contact info, etc. it's now saying it's $7.99 for shipping. Incredibly deceiving. Very disappointed with the customer service, which was completely unprofessional. I was inquiring about a promo case that was currently advertised saying TODAY on their own website which was not working. I was told the code was expired (even though it was currently advertised) and was told that it would not apply to a sale price, when the entire site had a sale price at the time. So the code was advertised TODAY but did not work on any order. Also, if you use a promo code or coupon, they increase your shipping cost for the same items. When trying to get help, I repeatedly had my chat disconnected without offering any help. I called, and every single agent was inaudible due to bad connection, and got hung up on. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the supervisor was extremely rude and ended my chat when I was telling him I still needed help.
