I have been trying to get a replacement box of my meds - which were lost - for three weeks. I have left 38 voice messages thru the automatic message on EVERY phone and 1-800 service. The weight loss is easy and pretty much the lazy expensive way to lose weight. Basically take pills and injections and your appetite is gone and energy is up. I've recommended this place to many. It DOES work. Keep in mind if you have health insurance you can submit the claims yourself and maybe get some money back. read more

I was very happy with the staff and service and the doctor. The B12 shots seemed to help with energy. My goal was to lose 10+ pounds; I hit a plateau and the doctor prescribed several medications that did not work for me. He listened carefully and stopped them immediately. After finding that I was not seeming to lose the weight their customer service contacted me and REFUNDED ALL OF MY MONEY!! Unheard of today and I was extremely surprised and pleased. I have been a patient at the Tyson's Corner Clinic for several months now. The price is expensive (you must ask in details otherwise, you'll not have it right) and the clinic does not accept any insurance. At the intake, the finance lady sat down and explained to me the term and fee schedule. She explained to me extremely poorly and obscure. I hope that she does not do this to all patients. The front desk staffs (not the doctors or tech/nurses) are not warm toward me at all. They can embarrass me at times to make me want to quit coming back. The treatment relies on shots and pills. They do work for a short term. For a long term, you have to work hard yourself (eat less calories). It is stricky to cancelling the contract. You have to ask for and sign the cancellation paper 2 months before the cancellation date. It does not count if you just ask for the cancellation verbally. The front desk and the office seem to be well trained to keep patients there as long as possible. read more

This is a great weight loss program that is easy to follow. The entire team is thoughtful and caring and non judge mental. Dr. Coe gives great advice and is helpful through out the process. UPDATE: Since my original post, a lot has changed!! First of all, My Weight Doctor is now operating under Persona Doctors. They have made BIG efforts to turn things around under this new name and they are making great strides. I have not seen the 'offending' individuals since my incident unfolded. The existing receptionist is professional in every sense of the word. It appears the expectations of everyone in the office have been clearly communicated now and the bar is set much higher than it was before. The entire staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. I'm losing weight, slowly but surely, and enjoying my visits to this office each week. I'm officially raising my rating of this organization from 1 star to 3 stars. The only reason I'm reserving a better rating is because I'd like to ensure the improvements I've seen stand the test of time AND have infiltrated the entire company's culture vs just the one person who is now running the front desk so beautifully. I'll update again but in the meantime, anyone who might have been put off by my original rating should know that THE COMPANY SEEMS TO BE DOING A 180* TURNAROUND and I would now suggest you give them a try! If I could give negative stars I would. Persona is awful do not go here it's a scam. My husband and I both cancelled our subscriptions, yet our credit cards were charged several months after cut off date. We called each time inquiring as to why we were being billed. The total is over $2,000 at this point. Spoke with office manager and we were issued a refund, went to cash the check and it was DECLINED. Called office to inform them and manager said to run check again. She apologized said they recently switched banks. Check was declined for the second time. We have now escalated this issue to Corporate. As of today (five months later) we're still fighting for our refund. read more

I came to persona after seeing a friend drop an amazing amount of weight and she highly recommended I try. Just 3 months before my wedding I had my first appointment on May 6th- met with dr got my tests done and about a week later my meds. I have an appt every two weeks to track progress and get refills. Today is July 18 and I have lost about 25 lbs!!! I have 3 weeks to go before my wedding day and I expect to lose another 8 lbs. I work out a lot which helps immensely bit I'm also convinced the B12 shots do a great deal along with the meds and food plan. I love this place! Staff is super friendly, dr is friendly as well, visits are short and sweet. If you have questions they answer them. What it comes down to is you will lose weight if you stick to the program, what more can you ask for? Btw I'm 36 and have a terrible time losing weight! read more

Was a client for 7 months. The only day they got my prescriptions right was the first day as I handed them a check. Sales pitch is for a 3 month cancel notice "because we need to wean you off the drugs, it would be dangerous to just stop." When they screwed up my prescription and said it would be a week to get a new one I complained I was out and I needed them overnighted. They actually said,"It is not a big deal to stop." I asked for my payment forms to be submitted to me so I could bill my insurance and I never got them, to this day. At one point I was so annoyed I asked for a manager. He gave me his e-mail address to deal with him directly. I was e-mailing him for 2 months with no response. I finally asked for his manager and was told that the guy I was e-mailing quit over a month ago. I asked who was handling his e-mails and was told, no one right now. My first day with them I let them know that their emergency after hours number was just ringing busy. 6 months later it was still ringing busy. After I quit them, I went to my personal physician and asked him to just prescribe the drugs that Persona was. My doctor refused and said those are way too dangerous to take. read more

This review is strictly based on my personal experience and personal history. While I am sure this plan works, it did not work for me. I have diagnoses that prohibited me from taking the appetite suppressant I felt I needed. The treatment for the conditions were limited and therefore limited my progress in the program. The formulary medications gave me side effects and at the end of the day, this plan did nothing but cost me a great deal of money. Unfortunately unless you continue with the most expensive plan ($550.00), for the entire 6 months, you will not get any additional lab work. The B12 shots only help if you are vitamin B deficient so those most likely resulted in a placebo effect for me. The MAs on staff are pleasant however, of the two I encountered, only one of them is competent in their clinical assessments. Also make sure you understand that if you cancel your plan before the 6 months (even with 60 days advance notice) they will charge the full amount of the plan before the discount. I was not told that and unfortunately did not see that in the plan until I began the cancellation process. I have since moved to the beLite Medical Center in Fairfax and I am having great success!! If you have no problem with spending a lot of money and have no medical issues that prohibit you from taking the stronger appetite suppressant, this clinic may very well work for you. I just wanted information and their monthly rates are outrageous! I tried to join the weight loss center in Vienna today and made an appointment 2 days out. I received a phone call 30 minutes later stating that time slot was overbooked and could i come later, i said no and asked if there was something available tomorrow, i was put on hold for over 6 minutes and finally hung up. I called back an hour later and said i wanted to cancel my appointment and the lady asked if i wanted to re-book, i said no and she said OK. I then asked for a supervisor or manager and was put on hold for 4 minutes only to hear that we was in a meeting and would call me back...They are now closed for the day and i recieved no call back. if this is how they treat new prospective customers, i don't think i want ot be a "regular" read more

I found the Tyson's office to be extremely friendly and helpful. They were very accommodating to my schedule. I was able to lose weight quickly with their program. It can be a little costly, but I found it to be worth it for my self-esteem after having lost weight. They are careful to check your vitals on each visit and monitor your well-being. I saw the same doctor every visit and he was knowledgeable of my personal plan and goals and always open to any questions. I would highly recommend Persona. read more

This program does what it claims to do. I have MS and am unable to work out or do cardio work. Follow the plan and meds and you loose the weight The staff and doctors are friendly and helpful. A month before the Herndon branch moved, they were going through staff scheduling problems and the phone system was operating sporadically. All centers phones and the call service were working fine, obviously the service in Herndon was not at times, They apologized for the inconvenience. At times the Dr. had scheduling difficulties as he couldn't be at two places at once but was available for video conferencing. I have been off the plan for 8 months and am still at my goal weight. Since starting my program with Persona doctors, I am now down 13 pounds (7 pounds shy of my goal weight). As with most people, I was hesitant to join at first because I have tried so many diet plans that did not work. But the moment I arrived for my appointment, every staff member I encountered was so sincere and welcoming and although it was so busy that day (it was on a Saturday), I noticed that all of the other patients in the waiting area were very upbeat and friendly. 2 of them actually approached me since they saw I was a little nervous and they told me about their success and experience since they started on their programs.
