The concept of this place has so much potential, but unfortunately, it's a just a big red flag. The process was rushed and very impersonal. When I walked into the office I was told to pay $8. I pointed out that I had never been there before and wasn't even sure what the fee was for. The woman then rushed me into a room and took some vitals. She never talked to me about the process or even provided an overview of what to expect during my first visit. I had to ask probing questions to get any information. It was a bit jarring. From there I met with a Nurse Practitioner. She asked a bunch of health questions to determine if I was a candidate for a medical weight-loss drug; this occurred after I told her that I was not interested in taking medication. She said she had to talk to me about it because I may need it in the future. From there, she reviewed my scan results and told me how many calories I needed to consume in a day. I was never asked about my lifestyle, goals, activity levels or what I needed support with. She was not warm or friendly at all. She presented very judgy even though she was overweight herself. Next, as they walked me to the next room, I was told that they were printing my meal plan which was mind-blowing to me because I shared zero details about my diet (vegetarian) and haven't even talked to the dietitian yet. In the room, there was a computer set up with the dietitian who WAS ON ZOOM. Weight loss is personal and should be custom. This was very much a cookie cutter process and felt scam-y. They force you to meet with both the NP and dietitian each session which I'm sure is so they maximize their insurance charges. Stay away. read more

I went today as a new patient and the visit took 2.5 hours. I feel like my time was wasted. They had me fill out intake forms online prior to the visit only to not read them prior to the appointment and ask you the same questions again as if they can't read what you wrote in the intake. Then they had me to wait around and meet with the dietitian via tele-health!!!! I understand this is convenient for the provider, but give me a break... so obvious that they only care about billing the bundled intake rate. I felt insulted by this waste of time!!! read more

BELOW ZERO !!! Profiling obnoxious Doctor - REALLY obnoxious. Asked me to get my mothers medical records (she passed away in 2012) before he would consider writing a prescription. He was very insistent that I meet with him & the person who does meal plans Vs any medication. Rude, distracted, implying he was going to profile me with my cardiologist. Really horrible experience - I left there feeling humiliated, shamed & beaten down - DO NOT GO THERE for a weight loss issue - you will leave feeling worse - he will shame you about the calorie intake - while denying that metabolism has ANYTHING TO DO WITH WEIGHT GAIN OR WEIGHT loss. YES - he actually said metabolism cannot be affected by medications - that only stop eating can help weight loss. ROTTEN experience - really rotten - people like that make you feel terrible. read more

My doc referred me to this practice to get some advice in losing weight. I went for a couple of months and won't be returning. This practice is completely built around the Inbody 570 machine. Nothing more, nothing less. If you know what that is and aren't a fan, this isn't the program for you. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, it's a good starting point. If you're going to a gym that has one, use it if you want and don't bother coming here. Here's the thing. I took up a legit training program during the pandemic, and have been hitting the weights 5 days a week with some low intensity cardio on the weekend and during the day. I built up a decent strength and cardio game, but the pounds have kinda stuck. My gym(s) have used the Inbody machine that this practice uses. they're pretty common place. So, why the two stars: Well, they're in the body composition game as opposed to straight weight loss, so that counts for something. They take insurance, which isn't a given in the weight loss game. Some of their practitioners are really good. I hate to say this, but a lot of them suck and aren't worth what they're getting paid. Let's talk about the aspects of this program I am not a fan of. First, their weight loss program is designed for couch potatos/people with low levels of fitness activity. That's fine, that's what most of us are, and heck my day job has me sitting on my butt. Here's the thing though. I hit the gym five days a week, and the nutritionists absolutely refuse to build that into my meal planning. Second, the calculation inbody uses for BMR (the basis for figuring out how many calories to eat) takes body fat into account but was calibrated on athletes (er, people with low body fat.). I got tired of this stuff and got a real BMR test done in Arlington, and my true BMR reads 20% higher than Inbody's guess. So the nutritionist put me on a 1400 calorie meal plan, when a high protein diet targeting about 1000 more calories is much more appropriate. I tried talking to the nutritionist about that, and she didn't want to hear it. I was pretty much told that if I wasn't willing to go along with the 1400 calorie diet, there was no point in continuing with the practice. IMHO the two stars is warranted for that. I should be able to get nutrition advice customized to *my* individual needs. If they're unwilling to do that, they need to screen for it during intake and say "thank you for coming, but this is the couch potato program, and isn't right for you." Second, Inbody has its issues, and being a slave to it can give misleading results. I made it clear I hate that thing, but nope, Inbody it is. TL;DR. This program is centered around the Inbody machine, and people who live a couch potato life style. If you're going to a gym that has this machine, this program isn't doing anything that your gym won't do. They definitely will not put you on a program geared toward somebody with an active lifestyle. Protip: If you have a decent fitness program but aren't losing weight, jack up your protein intake big time. read more

I have been going here for about 3 years. Everything was great at first, and I really liked the nutritionists and nurse practitioners I interacted with as well as Dr. Suri. Recently, much to my dismay, the flexibility and ability to fit monthly appointments into my schedule was slowly taken away. They started insisting that telehealth was no longer allowed and that I had to come in and pay extra to use their body composition scale. I made an arrangement with one of the NPs to come in every 3rd month in person. My last appointment was the worst: I had to schedule somewhat last minute due to an upcoming trip out of town, and booked a telehealth appointment with Dr. Chaudhary. Worst provider I've seen in my life! She insisted that I come in person unless it was an emergency. When I tried to explain that I had recently moved and the closest office was an hour's drive and that it was too much to come each month, she cut me off. When you hear a doctor start a sentence "Well, I'm the owner of the practice..." run as fast as you can. Dr. Chaudhary showed me no compassion or empathy, and did not make me feel heard. I have never felt more disrespected during a medical appointment. Do yourself a favor and stay away. read more

There are three aspects to your visit here: you get weighed on an InBody scale ($6 fee NOT covered or billed to insurance), a nurse practitioner visit (billed as a primary care doctor) and a nutritionist/dietician visit (billed as a regular dietitian). In between each visit, you sit in the waiting room. This practice is essentially triple dipping and getting paid three times. I didn't realize this until after three visits, my insurance company reached out. DO NOT GO HERE!!! I have had a long weight loss journey and was excited when I first met with Dr. Chaudhary. However my first appointment was 1 hour and 20 minutes later than scheduled (and I missed an important work meeting). However, I was excited to get on this journey and rolled with the delay, the entire appointment took over two hours! Fast forward to my approval to be on Ozempic and I was looking forward to my 2 week follow up and weigh in (feeling great btw!). Unfortunately, I took the wrong exit off of the I-66 Express lane and ended up in a traffic jam causing a delay in my arrival. My scheduled time was 915am and I arrived at 935am (20 min late). And while I recognized my delay and understand they have "policies", I cannot continue working with a practice that doesn't practice timely visits themselves yet have the expectation on patients that 20 min requires a re-schedule (not to mention I paid almost $25 in tolls to get there). Also, my husband was using this practice and also had a negative experience with scheduling, they are trying to fit in too many patients and aren't invested in each patient's journey. Bottom line, I would caution anyone with this practice as they don't care about the schedules of their clients and will literally pass you over and waste your time as long as they can charge a late/cancellation fee. I recommend this practice as long as you avoid one of the unprofessional nurse practitioners there. I was really happy with everyone there but was treated so poorly by one of the providers that I never went back. It's unfortunate that someone so newly licensed would have such aggressive bedside manner. The nutritionist witnessed it but her hands were tied as she valued her job and didn't seem to want to intervene. read more

Coming from a history of weight gain and constant fluctuations through out my life, I felt heard and understood. My NP Julia listened to my concerns about medications and the red tape I encounter from my insurance. We came up with a good plan for me based on my history and concerns. I of course ran into issues with insurance and after a lot of back and fourth and good advocacy on behalf of the clinic, everything worked out. Clariza (I'm sorry if I got that name wrong) helped me navigate through the red tape and was able to get everything squared away, which alleviated a lot of anxiety. Can't wait to continue treatment. read more
