This is my go to massage place in the area - highly recommend. Clean, usually has availability, and is good quality.

New store in Olney, will be going there again. Nice and clean rooms, with good massage.

~ LASHES REVIEW ~ So…read moreas previously mentioned, I caved and got megavolume lash extensions here. Now I'm addicted and have to get them forever. It's a blessing and a curse. My first lashes appointment was with Fernanda and they looked great, but they all fell out when I went on vacation and my face was assaulted by the wind and salt water of the Pacific - I also didn't know you have to wash them to prevent oily buildup, so yeah. I came back two weeks later with literally no extensions left and had to pay for a full set all over again rather than a touch-up. I do wish they had told me about needing to wash them, because I really wasn't provided with the full aftercare instructions the first time I got them. But, now I know. They sell a special foam wash and gentle applicator for the soap here, which I recommend purchasing. My second session was with Viktoriia, who is absolutely incredible. Mynx & Inks is definitely out of the way if you live in DC, but it's worth it for the fair pricing and amazing quality.

Wish I could give zero stars. The owner is the worst. I scheduled an appointment first thing in the…read moreAM and rang the doorbell since the store wasn't opened. I waited at least 30 minutes and when she finally showed she tried to blame me for being late. But more importantly they use so much glue on my lashes that it made my lashes brittle. I noticed my lashes kept breaking so I stopped going. Now I go to Sen Lashes. Not only is Sen Lashes super gentle on my lashes but the owner is super sweet and accommodating.

I had a very good experience yesterday Dr. Lashes…read more On a whim I decided I wanted lashes for a trip to Belize. I had only previously gotten nail salon lashes so way less so I was expecting a similar experience but closer to home in Virginia. I WAS SO WRONG. I got a hybrid set that took two hours. It's in between a classic and volume application. I believe the owner herself did it as she said she teaches as well. I got curled lashes that were only a little bit longer than my own (straight, nice length, doesn't curl and doesn't have a ton of volume). The application was done so thoroughly and its funny I cannot even feel the lashes. I forget they're there. I don't have a fear my real lashes will rip out either as with nail salon lashes. I was given a little lash brush for grooming as well which I never got before. I highly recommend. So excited to be 'ready roll' for my trip. Pro Tip: There's a first timer discount and also you get a coupon if you check in on the Yelp! app.

I didn't think anything of it at the time but it's possible she may have been distracted. At first I loved my results and the way my lashes looked. 5 days after my appointment and I've already lost a significant amount of my lashes. I use the spooly she gave me to touch my lashes up in the morning and they just fall right out. I waited 30 hours before getting them wet. I'm honestly very disappointed considering how much I paid for this service.

The walls are paper thin so anyone walking in will be heard walking, talking, and that bell on the door will surely get your attention. Nevermind Lily at the front Desk will answer the phone while services are going on and the ENTIRE conversation will be heard. Now we came Valentine's day for a 90 minutes couple's Massage. As we walked through the door we noticed it wasn't your normal entrance and the lady from down the hall yelled "hi you here for massage", I was afraid to yell back because I wasnt sure services were in session in any of the rooms but we quietly said yes. The only person that understood a little English was Lily but that was starined quite a bit. She took us back down the hall to the room next to the door we came into. Two women were standing there so naturally I assumed they're our therapist but didn't understand a bit of English AT ALL, just kept smiling and talking to eachother. We are used to being asked medical history or are there any injuries we should know about and what areas of focus we wanted. NONE OF THIS WAS ASKED FROM BOOKING TO ENTERING!! 1ST Red flag! We got in the room and was rushed into it but I stopped them to ask "Aren't you interested in what we would like to focus on and any injuries we may or may not have. They didn't understand a bit of what I said and even pulled out a phone for us to speak into to translate, yet they still didn't understand!! I asked Lily to communicate with Luna and Amy about what we were looking for because they didn't understand anything at all and she just kept saying "yes I know you want a massage to relax" but she didnt understand anything we were saying about it either, like how we didn't want any deep tissue or heavy pressure at all, so I gave up per my partners request to just go with it and hope for the best. 2ND REDFLAG- Not sure if anyone noticed the signs on the doors behind the robes which spoke of this place being subject to police searches etc but we didnt until the end. We got undressed and on the table where we had to put a folded up sheet over us once laying down and no one told us to face up or down to begin with so we chose face down. There's no music in the room at all, in which was asked for and we were told to listen to the music that plays in the hallway, I muzzled myself and just kept quiet. You can hear every single car, truck and mortcycle passing by on the road out front which again is why I was hoping for music in this room would help but nope! It was about 20 minutes or more before the sheet on our backs was ever removed to massage because prior to that I felt like she was walking around the table pinching and pushing on areas to kill some time and nothing more. I'm certified in several types of services in which one is Shiatsu and that wasn't it.... then once she pulled the sheet back half of my butt was uncovered to the middle of my butt crack and I looked over at my partner so was hers.THIS IS NOT NORMAL PRACTICE, as a matter of fact therapist are supposed to ask for comfort levels, if they wish for certain areas to be worked on or not, but in this case with none English speaking ladies we were at their mercy! It was soooo uncomfortable at times that I almost got up several times and stopped the session. I didn't to let my partner continue. Later I would come to findout hers was horrible the entire time just as mine because they used elbows everywhere, even in places they aren't supposed to like your Spine, crossing over bones, tendons and certain areas of the neck. My therapist had the audacity to interrupt what she was doing on my back to ask me if I wanted cupping but couldn't explain it in english in order for me to understand so she went and got the flyer showing pictures of it and I said NO. 3rd RED FLAG.In massage there is always a slight chance of soreness to be expected ONLY AFTER certain tyoes of services, not after a Swedish relaxing massage session that was supposed to be for us!!
