But, this branch is away from all that. It's a bit hidden away and just across Ace Hotel. Since day one of eating here with Carlo, we practically almost, always order the same thing: We order their Keema with Buttered Rice, Kofta Balls (if they are available), and the Kebab Platter which already has the beef and chicken kebabs! On lucky days, there will be Ox Brain and you must try it! I promise you. It is delicious. Don't forget to pour on the garlic sauce and you have an awesome meal that is super affordable and fills you up real good. :) Ambience-wise, well, don't expect much. It really is not fancy. Also, there are only 4 tables inside and 4 table outside. But, give this place a chance. Oh, the beers are cheap too!

Everything said about the chicken kebab is true, so incredibly good with the salsa and white sauce. You don't have to be drunk to appreciate the goodness. Just a word of caution, this isn't a fancy place with amazing interiors. It's very simple with about 4-5 tables indoors and 4 tables outdoors. I will definitely be back for the kebabs though and to try the other stuff in the menu.

The Ortigas branch of this formerly Quezon Avenue (now West Avenue) staple, Mr. Kabab can easily…read moresatisfy your desire for great-tasting Middle Eastern cuisine. While people only familiar with the original branch may be taken aback by the prices, these are at par for the area and mostly justified given the consistently high quality of the dishes. Keema is definitely the highlight of the menu for me, with Chelo Kabab (in beef and chicken variants) running a very close second. Don't forget to lay the garlic sauce (in the white squeeze bottle) on thick over your rice and mains. The hot sauce is sufficiently spicy, so heat-adverse individuals are advised to go easy on this one. While not as big as the West Avenue branch, the Ortigas location remains suitably sizable for even very large groups. Nevertheless, lunchtime (especially on a Friday) often sees the place packed, especially when school is in (Mr. Kabab is opposite the University of Asia and the Pacific and in close proximity to Tektite Towers , which houses many offices). Dinner doesn't usually provide any problem. The establishment is fully air-conditioned, so you might end up smelling like food if the place is full. Smoking is not allowed; you'll have to head downstairs and find the large green ashtray for that. A sink for hand-washing is present, but for a full toilet, you'll have to use the building's facility, which often leaves much to be desired in terms of cleanliness.
