I've been going to Perry's Auto Repair for over 20 years. When I first moved back to the area, I asked a few technicians at a local dealership where they would send their wives, mothers, or sisters, and without hesitation, they said Perry's. That recommendation has been spot-on. Jose took over a couple of years ago, and I can confidently say he's honest, fair, and incredibly competitive with his pricing. I recommend Perry's to everyone I know. And if you have a mechanic who can't track down an issue, Jose is your guy. read more

UNFAIR pricing I called for a quote on a single textbook repair. And they quoted me a price double what the dealership quoted . Reason given is that the dealership must have priced it with aftermarket prices and Perry's only uses oem parts read more

I have been going to Perrys for 13 years. Byron was always very fair and has saved me lots of $$ over the years by doing what was needed, and not was was "recommended" as the dealers say. Jose is the new owner and was the main mechanic for 20 years ish prior. Still provides great service and I still continue to take my daughters car there. read more

Could not be any happier with the service of owner Jose. He made my 2000 Honda Accord look as good as new. He was caring, had great communication throughout, did fantastic work, and was there for me on a few times to put me at ease that my new lights were working as they should. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I had THE WORST experience here! I got a quote for part and labor for a brake booster, and informed him I got paid Friday and would provide payment then. He acted like it was no big deal and offered that I could even do it over the phone. As I promised I called Friday morning and provided payment. HE CHARGED MY CARD THREE TIMES! Which left me stranded at a rental car place 10 mins later because my card declined due to him charging my card three times. After HOURS of talking to my bank and his credit card company to get it at least two of the charges credited back (which I should of had all three and run for the hills at this point). Then everyone kept saying, at the least have him pay for your rental for the day. At first he said no and that it wasn't his fault. Finally he came and paid for one day. Big whoop $35. Which he made a huge deal about. He confirmed part was ordered that day. I checked in daily after to see if there were updates on part cuz he said he was so sorry for what happened and would "rush" getting the part. Part comes 4 days later and I'm able to finally get my car in to be fixed. I kindly ask if he'd be willing to let me pay a chunk now and a chunk tomorrow. He freaks out, interrupts me, won't let me speak, starts lecturing me like I'm a child, making me cry and so upset. Narcissistic behavior. Saying he's done everything and I'm a problem customer and on and on. I can't believe how rude and disrespectful he was to me. Now I gotta pray my car is actually fixed and no other issues arise after it's been worked on here. read more

Byron Perry with Perry's Auto Service is quick & efficient with figuring out challenges with vehicles. Even though I recently replaced my light bulbs, the low beams still were not working. All it took was a couple hours and they found the root of my problem ... the electrical connections to my bulbs were loose. Byron and his team fixed my Toyota Prius the same day! He also offers COMPLETE mechanical repair on BMW, Mazda, Toyota, Nissan and domestic cars. Byron is very knowledgeable and most importantly HONEST & TRUSTWORTHY!!! read more

AVOID THIS PLACE!!! Owner tries to add on additional services you "might need" and when you ask questions he gets rude and angry and says "I Dont need your business you can take it somewhere else" Very defensive and NOT PROFESSIONAL Take your car anywhere else!!! read more

They say trust is gained, over time, as an accumulation of experiences. Well, this is no different. I've known the owner for many years and used his services on my family's cars. This shop is 100% first class, honest, and frankly, sets the bar in their space. I recommend Perry's, without hesitation. read more

Great and friendly service. They beautified my car several times quickly and beautiful. Good value.

I'm definitely a fan of Byron(owner) and the guys at Perry's auto. I've taken my car to his shop for almost 4 years now. I like cars but I wouldn't say I'm a car guy. I put my keys in the ignition, punch the pedal and my car goes...usually 80 miles per on a traffic free day. I know how to do some of the basics; I can change a tire in a pinch, I've changed the oil but only grudgingly and other than that I'd rather turn over my car to someone else; for a long time, it was the dealer I met Byron at a business function and he made an impression on me. I think he is a genuine person who is clear and articulate(especially about cars). His shop services Japanese and BMW's vehicles. I take my car to him for all of my major check ups and repairs. I just don't trust anyone else. Also, I know that I'm saving at least 25% from the what the dealer would charge for the same service. That's not as much an issue for me as time. I'm not there ALL DAY ! I make my appointment, everything is spelled out, and they don't do the whole "car speak " thing like some shops enjoy doing. Most importantly to me, I get out quickly ready to drive to my next adventure. If you don't want to have an adventure with your car service concerns. If you want a shop that explains everything to you in plain simple language, that's staffed with friendly reliable people than you want to take your car(Japanese or BMW) to Perry's read more

I just moved to the Conejo Valley and my "Check Engine" light popped on a week later. I took my 18 year old car here and was hoping for the best. Well, I got it. My car was analyzed in an hour and repaired in two. The price was surprisingly fair and it runs better than it did before I took it to Byron. I was actually considering junking it and buying a new car, but now I'm confident I can a get a few more years out of it. This guy is legit. I'm glad he's right down the street, but even if he isn't, it's worth the drive for a competent and honest mechanic. read more

Byron is the best. I would send anyone to Byron. He is a trusted mechanic that will find the problem and fix it. He will guide you throught the fix in case you have any questions and he does not get uptight about your questions. This kind of service is hard to find in these days. read more

12 stars if i could!!! My daughter had her car at Ford for a "broken" cable. They wanted $600 to repair it- Being a single mom, she could no way have afforded that. She took it down to Perrys and was told "I would be embarrased to sell you a new cable-there is nothing wrong with it" he tightened it and sent her on her way- NO CHARGE! The world needs more people like this! RIGHT ON Perrys!! read more

High quality work at a fair price, and excellent service too. What more can you ask for? I found Perry's Auto on Yelp 3 years ago & I've been going there ever since. Byron & his team kept my Ford running smooth past 200k miles until I finally traded it. Now he takes care of my new car and my wife's car too. FYI - The shop is hidden from the street, so you'll have to look for Tire Pros and pull in to the back lot. read more

I've been bringing my vehicles to Perry's for years. He is honest, an excellent mechanic and is reasonably priced. I have referred my mother, sister, bother and friends, they have all been extremely happy with the service. I have a truck with over 300,000mi that they have kept running like new. I wouldn't take my vehicles anywhere else. Highly recommended read more

Byron and his staff are the BOMB!!! I thought I was doomed when my car was running bad. He was calm got the part for me told me my car would be ready at a certain time and it was!! They were nice, efficient and friendly highly recommend this place!! read more

Absolutely horrible service Byron is the worst shop owner I have met yet! This shop deserves no stars at all! They will lie to you saying that they will warranty their work and when something goes wrong and you take your car back to them they claim that that portion of the car is not covered by the "warranty" I speak from experience because it happened to me. Byron told me that parts from my engine were not covered in the "warranty" he had on the entire engine! Now does that make any sense to you at all?? This place is horrible!! Do a little more research and find a place that will do legitimate work and service!! read more

I am looking for a mechanic that can care for my Mini (I have had to use Bob Smith in Calabasas, and all I can say is RUN do not walk away from that option). I called Byron today to see if he could help me, and he said he isn't able to do the big maintenance the car might need, but was happy to refer me to another mechanic. What a great guy. I am a fan. read more

Perry and his crew are awesome! They took my truck in for a small stalling issue and did an oil change and charged me an extremely fair amount. Plus i got my truck back within hours! Highly recommended! read more

Finally, an old fashioned mechanic. Byron has worked on both my wife's car and my own and done a great job. My wife's car needed a muffler and he charged me exactly what the muffler guy wanted for the repair. Then when we needed an engine overhaul he got it done and the car has been problem free. read more

Byron at Perry's Automotive is the most Honest and Fair Automotive Repair Technician / Shop Owner I have ever been in contact with. My whole family brings their cars there for service. Beats the High Priced Dealer Services - Every time. He and his staff are No Nonsense People. read more

We love Perry's. The owner is a great guy! His mechanics do a great job. We have several drive-em-til-they-drop (and they're almost dead) cars and they keep them humming. We always pass smog tests! Once my husband did some work on the exhaust system and, since he is not Mr. Mechanical, the next time we took the car in I called and asked Byron (Perry) to take a look and see if anything my husband worked on needed attention. I told him I didn't care if he told my husband I called, just told my husband what needed to be done, or pretended to find the issue himself, but to look at it. He did and just told my husband what needed a little tweaking, and fixed it with my husband's okay. Additionally, other times when I have heard noises in the car my husband can't hear (because he doesn't drive it all the time), I tell Byron and he doesn't treat me like a moron, which is great. read more

Horrible and dishonest. I purchased a timing belt and water pump and they only replaced the timing belt and I had it proven to me over and over again by all and dealership included. When I called the owner Byron on it he was very defensive trying to put the blame on others and he never offered a way to honestly fix the situation and make it right again. I will never never never take my car to Perry's again, talk about taking advantage of a young married couple with limited resources Go to Skyline on T. O. Blvd Tony and Glenn are awesome! read more

0 stars if I could.... Byron's a hack and won't back up his work... My girlfriend bought a civic off of him that he was doing an engine rebuild on ... He takes forever and blamed the machine shop for not having the motor in time it took him almost 2 months to "get the motor back form the machine shop" but when I asked the dudes at the machine shop they said it had been done weeks before and that he just hadn't picked it up ........ Fast forward like a year the timing belt broke (on a freshly rebuilt engine or so I was told) so I took it to my buddy that owns a shop down the street and he told me that thru out the motor there where missing bolts and the timing chain and tensioner were reused from the previous rebuild and in those breaking it bent all of the valves ... So about 2G's later and the cars running great ..... I wouldn't take my car to Byron if it was the last choice seriously amazing how hacks like these can stay in business read more

These guys are the best! They just saved me $2000 in repairs on my 2002 Sequoia! Thousand Oaks Toyota told me I needed a master cylinder and power booster, and I took it to Perry's for a second opinion, where they told me there was nothing wrong with those parts. They did the other repairs in a quickly and efficiently. It's nice to have a mechanic I can trust! read more

It took forever for my car to get worked on. I had to call constantly to see if my car was being worked on. He was going to over charge me x amount of dollars for a part to be replaced. When I finally got my car back, the old piece was sitting on the floor on the passenger side. Everything was left a mess in my car. read more
