Kyle at Freds Auto is a great Mechanic. Very professional, knows his craft! Took 2009 Chevy Silverado to him and he diagnosed and fixed the problem in no time. I have been taking my 2010 Prius to Mike since I bought it in 2015. A recommendation from the car lot where I bought the car. Always very honest, and trustworthy, never overcharges. While Mike was out this fall, I had to bring my car to the TO Toyota dealership for an oil change, and $400 dollars later...... This weekend I heard a noise and took my car over this morning. Kyle has taken over the shop. He saw right away that when the dealership did my oil change, they didn't latch up the flap underneath my car, and it was dragging on the ground. Do not bring any of your vechicles to this auto repair shop Mike one of the mechanic is not only rude and disrespectful to female customers but he also will over charge you for parts and will forget to install back all parts once he claims it's fixed. He will also charge you for repairs you never asked for or authorize. 3 moths later after replacing my oil pan for $800.00 my oil light is back on at min alert. When contacting Mike the mechanic he made excuses as to the car uses oil and I should go get more oil and fill it back up. As if I didn't pay for this to be fix 3 months ago. What an amazing experience with Kyle at Fred's Auto Service!!! This was our first time with Kyle, as he was recommended to us by our daughter!! Kyle was so welcoming when we arrived. He went over the highlights as to how he would replace the shocks on our car. We also needed a oil change, and after he did the 1000 point inspection on our car, he called us to let us know that the back brakes were at 20%, and advised us that we could wait til the next oil change, but we decided to have him replace the pads now, rather than wait!! Every estimate was sent via Text, which I loved!!! Prices are reasonable!!! He gave us an end time as to when he would be finished, and We received a call at 2:30 pm... as promised!!! Upon arriving back to the shop, Kyle showed us all the parts that came out of our car, including the air filter that a mouse decided to make its home, and 1/4 of the filter was eaten away!! lol My husband and I felt very at ease leaving our car with our "new mechanic" Kyle is professional, only recommends what is needed for the car, no upsale at all! Fred's Auto Service was highly recommended by a friend when I went there for air condition service. I was not disappointed. Mike, who exemplifies honest and quality professional service diagnosed the malfunctioning air conditioner and expertly fixed it so that I felt like I was driving from there a car with a NEW air conditioner. I went home so relieved and happy that I did NOT have to pay the unreasonable huge QUOTE of the first mechanic I visited for an estimate. Mike charged me an amount that made me exclaim with joy and I thanked him profusely for his rare honesty. I returned to Mike for the replacement of my right-view mirror that I broke, hurriedly backing out of my driveway. When I paid for the bill, he charged me twenty dollars less than his QUOTE. We recently had our SUV looked at by Fred's Auto Service. I thought there was a lifter problem and prepared for a huge bill. They took their time and ran an additive through the engine several times and the problem was fixed. I was so thrilled that they saved me money. I decided to have the timing belt and water pump replaced since it was time to do so anyway. While performing the work they noticed that the water pump was newer than originally thought and only replaced the belt further saving me money. It is refreshing to find an honest mechanic and I will only use them for my auto work in the future. I will also recommend them to all of my friends and family. read more

The A/C had not been working for a few years and was a mess. We had to have the compressor, accumulator, and tensioner replaced on our 2003 Suburban. We knew that it would be problematic. After replacing those parts, Mike had us take the car home and then bring it back to top off the coolant. After running it a few days, the compressor would stop working even when the car had not been cool. We took it back. Mike wanted to make sure that it was right and told us to bring it back if there were any other problems. Took it on a road trip and once again the compressor wasn't switching on. We went back, Mike found the problem with the harness and corrected it no charge. Other than the original labor, we were only charged for parts. Fred's was recommended to me for their good service. I took my '96 Corolla to them when it wouldn't start. Mike suspected that the problem was somewhere in the ignition system, but after a week of looking, they still couldn't identify it and I had to take it to a Toyota dealer. Well, the dealer also had a tough time troubleshooting it, and it was almost a week later before I got the car back running. For all of his diagnostics, Mike didn't charge me a dime, for which I am grateful. I plan to try him again next time my car needs service.
