Great inexpensive Stay and Play golf experience! The staff were super friendly, whether in the Pro Shop or in the Dining Hall. 3 nine hole courses that are well kept and challenging enough, a decent place to stay (hotel or Home) and Breakfast & Dinner buffets to fill your belly (all included). Leaving a quick short review that I will edit and add to this weekend. I just came back from a two day one night stay at Perry Park golf resort in Kentucky and had a fairly good time and was mostly happy with everything. Our group of 12 guys encountered. I'm kind of shocked to see the really bad reviews from quite a long time ago six 810 years on this place What was described by many in the bad reviews we did not experience Absolutely there are no bad attitude Course marshals pushing play or be rude or disrespectful to golfers Everyone and I mean everyone that we encountered that was part of staff whether it's housekeeping groundskeepers anyone in the pro shopper, smaller restaurant and especially all the girls and staff working in the main banquet restaurant we're all super friendly very efficient at their job I've golfed at some of the nicest golf courses in North America and North Scottsdale Arizona at private courses. This is not anywhere close to there as in nothing is close to the private club in North Scottsdale. The golf course was in very nice shape nicely mowed. The greens were a tad bit slow, but they're very consistently slow. You have to learn to putt on a slower speed green, by making adjustments just like you have to make adjustments on a green that could be much speedier. This was my first trip to Perry Park under the recommendation from a coworker who goes yearly. We stayed for three nights four days with a load of golf. The hotel workers were very nice and helpful have zero complaints with them. The food was alright but definitely not worthy of much reviewing in my opinion so ill stay away from that one. The final thing id like to bring up is that every morning we had a tee time at 8:30 am right. Every morning wed get up go get breakfast and by 7:30 every morning we would be rushed to get on the tee box and go. Go go go go. It didnt ever seem like anyone but us were being rushed and to set a tee time for a certain time and be pushed to get off an hour or half hour early is a but aggressive. The last day was the final straw some big back idiot sent us off the whitetail side had to get off 25 minutes earlier for whatever bs reason and he sent us straight up the ass of some sub par players. This being our last day ya know leaving right agter golf we were a bit frustrated that after the first hole of waiting 15 minutes to tee off the second hole we waited 15 more the tbird we waited 20 mins so we decided to skip some holes and avoid a 6 hour round and late trip back. Ol bug back boy didnt like that and ran out to question us about it too no responsibility of sending us up people asses and we were the wrong ones. So with that we told him wed just leave the course entirely and skip our last round. Like i said it was a nice course and all of that enjoyed it for the most part but the fact that we had to rush everywhere just to be way early of a tee time weve had in place for months that kind of steers me away from coming back. Your couse rangers ruined our experience with the bs their might have been one young guy with sick tats that was awesome and one guy from Covington who was great the rest are dickheads and that big back guy on the last day you have no reason being there if thats the type of service you give people, you were very rude very pushy and had quite the attitude when told you were in the wrong. Customers always right pal dont forget. Might be back might not if we do though we will definitely make sure no one rushes our time at all. read more

It's great that there is a restaurant for breakfast and dinner and some of the food is good. it's used to be much better. The golf course (27 holes), is a nice layout but it's spoiled by the upkeep. They hardly ever go over the greens so they are some of the slowest ever. Most courses at least suck up the water off the greens and these have a ton from the fog they get here. Most golfers want at least medium speed greens but you don't get that at Perry park. We played a scramble and 4 pretty good golfers were putting downhill and none of us could get the ball to the hole. I'm sure they have the equipment but they don't use it. about all they do is cut the grass every Monday or something. The rough is pretty high also but I've seen worse. I like Perry Park but they gotta fix those greens. It's no fun putting on them at all. read more

The course is nice, however the service is awful. The rangers follow you all around and are extremely rude. The clubhouse staff is even worse. They shut everything down before it's even dark so they can go home, they could care less if you want to play more holes on a freaking golf trip. Perry Park Is a beautiful setting and golf course, but the facility and food need upgrading. The food is over processed and strictly buffet style. It's a dry county so bring your own. No resort perks. Pretty much a good ol' boys club. Beds are hard. read more

First of all, this is a beautiful place to look at, and the food staff could not be more pleasant and accommodating. Everything goes down hill from there. This is becoming the golf trip from hell and getting worse every year. Old hotel rooms with (off and on) Cold water showers, and some with no bathroom counter, no electrical outlets, with toilets and showers for midgets Freezing rooms with too much air conditioning and no thermostat to change the temps Really old CRT style TV with partially working remote Poor cell phone service (especially at&t) Declining food quality Deteriorating cart paths Ridiculously deep (some 6") difficult heavy rough, where one could easily get injured trying to extricate themselves from that rough. (I believe that I did break my wrist, and had to quit golf with 2 days to go, but no refunds) Bring dozens of balls because the rough is so thick you cannot find your ball unless you are standing directly above the ball in the rough, even just a foot or so off the greens. Several in our group were very concerned that they had not brought enough balls. I am a 19 handicap, but I have averaged a 29 handicap at Perry Park. It is just foolishness. They simply do not have enough equipment and staff to keep up with all of the rough. They have nasty rude people at hotel/pro shop with attitude, and rude rangers with attitude (Barney Fife) Very rigid policies Make no mistake about it; this is basically a golf factory. The only goal is have as many golfers play as much golf as possible every single hour of every day, and there are several Barney Fifes roaming the course to make sure no golf is lost under any circumstances. All concentrations are on getting more golf instead of the golfers enjoyment. If the grounds are wet, they limit carts to the path, and the Barney Fife rangers expect you to do all of that extra walking but play at the same pace as usual, and don't you dare get even one hole behind ever. It's like you are part of a chain gang with big brother watching your every move. We had a contract with tee times, and on the last day there, they came into the dining room and said, you guys are supposed to be on the tee. So, the contract stated tee time at 8:40. We showed them the contract. They said basically "whatever, you need to get to the tee". Many had not finished breakfast and had not finished packing to go home. Again, not our fault, but Barney Fife did not care who's fault it was, get your shit and get out there. Again, no concern for the golfers, only the golf factory must keep on rolling. No refund policy, if it rains you they make you go play in the rain to keep that factory rolling, (unless there is lightening), or you just get rain check for next year. If you have an emergency, or get sick or injured, it's the same policy, rain checks for next year. We are a group of 24 that has been going for years. We have had enough and will start looking to go elsewhere next year. read more

Very accommodating resort. We stayed in one of the houses and it could've only been 2-3 years old. Very nice for 8 guys. Four beds and a full bath in each bedroom. You can keep your carts in the garage. Housekeeping cleaned and made beds each day. Ideal situation for a trip. Living area and kitchen very spacious. The clubhouse, dining area could use a facelift but the food/buffet was good. We didn't stay in the hotel area but it looked dated as well. Only an extra $50 per man to get a house. Do it. Courses were good. All were in good shape. Not 5 star courses but definitely good enough for a spring trip in late March. A few challenging holes and the greens were in good shape. After 18 holes we played as many as we wanted at no extra cost. We did a 3-day 2-night trip with 7 guys. I would go back. Staying in one of the houses is a must. read more

Great place for an outing with a group of friends. (3) nine hole courses that are nice to play. I have been going with a group on an annual basis for 5 years. The accommodations are similar to a Red roof style of a hotel. Not fancy by any means but clean and comfortable. The food is buffet style, but tasty and served by people that know how to handle large crowds. The price is very reasonable. They also have a pool which is not fancy, but nice to have on a hot afternoon after golf. The closest town with a grocery store and alcohol is approximately 10 minutes away in Carrolton. They have a few restaurants in addition to the fast food places. A decent size Walmart is also in the town. read more
