Their practice of not having an employee who customers meet face-to-face and instead using text/email for entrance instructions is probably off-putting for some (it initially was for me), but their system works just fine. A few of the older light fixtures were dodgy. There are dining options just down Main street in Madison. We had a meal in town. Typically we stay for more than one night and the town seemed nice enough for a longer stay. JLD Lanier owner architect of this B&B and also the Lanier Mansion. Unfortunately we did not have time to stop by that historic site. The house has some history as a stop on the Underground RR according to the innkeeper. The walls are rough wood with customer chalk graffiti all over it and floors have quarters glued to the floor. Beer and shots are reasonably priced. The most expensive shot is 5 bucks.
