When I have communicated with Stuart at this location twice he assured me he would be starting on the repairs at the end of the week and both times he recanted his statement after saying whether he had all the parts or not he would start tearing down and start small repairs. I'm not very satisfied with the service at this location. They also have poor communication with each other. We agreed on a date when we my wife and I could get by with only one cars for three days. On the agreed day, a Wednesday, my wife and I drove two cars to their shop. First, they couldn't find our car on their schedule (so no workers were standing by to fix our damage). However, they did see that parts had been ordered (thereby saying I wasn't making this up). It became clear they were going to keep the car over the weekend and into the next week. They made excuses - delay not their fault. I took my car elsewhere.

I took the car into the dealer and they would only quote me the price for a complete replacement of the front bumper cover - which was over $1000 with parts/labor - and they said we would have to leave it with them for at least a week. My wife and I were not interested in spending that kind of money at this point, as the bumper cover was still in tact... it just kept falling off. After reading previous reviews on Yelp for Central MO Auto Body, we decided to give them a try. I could not have been more impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. My car was evaluated and taken back into the shop within 5 minutes of walking through the door. They returned my car to me in less than half an hour with the front bumper cover firmly reattached, and they did not charge me a penny because it was a simple fix! I cannot recommend these folks higher. I plan to return here if I ever have any other auto body issues.

I paid 450 dollars when I picked up my vehicle, and asked again to double vhdck they used the dealer part, They informed me it was th part I requested. Low and behold I broke down again, this time the 1st day of vacation 600miles away from columbia. At 1st they refused to help me unless I towed the vehicle 600 miles back to columbia. Fortunately my boyfriend works for plaza tire and went to talk to MD Trans. to make the situation right by them paying for my vehicle to be repaired at the firestone across the street where I was. When I got the receipts together, Firestone had only charged me 320 total while MD charged me 450 total. I was also then informed an autozone non -dealer part was put on instead of the part I had requested before service and when I paid for service. Not only did MD Transmission lie and take my money, they tried to leave me stranded while keeping my money and over charged me 150 dollars for a part I didnt ask for. Also my clutch pedal wasnt the same when I picked it up the 1st time and the tried to say it was normal. When the car was brought to them, they were told there was no oil in the car and they knew not to start the engine and drive the car. The repair was supposed to take 3 weeks but instead took 7 weeks because they ordered the wrong parts. When I picked up the car, I directly asked Kevin Shopher, the shop manager, did you ever start or drive the car without oil and he assured me no, they would never do that and they know that could damage the engine. When I got the car home, I checked my dashcam to be sure that was true and it turns it was a lie. Not only that, but Kevin himself is on my dashcam joking about how the car "runs good without no oil". When I went back and asked him about this, he changed his story and said maybe they did drive it without oil but its no big deal because there was still residual oil in the engine. Engines need pressurized oil, not just residual oil and running the car without oil even for a minute can cause significant wear on the internals.

Complaint 10. No respect for veterans or customers. No veteran discounts. Complaint 11. I still need to clean the spots that Gaines "Detail" missed. Event Details On Wednesday, Oct 6, 2021, I drove my car to Gaines Car Detailing to get a price estimate on it. The owner quoted me for $85 on 10/6/2021, stating there was no veteran discount because his rates stayed the same for everyone. I made an appointment for Friday, Oct 8, 2021, at 9 am and arrived on time. I called for an update on my car estimated completion time and was only told they would call me. They called me late at 255pm according to my phone logs. Accordingly, to my phone record, the receptionist called me once more at 344pm. I was already nearby so I arrived at 346pm due to an appointment. Upon arrival, the receptionist showed me a receipt for $95. I told her I was quoted $85. She stated it was just $10. Upon hearing this I asked if I could talk to the owner to make it right. She went to look for the owner but then came back stating he was not at the shop but out driving. I asked the receptionist to have the owner call me. I also asked her what would you like me to do regarding payment? She responded by holding her hand out asking for my car key back. I told her I would just pay it now and have the owner settle it with me upon his call to me. (I did this because I had no transportation and needed my car.) They never told me where my car was or got it for me. While waiting for the call, I went to pick up my brother. That is when I noticed the cloth headliner was damaged and sagging down. The call never came so accordingly, my brother and I came back to the shop to see if the owner was there to discuss both the price and the damage done. When I arrived in front of Gaines, in my car with my brother as a witness, the owner was outside in plain view of my car and my brother and me, but completely ignored us while proceeding to go straight to his company van. I approached him at the parked van directly in front of his business and told him about the damage and a mistake in pricing in a professional way and asked him to make things right. He was confrontational, unempathetic, and insulted my occupation as an Uber driver. He stated the damage was already there before the cleaning. He never even looked at my car and persisted to argue with me about this. I have pictures proving otherwise that my headliner was intact before the cleaning. I told him I would contact the BBB and he stated that I needed to leave his business, which I did. I am resolving this with the BBB and the business at this time, hopefully, it won't require any further action. If you are going to get your car detailed, I highly recommend you go to a professional business.
