This was our second time to stay here in our Airstream. It's a very cute RV campground. There's some long term folks primarily in the back half, but the front half is for transient campers like us. They have lots of trees, a cute playground and an enclosed dog run. We took our pups there the last trip but many dog owners hadn't bothered to clean up after them, so we opt'd not to take Sadie into the run this trip. A couple of long walks around the campgrounds and she was a happy camper. The office staff was helpful and friendly and even came over in their golf cart to pickup our propane tank for a refill. Yes! They have propane! I would love to give them 4 stars, but the real problem are the sites. There are a few sites that have paved patios and amenities, which is nice, however most are gravel and/or grass and not level. But the real kicker is row B, which is where we were parked last night. All the pull-thru sites in that row aren't really pull-thru unless you can make a tight left turn out of your space. The road is confusing and signs further down imply it's a one way to the left. This creates the problem. You can't make a right turn, which is what you would expect given the angle of the space. We ended up backing out. Thank goodness for the amazing cameras we have on our GMC and Airstream! We will be back because it's clean, cute and the location is great for a layover enroute to Orlando and other destinations in Florida. We'll just request a pull-thru in rows C or D. They are true pull-thru spaces. Oh - and they had really cute Christmas decorations and Christmas goods for sale in the office!

We were there for the winter from November of 23 to April of 24. The owners are awesome, along with the staff this a highly recommended place!

I highly recommend Perry KOA. It's right off US Hwy 19. It has some open campsites and some that have full shade. Huge trees and larger than average lots. Many are pull thru full hookup sites with cable. A heated pool and comfortable sitting areas. Some sites even have their own dog run and outdoor grills.

This is how close we were to the WIFI tower

Here we are on our last night and the place is pretty much full. The grounds are clean, the people here are very friendly. The bathrooms/showers of which 2 sets, are close to the entrance. They may have another set in the back(we didn't go that far)they are clean, spacious and modern. They have cabins upfront which look really nice too. Here's where my 4 stars go to 2 stars....FOR THEIR WIFI/INTERNET. When the place is full, the WIFI/Internet cuts in and out on ANY streaming service you're using. When it's raining(it was for the first two whole days)and you can't get outside this is a necessity. KOA Please fix this issue. Other than that this is a quite place. Not to hard to find. Close to town/shopping needs/food as well. Upon check in they will give you a pamphlet w/suggested places to eat. We DO NOT RECOMMEND Old Mexico Restaurant either!

Great "A" sites. Back in to woods behind. Very dog friendly

We absolutely LOVE it here. Everyone is so friendly and the campground is very well maintained. I hear it wasn't so great when a prior owner was running the place but the folks in charge now are excellent. There are ongoing improvements to some of the sites that are great! Wood swings, picnic table and fire rings at the site. Can't wait to come back.

Quiet out of the way campground. Very well lit. Great if you have blackout blinds. WiFi slow but if you have Verizon works better. Pool is heated by nature. Nice sunrises and sunsets. You park on grass/sand.

I was pleasantly surprised by my recent stay at the Perry KOA. I have never stayed at one before and had a great experience. The cabin we stayed in was very clean! I was surprised by all the little details that weren't overlooked. The kitchenette was fully stocked with plates, utensils and cookware. The bathroom even had toiletries. It was obvious that the owners try to make their guests comfortable. There was a putt-putt golf range and recreational pavilion with a pool and foosball table. It was a really family friendly place. There was even a Keurig at the general store with free coffee. The cabin was almost like a tiny house. It was pretty cozy, but don't plan on packing too many people in it or bringing too much luggage. Bedding and towels aren't provided, so you have to bring your own. I didn't mind bringing my own items, since I knew they were all clean. If I were staying at multiple KOAs then I would probably bring some kind of padding. The beds were quite hard. It wasn't an issue for me especially for a single night, but it could be a problem for those who are sensitive. It is right on the highway. So keep that in mind if you have small kids or if you're traveling alone. From the map that was provided, it looked like there were cabins deeper on the property. I would have probably asked if that was available if I was by myself. Being in a large group though, I wasn't worried about staying right next to the road. Also, beware of the potential smell from the nearby paper mill. Overall I had a wonderful experience and would recommend it (even to the non-camper!).

I had no choice but give 1 star or I wouldn't have nothing…read more.. Stay away from this campground in mayo fl . It was sold and bought by 2 new owners who are absolutely crazy. Aug 15th the camp host hit our camper with a piece of wood , he did not pick up and it busted hole in our outdoor kitchen door. The week b4 he hit our camper on the bottom piece of outdoor kitchen area, admitted to me he knew he hit it and was sorry. I asked to stay away from our camper, not mow so close he agreed . Aug 16th the woman owner Vikki showed up to the campground and automatically started getting mad, telling me to sue her right off the bat as they would not pay to have the door replaced or fixed by a professional. They wanted the man who hit the camper to come fix it with epoxy only, even tho he is a complete pot head who can't even mow correctly , but yet he was all they would allow to fix it. The 2nd owner Vikki husband John came over after maybe 20 minutes of sitting in the camp host camper, could barely walk over to my camper(he seemed drunk or high)once he knocked I tried to go out , but he was right on the bottom step and wouldn't even let me out of my own home without having to slid around him. Then asked very aggressively "wheres this hole" sounded drunk or high and got extremely aggressive towards me once I showed him the hole and told him what happened. At which point he told me I was lying and there was no way the camp host did that hole, he told me he never gets close to these campers to even hit them, so there's no way he did that. The camp host lied tp the new owners to save his own free ride he gets for barely mowing the proppety .Well then I asked him who mows your campground sir? That was the wrong question it made him madder and more aggressive, to the point my husband and son actually came outside to tell them to just leave. I told the owner women Vikki I would get quotes and send them to her and once I told John the other owner I done told her I would get quotes , then she showed back up after going sitting in the camp host camper for about 10 mins, and started telling my husband "yeah go back inside and run with your tail between your legs". Neither myself nor my husband got upset talked out of the way to these crazy people and never raised our voices, but yet they were extremely aggressive and rude and yelled at each other. It is Aug 28th I have sent multiple texts to both Vikki and John asking what they are going to do about fixing our camper, sent the quotes to them to fix it and nothing. They have read every text I haven't sent, but will not respond at all. We have been coming to this campground for 5 years,2 months in the summer and 2-3 months in the winter, but we will absolutely never come back. I even told the new owners how loyal we were to this campground as we really liked the old owner and the camp host until this situation where he lied to save himself and how crazy they acted. She didn't care and told me we were all just here running our acs full blast and didn't care about her light bill or her taxes . She was going to just raise the rates, as she bought a money pit and after paying her taxes and light bill she wouldn't make any money, well ma'am that was your fault for not doing your research on the area . So beware and stay away, this is not the same laid back , old owner paying for the camp host mess up like he used to do campground anymore.

This little gem is out of the way by a hop, and maybe a skip, but it's so worth seeking out!!!…read more Absolutely Beautiful place, tucked just out of the way in Mayo, FL., a charming little town. Hidden Oaks is great for Fifth wheels and med-large hitch pulls, but not super well set up for big rigs, but if you don't have a tow, it's pretty easy to get to most of the sites. The owners Jean and Troney live very closeby, and the Hospitality is off the chain. So helpful, friendly, accommodating.... this little treasure is new and is definitely their Baby. You're in for a lovely treat. No bathhouse, but full service at most sites. Some only have 30 amp, but most have 30/50 plus sewer hook-up and water.

There were already a good amount of people and the parking lot was almost full, but there was still plenty of space for people in the springs. There isn't a lot of space to put your belongings as there aren't really any large open spaces, but people pretty much just put their stuff where they can. You can either enter the springs via some stairs that take you right to the deep portion, or you can walk around the springs and enter at a shallower section. If you do go in at the shallower section, be aware that there's quite a strong current that can be difficult to fight against to get into the deep area. I would also recommend chacos or sandals of some kind as there are a lot of rocks in the shallower end that can be very slippery. The water is VERY cold, so be prepared for that, but know that it will also feel amazing afterward and soak any body aches/pains away. The springs are one of the most beautiful swimming areas I've seen--so much beautiful nature surrounding it. If I could go there WITHOUT the loud crowds of people, it would be the most absolutely perfect spot to relax and spend a day. Even with that it was fantastic and I would 100% return.

It's about five miles from exit 22 on I75. I called before making my way off of the exit. I hate calling campgrounds! Why do they all give you an interview? What does it matter what year the RV is? Other than that, it was a pretty stellar RV park. They don't allow tent camping and I didn't see any pop ups. We checked in around noon on a Friday and even though there were only a couple of sites available, it was extremely quiet. They were having a pizza party at the community center and on our last walk, we passed a group gathered around the communal fire pit. The bathrooms are near the community center, which is in the back of the campground and at the entrance. There is nothing except one small lounge/bar right outside of the grounds and a Dollar General about two miles before you get to the RV park. So, you better come prepared. There is a walking trail that's off the beaten path. We were happy to escape the Kentucky snow, so the balmy 73 degrees for was much welcomed and we took advantage for a couple of walks. There were also a few cabins that I think were priced pretty reasonably. I wouldn't necessarily call them cabins though. They were more like modular homes with dark brown siding. Still, probably better than staying the night at a Red Roof Inn.
