On a motorcycle all day, road weary on a holiday weekend with slim pickins for a decent room, especially in small town Amurica...Hampton Inn it was, inflated holiday prices and all. I doubt anyone vacations in Perry, Florida, but here we are laying down $200 for 13 hours. Hotel is clean and the lovely pink haired front desk person was super friendly. They got us checked in quickly and we were on our way to a hot shower and comfy bed in a jiffy. The room was clean, and the high pressures shower was perfect. The beds and pillows were just right. The only complaint about the room...the air was difficult to moderate. It was either too hot or too cold and when the air was running, it was loud...quite a few decibels above soothing white noise. Complimentary breakfast was decent and the staff kept it rolling as the morning crowd grew. All in all, a nice spot, although a tad pricey. read more

Stayed here for one night while on a road trip. the night prior I stayed at a Hampton Inn in Orlando which was amazing. I didn't expect an amazing experience but overall this was ok Room was clean BUT it REEKS like a wet dog rolled on every surface in the room. The hotel is far from sold out. I'd be shocked if for more 30 of the rooms are in use. I asked to change rooms and was told none were available. Aside from the stank, the hotel isn't terrible. It's not the best. It's not the worst and for the town (which is in the middle of nowhere) it's the best option around. Btw the Italian restaurant two buildings over was pretty good! read more

We stayed here passing through to get to Destin and got in pretty late. Room is clean the hospitality is terrible! They purposely wake you up at 9am even though check out isn't until 11am. It's a banging on the door and when you tell them you are sleeping, they proceed to yell through the door asking when you plan to check out. We complained to the front desk and they replied with, yes, we wake everyone up at 9am. We are Hilton members but this is the third really bad experience with a Hilton property. Never again. This Hampton Inn is a five star hotel. . It's in a small town with staff that are so welcoming. Mitzi at the front desk was so wonderful, sweet . Hampton Inn should be proud of all there staff there. Jamie the night manager is so sweet , energetic, smiling alot. Wow it felt like I was at my home. Sandy is another keeper. She another fun and sweet person. They give a lot of attention to their customers. The hotel is very clean, fresh snacks and do not over price on the little store in the hotel. Yelp you need to change the rating to a 5 . I'm giving this a 3 star because the staff was so nice ! Beware .... I am a diamond member , booked a king room with sofa , nonsmoking. I did e-check in but the site chose my room for me. I checked in, got to my room and had a SMOKING room, by the elevator, with 2 double beds. ( my profile says MUST BE NONSMOKING and away from elevator ). I go back downstairs and speak with the front desk who is absolutely lovely but the hotel is sold out. Hotels are sold out for 50 miles. I want to know number one, why someone would change my room without saying anything to me, and especially changing from a non-smoking to a smoking room. The bed type was not as much of an issue because it was just me but I am highly allergic to smoke so that was a huge issue. I had to evacuate my home during hurricane irma. On my way to Pensacola, I passed this place, as it is just about half way. Traveling with my dog. Since it was such a long drive for both of us, I decided on the return trip to book a room here, and that was the smarted thing I did!. I left Pensacola on Tuesday,Sept.12th, and spent over 6 hours on I-10.Traffic was brutal.By the time I made it to Hampton Inn, I and the dog were completely exhausted. This is a nice place. Clean, nicely furnished and the staff very friendly and helpful. It was the perfect rest stop for those of us stressed to the max with the storm and dreading what we may be returning to. 4 stars. read more

Enjoyed our stay. Daily happy hour, from 6-8pm is a great bonus. There ins't a drink maximum, and they pour them heavy and often. Was fun to hang with others I travelled with and the other hotel patrons. Rooms were quiet and clean, though there were some scuffs and dings around the property that should/could be addressed. The staff were fine, but seemed less than happy about their jobs and proved hard to get them to smile. First noticed the evening attendant on my way in at night, as no one was at the desk, but she was sitting in the breakfast area watching tv. I didn't recognize her as an employee at first, but figured it out the next morning when I came down for an early breakfast and she was still there. Hearing her converse with other employees clued me in that she worked there. I would definitely come back to this specific location. A solid stay at a chain I frequent. read more

Apparently there was a massive roof leak and they have decided to stay open. Carpets are soaked, the room has an unbearable mold smell and pieces of the ceiling are falling into the bed as I type. I was not looking for anything fancy or even nice, just a clean and dry room that didn't smell. The fact that Hampton has allowed this place to stay open is appalling. You are better off sleeping outside, please save yourself the disgust of staying at this hotel. read more

I am a Hilton Honor member which means I frequent Hilton family hotels. I'm a big fan of the free wireless and the free hot breakfast. Also, the rooms are usually pretty darn nice. This Hampton however was a bit of a disapointment. I booked a room with a whilrpool tub so I could do some relaxing and I couldn't even get the tub to fill up with hot water - in fact before it even got 1/2 full the water was cold. If that wasn't enough, the sheets on the bed kept snapping off the corners and leaving me sleeping on a bunch of thick wrinkles. And lastly, no matter what I did I could not get the room dark at night - there was light all around me. Leaving me even more cranky and less relaxed. While these things will stop be from returning to this Hampton, it is important to note that the staff was amazing! They were all so friendly and accommodating. Also, in addition to the usual free breakfast, this location also gives a free cocktail hour (actually it was hours) with free cookies, beer, wine and cocktails. read more

We travel to south Florida from Alabama & Perry, FL is a perfect 1/2 way spot to spend the night. We have always stayed at the Hampton Inn. It is clean, very reasonable rate & conveniently located. They have a great Happy Hour from 5:30 - 8:00. They serve wine & beer & cookies & strawberries with chocolate sauce. The breakfast is served from 6 - 10 and included omelets, ham, French toast & much more. Staff was very pleasant. We will stay there again! read more

My dad came to spend thanksgiving with us and woke up at 3am to bedbugs. Told the hotel management and they seemed to not be very concerned. This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at!!! The staff is amazing. They go way above and beyond the call of duty. They are always friendly and courteous, and ready to ensure you are comfortable. There is a two and a half hour long happy hour with FREE cocktails, wine, beer, chocolate covered strawberries, and cookies. They also offered salty snacks to those that werent interested in the sweets. The rooms were nice and clean, very comfortable. I will always come back and stay at this hotel when I travel through. just driving through on road trip and this was night 2 of our trip. for the town which isn't much really, the hotel pleasantly surprised us. very clean, comfortable bed, internet service just fair, pretty much all the amenities worth the price.
