Great spot to camp and get away from city noise. Chicken poop bingo, redneck bowling, and pigeon races are all very unique and fun family friendly activities. Very nice pool area with hot tub and very well maintained. Very family friendly! Bring the kids!

We stayed for 2 nights River Room 10. It was amazing. This room sleeps six with 2 double beds in loft area and pull out sofa. Room was clean smelled good and had a porch overlooking river. Pool area was well maintained not too cold. The dog area is incredible. They had outdoor games to play like giant jenga. My only suggestions would be extra sheets for pull out sofa. We had our own. Also no phone service and the wifi sucks. I will not take away a star though. We loved this place and will be back.

We were going to stay from may-october. Left early. Here are the pros- we loved our site. Plenty of room and quiet in the back of the park. All the employees were friendly. Near a couple of springs. Little river springs was beautiful! Snack bar at the campground was pretty good. Nice views of the swuanee. Monthly rate is reasonable. Here's the cons- the spring on resort property is pretty gross. Personally I would not swim in there. They are adding on another section to park. Supposed to be adult only but they keep lowering the age. Not fully open. All sand. We didn't stay back there. They were supposed to have adult only pool open kept having problems with health inspectors. So we used the other pool which was mobbed with people. Alot of unsupervised children. First weekend kid cracked his head on side of the pool. The dog park is nice if you use the 2 front halfs. The ones that back up to the woods are not safe. No fence. Also cable was down numerous times during our 2 month stay. Had a boil water alert another weekend. Which is a real hassle when you have 3 dogs. Then the rec center also got vandalized. I believe this could be a really nice resort just needs a remodel and some more security. One day we were there and some campers left their dogs in the dog park and were just going to take off! Definitely too much drama for us. Springs also got flooded pretty early this year so we were only able to go one time. We stayed 2 months. Time to move on. Hope they get things ironed out.

Here is the good stuff first: If you need a calm and mellow place to unwind, sitting along the Suwannee river is what the doctor ordered. The water is so calm extending along the canal of trees and nature. In the few hours that we have been trying our luck at fishing at the boat ramp, we've spotted all types of birds, sturgeon and mullet leaping from the water. Even bass. The place is not fancy at all, but so far no bugs or scary stuff in our room. We stayed at the river lofts, which are above the Main Office. There are also nice camping grounds. If rustic is your flavor, you will like it there. Now the medicine: We do not recommend the Grandma cookin shack. We tried the breakfast and our order was short on meat and the sausage pattie was undercooked. The grits were also not very good. Though we were the only 2 in the restaurant at the time, somehow our food was not hot. Oh, I am not trying to offend dog lovers, but everyone does not love dogs like you might. Meaning, there is a rather large dog that roams around the dining room. We walked in and the dog followed us to our table and proceeded to rub up against my husband's leg. Just too much with the dog love. Plus we are both allergic to dog fur the larger the dog the worse the reaction.

Swannee River Rendezvous is a combination of a rustic resort and campground. The log cabins come fully furnished while there are over 200 campsites both located on the river or nearby within easy walking of a modern swimming pool complex Wifi and Satellite tv are available but with such lovely surroundings I have never considered. Fishing and kayak rentals and trips are available also. Peaceful place for those in a place away from casinos, room service, noises. Just relax listening to the birds and swaying trees. This is our 3rd time here and it just gets better. Be forewarned that on holiday weekends it is very popular and is not the spirit-restoring place that I love.

Hidden Oaks RV & Campground - Hole from piece of wood camp host did not try to pick up

    Hidden Oaks RV & Campground

I had no choice but give 1 star or I wouldn't have nothing…read more.. Stay away from this campground in mayo fl . It was sold and bought by 2 new owners who are absolutely crazy. Aug 15th the camp host hit our camper with a piece of wood , he did not pick up and it busted hole in our outdoor kitchen door. The week b4 he hit our camper on the bottom piece of outdoor kitchen area, admitted to me he knew he hit it and was sorry. I asked to stay away from our camper, not mow so close he agreed . Aug 16th the woman owner Vikki showed up to the campground and automatically started getting mad, telling me to sue her right off the bat as they would not pay to have the door replaced or fixed by a professional. They wanted the man who hit the camper to come fix it with epoxy only, even tho he is a complete pot head who can't even mow correctly , but yet he was all they would allow to fix it. The 2nd owner Vikki husband John came over after maybe 20 minutes of sitting in the camp host camper, could barely walk over to my camper(he seemed drunk or high)once he knocked I tried to go out , but he was right on the bottom step and wouldn't even let me out of my own home without having to slid around him. Then asked very aggressively "wheres this hole" sounded drunk or high and got extremely aggressive towards me once I showed him the hole and told him what happened. At which point he told me I was lying and there was no way the camp host did that hole, he told me he never gets close to these campers to even hit them, so there's no way he did that. The camp host lied tp the new owners to save his own free ride he gets for barely mowing the proppety .Well then I asked him who mows your campground sir? That was the wrong question it made him madder and more aggressive, to the point my husband and son actually came outside to tell them to just leave. I told the owner women Vikki I would get quotes and send them to her and once I told John the other owner I done told her I would get quotes , then she showed back up after going sitting in the camp host camper for about 10 mins, and started telling my husband "yeah go back inside and run with your tail between your legs". Neither myself nor my husband got upset talked out of the way to these crazy people and never raised our voices, but yet they were extremely aggressive and rude and yelled at each other. It is Aug 28th I have sent multiple texts to both Vikki and John asking what they are going to do about fixing our camper, sent the quotes to them to fix it and nothing. They have read every text I haven't sent, but will not respond at all. We have been coming to this campground for 5 years,2 months in the summer and 2-3 months in the winter, but we will absolutely never come back. I even told the new owners how loyal we were to this campground as we really liked the old owner and the camp host until this situation where he lied to save himself and how crazy they acted. She didn't care and told me we were all just here running our acs full blast and didn't care about her light bill or her taxes . She was going to just raise the rates, as she bought a money pit and after paying her taxes and light bill she wouldn't make any money, well ma'am that was your fault for not doing your research on the area . So beware and stay away, this is not the same laid back , old owner paying for the camp host mess up like he used to do campground anymore.

Hidden Oaks is great for Fifth wheels and med-large hitch pulls, but not super well set up for big rigs, but if you don't have a tow, it's pretty easy to get to most of the sites. The owners Jean and Troney live very closeby, and the Hospitality is off the chain. So helpful, friendly, accommodating.... this little treasure is new and is definitely their Baby. You're in for a lovely treat. No bathhouse, but full service at most sites. Some only have 30 amp, but most have 30/50 plus sewer hook-up and water.

The folks residing here are friendly & tend to watch out for one another, which is reassuring. Located on Lake Rousseau, where the fishing is plentiful. They have a small bathhouse (1 shower) & a nice laundry (3 washers @ $1.75/3 dryers at $1 per load). There's no cable & OTA is unreliable, but the wifi is excellent. TV channels are not consistent, but I really haven't missed watching it very much. Although I do watch a few channels occasionally, it's given me a great opportunity to catch up on some reading. Speaking of reading, there is a book exchange area in the laundry. These folks also own Big Bass Village RV down the road, so you can't always catch someone in the office, but the manager (Suzie) got back with me very quickly when I emailed her from the address on the website. I think the owners are really working hard to make this a beautiful place. It has great potential, it's VERY reasonably priced (lower than anyone else in the area), & are quick to answer questions or suggest sights/views/restaurants. It's about five miles from exit 22 on I75. I called before making my way off of the exit. I hate calling campgrounds! Why do they all give you an interview? What does it matter what year the RV is? Other than that, it was a pretty stellar RV park. They don't allow tent camping and I didn't see any pop ups. We checked in around noon on a Friday and even though there were only a couple of sites available, it was extremely quiet. They were having a pizza party at the community center and on our last walk, we passed a group gathered around the communal fire pit. The bathrooms are near the community center, which is in the back of the campground and at the entrance. There is nothing except one small lounge/bar right outside of the grounds and a Dollar General about two miles before you get to the RV park. So, you better come prepared. There is a walking trail that's off the beaten path. We were happy to escape the Kentucky snow, so the balmy 73 degrees for was much welcomed and we took advantage for a couple of walks. There were also a few cabins that I think were priced pretty reasonably. I wouldn't necessarily call them cabins though. They were more like modular homes with dark brown siding. Still, probably better than staying the night at a Red Roof Inn.
