I arrived around 8: 46 and attempted to open the door to your office. Lights were on, people were inside and the only sign on the door said push. So I stood there and looked like I was trying to break in, as in my head, something is wrong with the door, I was told to be here at 8:45 and it's after. When someone did come to the door, they let me know " we don't open till 9" I explained my appointment was at 9 and they said something to the effect we are going into our morning meeting the doors open at 9 and proceeded to shut office door. I sat down in that chair right outside office the door and realized I was not wanted here and I left. I hope things can be adjusted so this won't happen to someone else in the future.

Astoria's communications to patients and family is horrible, the social worker and therapy team…read moreleader, are incompetent to do their job of caring for the client. No client goal or therapy schedule, expect to be seen 15-20 mins with limited physical activities. Then when you are ready to be discharged they " drag their feet" to get more days and money from you.. and lie about communicating with home treatment care providers. If you have dementia you are even less likely to get services because they don't think you can comprehend getting better!! Please spare yourself and or loved ones to receive services from Astoria, shop around.

I noted I had an another appointment somewhere else in less than an hour, and I was told it would be fine. I arrived and Wendi greeted me at the door, because her receptionist, her mother, had gone to pick up her son. The office was clean, neat, and easy to find because of the pictures on yelp. I appreciated the family-run business vibe... My adjustment was splendid! I have seen many chiros, and Wendi did a fantastic job. She also helped me with an issue that no one else had really addressed. She seemed to get all my "spots" and I will be returning for future adjustments! Prices were also VERY reasonable considering I pay out-of-pocket. Wendi was friendly, had excellent listening skills, and afforded me her full attention. Its nice to encounter practitioners who care and are good at what they do! Overall very pleased with my visit, and I think I have found my new go-to chiro!! Thanks Wendi!
