My brother Sean was diagnosed with colon cancer, he was getting treated by "Dr" John C. Fondran …read more.. Sean was told by Fondran he was cancer-free and didn't need to do the pump version of chemotherapy - "that would be over-done if we did that." So Fondran stopped ALL cancer treatments and had him ring the cancer-free bell. Ring .. Ring .. Ring. My brother had bi-monthly check ups. On his scans he had spots on his lungs. John Fondran said "Those spots on your lungs are something most people have in the Northeast - Northeast, Ohio" and Fondran ignored it. My brother went a year plus without any treatment. Every checkup my brother's blood numbers kept doubling - Which is a warning sign. But Fondran said "it was nothing - I'll keep an eye on it." ((( All Fondran had to do when he saw those spots is perform a biopsy to see if they were cancerous. ))) - Spots on a scan - Ignored by John C. Fondran - Blood numbers doubling for a year - Ignored by John C. Fondran. When Fondran finally figured out he was wrong and told Sean it was stage 4 lung cancer. My brother almost fainted. Fondran just walked out of the room backwards, didn't say anything else and a nurse tried to console Sean. Now my brother is on that "over-done" chemotherapy pump for the rest of his life - until that medicine stopped working. He's had over 150 with that cancer pump which made him nauseous. He has incurable stage 4 cancer. My brother Sean had these illnesses because of John C. Fondran: - Stage 4 Lung cancer and went through 200+ different chemotherapy treatments. - When treated for colon cancer the radiation was to strong and damaged his colon. - Brain cancer and needed major brain surgery. The whole side of his head, down to his ear had a huge scar. - Multiple radiation treatments because the brain cancer came back months later. - Liver cancer at the end. - Bone cancer in his spine at the end. He would take 12 medications for pain 24 hours a day. At best he would be at a 3 out of 10 pain level for a couple hours until it started wearing off. The rest of the time he'd be screaming at an 8 level of pain. He couldn't walk, outside of a couple steps to go the bathroom - but every step he would be screaming. If he slept to long on any side, he'd scream. He never screamed or complained in 8 years until the spine cancer. - Sean went to doctor appointments between 2-5 days a week for 6 out of the 8 years before his death. Not counting Emergency room visits multiple times monthly. All because of John Fondran. Your original "Northeast Ohio is the reason for the spots on your lungs" misdiagnosis. Sean missed his 50th birthday by 2 months because of you. He should have had 20 more years to live. He never drank, he never smoked. ... because of you John Fondran that didn't happen. Sean trusted you.
