Steer clear of this place. As most used auto lots are full of junk and some aren't, respectability speaking. All I can say about this place is rude, unprofessional and really poor salesmanship. Years back I was looking at the underneath of a pick up truck when the owner was walking by I stood up, might have spooked him but he continued to tell me I 'really need to know what I'm talking about' and basically told me how stupid I am and why I shouldn't be looking at cars.. great way to sell!! This month I was looking at a car there first time I've been back in 3 years. Same guy and another man who must have been his brother gave me a price. I went back to purchase it and they were now both there and started arguing over the price and put the blame on me for why they didn't know what price. Looked at the paper work and they filled out 2 grand more than I was told!!! I walked away. Seems like they work together to argue on purpose to get you confused into signing something. BEWARE! I bought my Elantra here about 1 1/2 years ago. It was listed over Kelly Blue Book value. The salesperson at the time, Ken, said you couldn't really go by that - it doesn't factor in all the work that they do to prep the car for you - they repair anything (brakes, tires, etc.) that's at 50% or less. He wouldn't negotiate the price down at all. The one thing I specifically requested was that the timing belt be replaced if it hadn't already been, as the car was just over 100,000 miles. Well now, 1 1/2 years later I found out that the timing belt definitely wasn't replaced 1 1/2 years ago. A couple other mechanics had mentioned to me "hey if you haven't had the timing belt done yet, given your miles, you definitely need to" and I was always like "no, it was already done - they did it when I bought the car." But yesterday someone from Goodyear actually looked at it and said definitely not. I called Perro's, and explained that I was upset this hadn't been done when I purchased my car. Next time I'll have it put in writing in the agreement! The owner, Michael, was so RUDE to me that I was in TEARS when I got off the phone. He yelled at me, tried to defend himself by saying it wasn't his responsibility/he didn't do anything wrong, etc. etc. and constantly interrupted me and wouldn't listen to what I had to say. He said the best he could do was get me a really good price. I asked if the work could be done on Friday or Saturday (after Thanksgiving, as I live out of state but will be home visiting family), and he said "NO!" and blew up that I couldn't make demands like that, especially over a holiday weekend. I simply asked him if he could, I didn't demand anything! At this point, I'm thinking this guy is the WORST BUSINESS OWNER ever... he is so rude to his customers and for no reason. I was simply trying to talk to him about my problem... So he was supposed to call back with a "good price" for me - 3 hours later, still no call back. My boyfriend calls him to check in. He was very polite. Michael gives him the number of the autobody shop, tells him to call that number, yells at him and HANGS UP! Ridiculous. I will never go back there!!! Side note: in the year and 1/2 that I've owned the car, I've already had to replace the tires, rear brakes, rotors & calipers (and they said the rear brakes were at 90% good when I bought it), the driver belt, and I've also had to do a transmission drain & fill. the owner never had a mask on even when we were in the building. he was coughing without covering his mouth, he also said everything was fine with the car but we found a problem with the transmission. when we finally bought the car he started messing with it and taking things off etc. read more

This place is HORRIBLE! We went in recently to look at a Lincoln Continental for our 19 year old son. The car list for just under $4500 (already overpriced by KBB standards). The photo online was taken when there was still snow on the ground. It was the 30th of May when we stopped in. The salesman said they haven't had a chance to look it over yet. I then took it for a test drive. The headliner was falling off, the driver's power seat didn't work, the tires were nearly bald, the emergency brake didn't work, and the a/c didn't work. I proceeded to let him know all that was wrong and I was still willing to purchase the car but at a price of $2500. The salesman proceeded to raise his voice and talk to me in a demeaning and belittling manor. The man is an arrogant ass and it is amazing ANYONE buys a car from him. Went to Perro's and looked at two cars. I brought both to my mechanic to look at with Perro's blessing. My mechanic didn't like either of them. I then tried to get my deposit back from Mike and he refused. He said he was going to "teach me a lesson" for not buying a car from him. I bought a car from them before and used to tell people I would go back there, but not after this experience. Mike yelled at me, calling me disloyal for not buying a car that was overpriced . Perro's does not stand by their cars. My 20yo daughter bought a 2002 V W TDI late Oct. Did not pass inspection at first. needed sensor. . Then early Dec Radiator light comes on needed to add Antifreeze. Then brakes start making noise. We bring it to Monroe for an estimate needed $700 in work. My husband and daughter go to Perro's to tell them about the work the car needs. Salesmen say's they will take care of it. This should not be happening, the brakes where 80%. Get the appointment for repair when we call to pickup they tell my daughter she owes $427. She tell's them she was told it would be covered. So big surprise for a 20yo kid. She asks to speak to on of the owners. Her call is returned by one of them who was RUDE. Told her she never paid for the $100 for the sensor. He went on and said he see's her father down the bar all the time and he never mentioned the car. My daughter responses with" My father does not drink". Owner then goes on to describe a totally different person he calls Shane. Run from this place. Don't know how they have been in business this long treating people like this. I bought a car from these people and it was the worst mistake of my life. Car overheated after 4 days of owning it. Refused to allow me to return the car under the lemon law and had their "mechanic" look at it and fix it. Replaced radiator. Car was good for 3 weeks and overheated again. Was out of my car for a month while they replaced the thermostat, water pump, and coolant tank. Car drove fine for a few weeks and then started leaking coolant again causing it to overheat. Had a friend fix the hose and now coolant is leaking into my engine block. White smoke everywhere! They will act like they are helping you when they are just bidding time. Don't give this place any of your time or money. read more

This place is just awful. Their website is very clear that they work with people with bad/no credit, and prior repossessions. However after a credit check in what I think was the owner's office (which reeked of cigarettes. He had an ashtray out and clearly smokes in there. I had to have my boyfriend take my daughter out because it smelled so bad), he starts berating me about my credit! Obviously, if I had a choice, I wouldn't be at a place like this, I would be at a normal car dealership. But poor choices in my younger days meant this was my only option. He told me at first there was no way he would be able to get me a car. Then he said maybe, if I could get my "father or someone" to co-sign. Uhhh...I'm an adult woman, running to daddy for money is not an option, and it was very insulting. He even went so far as to say "Well I shouldn't help you, because you clearly can't pay your bills." I was done at that point, I went to check out cars, not get a lecture about my credit history. I went to All Star in Marlboro instead, and I can't recommend them enough. Purchased a 2005 Toyota 4Runner about a year ago now. Vehicle was in great shape, dealer had took good care of it while in their possession. It's a V8 too tough to find the bigger engine 4Runners. Older fashion dealership, no bells and whistles just an honest salesman selling you a vehicle. It was sold at a fair value, I couldn't argue with the price for what I was getting. Had an independent shop look at it before purchase and considered it to be an excellent vehicle for its year, with incredibly low mileage. I was impressed with the various vehicles they had for sale, didn't seem like they purchase junk- each vehicle I looked at was in good condition for its year and mileage. I recently went to Perro's to purchase a vehicle.The biggest issue we had was paper work . The deal was very close to being finished until I double check the paper work . They wrote the car up $1000 more then the internet listed price . When we brought it to there attention they have us the customer grief over the fact of them loosing money . At the end of the day that isn't a customer problem . The fact is though they showed us 1 year old KBB sheets and over a year old Carfax report "buy beware" just because a car dealership has a Carfax doesn't mean they're not backdated. Prices and vehicles change over time .My sales man who help was very polite and I want to believe he was help me . I firmly believe all our problems came from the owner who I feel was very rude. I personally would not suggest coming to a place like Perros just on the sole fact that their ownership does not want to help the customers leave with a good vehicle . And would rather put money before customer service. read more

ok i wish i had never gone there it was like being at a state hospital i was looking at some cars when the owner mike perro came out and we was talking he seemed very nice and polite AT FIRST LOOK !! has we got further in talking about some of the cars i notice that some of them had some questionable problems like one of them the front door did not line up with the rear door when it was closed like it did on the other side, but mike said that there was no problem with it which there was not it did close and open ok. but to me that means this car could have been in some kind of accident or fender bender of some kind, he stated that it has clean car fax so there was accident on this vehicle. well when i told him that just because it did not say it on the car fax that does not mean there was no accident or fender bender on this car i know this for a fact because i got into a couple of fender benders myself and took the car to a repair shop that does not report to car fax. and he instantly just got very upset and mad at me cursing at me telling me i don't know what the f**k I was talking about and continue to curse at me and yelling at me to get off his property.. so i did with no chance of ever going back there EVER!!! i now see why there are so many bad reviews out there on this place and he really needs to go into counseling for his anger issues and leave the business to real polite professionals because with his bad attitude he is not... read more
