They are absolutely wonderful here. The manager Rick absolutely loves people and wants to do what's best for you and your car! They are honest. I needed to get my MIL's car an oil change and I knew exactly where I was brining it. They deal with many different cars so they are knowledgeable. If I could give 0 stars I would. My son in law took my daughter's jeep to these people to get an alignment and two tires. They scheduled an appointment to get the other two tires and was assured they wouldn't be charged for another alignment. Soon after getting the first alignment and tires, my kids hear a whining noise. They called Midas shed told them about this and said they wanted a transmission flush instead of tires. Midas said sure, bring it in. Here is where Midas formulated their plan as they unbeknownst to my kids, they DO NOT WORK ON TRANSMISSIONS. So my kids took it there to be told they needed a new axle, tie rods. They were quoted $1300. When the work was done, the price was $1550 and another alignment charge. Also the parts they charged for were over $450 each and at the Jeep dealership they are much less. So did Midas touch the parts and they turned into Gold? All jokes aside, they are crooks and we are taking this up the corporate ladder. They took advantage of my kids. Lawyer time! While shopping around for a good price on a full synthetic oil change I came across the Midas website where they had a full synthetic oil change advertised for 49.99 plus disposal and tax. The website booked the appointment from the link, and I went in 2 days later to be told that Midas doesn't honor the price advertised on the website, and they charge $99, but have a $20 off coupon. I'm not big on supporting businesses that engage in illegal bait and switch practices, but I went ahead with the service. I don't have any complaints about the front end employee, and I'm assuming the work is going to be fine, but companies like this are using illegal tactics to take money from their communities, and clearly that's not cool. I'm going to lose a punch out of my independent woman card for saying this, but other than where to top off fluids and check my tire pressure, I know jack-shh about cars. I've had a few in my life, I enjoy them, and I certainly need one to get around. I recently moved to the area, needed to find a place, and google lead me here. After putting off getting my car checked out, and believe me, I knew it needed some work done, I bit the bullet and made an appointment at this Midas. Fast forward to dropping off my car at around 10am, Edwin made it quick and thorough. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Jumped in my uber, woosh away I went. I get a text with a link to the break down of the diagnostics they ran, shortly followed by a call to follow up on it. I crapped myself with the price tag on what all needed to be done but agreed to it. Brakes, brake pads, holes in things, worn down other things.. I was told I could get my car around 5pm but opted to come in the next morning. All of this to say, the process here was quick, simplified for my non-car savy self, and probably one of the best mechanic experiences I've had in a long while. read more

Had my Chevy equinox in for service for brake pads and rotors back in Oct 2022. 7 months later I was having issues breaking at high speeds a lot of vibration. I called Midas in Auburn and the service manager stated that my parts were still under warranty. Brought the car down and service manager looked at my car. Did not test drive the car like i asked. He took the car apart and claimed that 3 out of the 4 brake calipers were frozen. that it was going to cost me over $700. I was shocked. I took the car back same day to get a 2nd opinion. Took it to DT auto in Auburn and they test drove my car and looked at everything. They stated the brake calipers were free and that all i needed was brake caliper maintenance not replacement. and brake pads and rotors replaced. Took it back to Midas in Auburn and stated all i needed him to do was the warranty work, brake pads and rotors. Service manager refused stated i need to pay for new calipers. I said i do not want them replaced as they are fine. He then handed me my key back and said we wouldn't help you. That set me off. I was very angry and asked for his manager. He just gave me a business card. I then kept stating you should be helping the customer not refusing me considering how dangerous it was to drive my vehicle. I have 2 kids and driving around with breaks that are not working properly is extremely dangerous. After I was done trying to get this service manager to do what i needed him to do, i left the building. As i got to my car he came to the door of the facility and stated do not come back your not welcome here. I then said keep going, keep saying bad things to me as i will just pass this up to your manager. He then said your a fucking loser and crazy. I was stuck in the parking lot of Midas in auburn to try and figure out who can help me fix my car that was under warranty. I contacted Midas in Westboro and explained everything that i just stated in this review. They were very sympathetic and asked me to explain to them what happened. They gave me advice on my situation with my car and what they would do. They stated that if there were issues with brake calipers, they offer a service that's $75 per axel to repair the brake calipers. THats all my car needed in order to maintain the warranty on the breaks, not full replacement. Westboro Midas was able to test drive and do all the necessary repairs within 6hours. I got the car back same day on 5/18. Westboro went above and beyond and even gave me the brake caliper repairs fee on the house to accommodate me due to what occurred in Auburn Midas. Overall Midas in Auburn has a Manager that cannot and does not have the proper capabilities to take care of customers. Swindling people into problems with their cars that are not even present. Offering services that are incredibly expensive not even offering other alternatives to help the customer. Left me stranded. At some point i would like to be contacted by the District Manager to explain my situation so they can make the effort to correct this Service Managers behaviors because he is brand new as of this year in that location. Now i live in Auburn and can no longer go to a place that was very convenient for me. Until this manager is removed from this location I will not go back to this location, a very unstable individual. Goodluck to those that go here, always get a 2nd opinion, don't fall prey to overpaying for repairs/replacements you may not need. Thank you Westboro Midas for fixing my car. It drives great. I'm not usually a fan of coming to bigger named stores for any car services but they had a deal going for an oil change. So happy I came in! Ended up walking out with an oil change, tail light, tire rotation, plate light and had a rattling sound fixed that was driving me nuts. They ended up fixing the rattle for free because it was incredibly minor. They COULD have taken advantage and told me the rattling was something serious. I would have known nothing of the difference. But they were honest-something you don't find often in that business! Customer service was top notch. Jim at the front was polite, informative and personable! Definitely an asset to this company and I wish more places like this employed people like him. It would definitely encourage me to spend my money at Midas more often! My car was in and out. I walked in with no appointment hoping that I could get a tire removed from a bent rim. Edwin the store manager was great! He took the tire right out of my hands and with a short wait, all was complete and one of the team even carried back the tire and rim to my car. Now there I was with no appointment asking for a service that was certainly not going to be a big sale. Edwin and team took care of me with a smile and professionalism. This people deliver incredible and competent service as I watched them working in more complicated jobs. I can't recommend them enough! Brought our vehicle in for routine maintenance and they ended up causing 3k in damage that was noted by an adjuster and a certified ford mechanic. They also charged us for services they never did (confirmed by the Certified mechanic currently repairing the vehicle). Cannot get intouch with owner or "franchise director" despite repeatedly being told they will call us by end of business.  Don't spend your money here or the Westborough location as we found out there are many others dealing with the Same type of complaints. read more

We brought our car in to Midas in Auburn, MA to get a muffler replaced. They told us car needed both front and back sway bars replaced due to rust as well as new struts and shock absorbers and two new tires for $2500. Told us car was not safe to drive because sway bars were rusted through. Seemed suspicious so we took the car to TWO separate mechanics and asked them to check out the car. They both showed us the car up on the lift and said there was nothing wrong with the car or tires at all! We then called Midas and asked what the deal was. They said "well it's because of the age of the car". What? $2500 for nothing wrong with the car. We are now considering small claims court. They should be shut down for doing this. How many others are they scamming on a daily basis. I urge everyone to go elsewhere. read more

I came to MIDAS on 10/19/20 for a coolant flushed and brake flushed. I made an appointment two weeks ago and it was confirmed right away. I also submitted a request for an estimate and the price was fair. I dropped off my car right around 8:10am. Then they called me around 9:45am to pick up my car. I definitely recommend Jim and this Midas shop! Too often when two women pull into an auto-repair shop they get upsold for needless work and ripped off. But Jim really helped us out in a pinch, quickly found the parts we needed, and got us back on the road with new rotor and brake pads within 75 min. He showed us the damaged parts and was stuck on the phone for a long time with the car warranty people and didnt complain. I would definitely use this Midas for all my car needs if I lived in the area. Which BTW also means Jim knew we were a 1-time customer but he treated us like we were long-time customers. I've always brought my car to a privately-owned mechanic who I've trusted for years, but after moving to Auburn a few months ago I couldn't see driving two hours to my mechanic when I had a problem. I chose the Auburn Midas based on online reviews and brought my car in for a diagnosis and estimate. I then called my trusted mechanic and was surprised he thought the diagnosis was accurate and the price very fair. Unfortunately, later that afternoon another problem came up. So the next day I returned. Scott and I went for a test drive, he diagnosed the problem and gave me an estimate. worst experience do not trust this shop if your being sent there from a car dealer ship GARY JACKSON MOTORS after purchasing a veh from Gary do not they are liars, cheaters and scammers. I personally believe that the manager of Midas and Gary have a connection. After visiting Midas more than 4 times back and forth and the untrue diagnosis that my truck did not have anything wrong with the wheel Bearing. We went with second opinion and found that wheel bearing with front brakes needed to be replaced. Sad because the truck was initially taken to Midas for Perform courtesy check and they didn't see that there was a problem. Midas cooperate and BBB have been contacted. The owner of this Midas is unprofessional. I have been treated with no respect. I will NEVER NEVER GO TO ANOTHER OR ANY MIDAS AGAIN AND I WILL NOT RECOMMEND. read more
