I paid $10,000 to have XPEL PPF and ceramic coating done on two vehicles here, and I regret…read morechoosing a detailing shop over a dedicated PPF installer to save money. The PPF work was subcontracted out, and the quality was poor. On my Range Rover, the film around the rear tailgate was left with a wide, unwrapped edge and an exposed seam that started lifting and trapping dirt within a few weeks. This is a straightforward area to wrap, and it contradicts what I was told before booking -- that edges would be hand-cut and wrapped with no exposed seams as much as possible. When I asked for a repair, the owner Rogelio's answers kept shifting: first that the shop no longer works with the subcontractor, then that some parts "can't be wrapped," then an offer to just add more ceramic coating on the edges. Only after I mentioned I might leave a review did the owner offer to have the panels redone -- and framed it as costing him $1,500 to make me happy, as if a defective install was a favor. The part that ended the relationship for me: when I couldn't find my XPEL warranty confirmation (it turned out to be in my spam folder though I doubt I can utilize this warranty ever), the owner proposed issuing me a Lumen warranty for film that was actually XPEL -- in other words, a warranty from a different brand than what was installed and paid for! I told him I don't want to be sued, and he says they will never be able to figure out. I declined. Whatever the intent, I'm not comfortable with a shop that would suggest that, and I will take my car elsewhere for the repair, having learned my lesson.

*WARNING* DO NOT GO HERE. CHRIS IS A THIEF. Read on:…read more We brought our car into Ace Auto Detail to get a deep cleaning on 12/20/2024. We dropped it off around 11:15am and Chris said it would be ready before 3pm.  We called just before 3pm as we hadn't heard anything, they said to come by at 5pm as they were in the process of cleaning it and wanted more time to be thorough. They don't have a place where you can wait while they clean your car, so my wife had to take a Lyft there and back. She got there at 5pm and no one is there. The place is locked up. Our car is sitting where she had parked it when she arrived, they never even touched it. We paid a deposit through their website for a service they never even started. They had our main set of keys for the car. My wife said she had to bang on their garage door over and over until Chris finally opened the door and didn't even have an excuse of why he didn't do any cleaning on our car. She told him to refund our deposit, if they don't we will be calling the cops on them for theft. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else, Chris is a thief. You've been warned.

I called a couple days ago to ask if they thought my car would be done before 3pm, as I had another appointment, and Chris told me to bring it between 11-11:30 just to be safe. I dropped my car off at 11:15 and Chris assured me my car would be done on time. I called just after 2pm, and he said my car still wasn't ready. Since I had my other appointment, he told me to come at 5pm. No big deal, I'm sure they're busy and I appreciate that they want to do a good job, so I changed my plans around and return at 5pm instead. My Lyft drops me off at 5pm, and I see my car sitting exactly where I left it. The door was locked and no one answered when I knocked on it, so I tried calling. I called and texted several times with no answer. Luckily I found my spare key in my bag. I got in my car to find that he hadn't done anything, I don't think he even touched it all day. Right as I was about to leave, someone else pulled up to pick up their car. I asked her if she had been able to get through to them on the phone, and she said no. We both banged on the door several times before Chris finally answered. Chris came stumbling out, unable to put a sentence together, let alone give me a reason why he didn't complete the services I had scheduled for the day. I don't know what he was doing in his garage all day, but it was definitely not detailing cars. I would never trust someone with my car who was in the state he was in when he answered the door. My day was wasted as well as the money I spent on the Lyft to get home and back. I told Chris that I expect my deposit to be refunded immediately, and hopefully he is aware enough to accomplish that. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. This whole experience with them has been nothing short of a nightmare.

What can I say that will convince you of their fabulousness? 1) They're very kind. I've only ever dealt with Douglas but he's very friendly and happy to explain everything and answer all my questions. (Contrast this with my dad, who for years did all my car repair but would grumble and complain about it every step of the way.) 2) They're very quick. I had an issue over the weekend with my starter and they had me tow the car there and had it fixed the same day! I was shocked, anticipating having to cancel appointments for a few days while waiting for the repairs to be completed. Sometimes I have had to leave the car overnight but only because they needed to order a part, and even then the part was sent overnight and the car fixed the very next day. (Contrast this with my stupid dealer who, when I went to a scheduled appt for a recall, didn't have the part they needed even though I'd scheduled the appt six weeks previously.) 3) They have an emergency road service contract (a la AAA) and you can use it anytime. Since I have AAA I haven't used it but I might next time I need to. They told me I can be reimbursed for the AAA tow through their contract. Seriously, if you are even remotely near this place, I highly recommend you go here. They're really fantastic.
