Requested only an oil and filter change as it is a fleet vehicle and is being turned in shortly. They also added a cabin filter and wiper blades ignoring what I told them. This happened to me at this same location several years back, I do not plan on returning. I recently purchased tires through Tire Rack. After a booking snafu (caused by Tire Tack) I showed at Jiffy Lube to find they had an emergency service on the lift and couldn't do my install. However, the manager (Chris) found a way to help me. He had a serviceman change each wheel, one at a time with a floor jack. They did the four tire change out and an oil change in under an hour. I watched the place operate: like a surgical team. Very polite and professional. I know these large chain operations can sometimes let you down. But, I left feeling like I was treated like an important customer by real professionals. I meant to submit this review two months earlier bc I feel Chris and company deserve recognition from corporate. I have used jiffy lube to mainly deal with same-day repairs for my car to pass inspection and other issues that have come up. They've been very convenient for it and I was lucky enough that they were willing and able to work on my vehicle. But I will say it's not perfect as one time a large torque wrench was left in my engine bay and I was called from jiffy lube on my way home to come back and drop off their torque wrench that they left in my vehicle. I'm glad no damage was done and nothing fell deeper into the engine while I was driving but that's very scary. I also had an appointment with them to figure out a CAT check engine light I had gotten and they said that they did not have the O2 sensor in stock to replace the part but they would call me back when they have ordered it in and they can install a brand new one in my car and they never called me back. I gave them some time and after a while I ended up calling them again about the same issue and they told me that they weren't going to do it and they're not just going to throw parts at my vehicle to fix a catalytic converter light even though they were the ones that were already planning on installing that part on my car? Lastly I had asked them check my brakes because I felt like they were very spongy and weak. I was told that my brakes were completely fine, I was still in doubt and I booked an appointment with an actual automotive place. They told me that my brake calipers were frozen shut and my rotors were in horrible condition. After that, my car brakes 10x better. I recently have been dealing with voltage issues for my car. I had an alternator swap done on my car due to a bad one in Jan 2023. They put a Remanufactured- Alternator in my car and just over a year goes by and my battery is not getting the required charge voltage....For extremely simple things jiffy lube is a convenient place to use but don't expect them to go any deeper with issues or repairs. It's better just to book an appointment with an actual automotive repair center. read more

I noticed my brakes were squeaking went to jiffy Lube in Auburn MA. Got my brakes done for $450 next few days I drove my car still was squeaking pretty loud. Called first told them had it fixed few days ago was squeaking why I wanted it fixed said would be down at 11 am got there had to wait a hr for another car to be done waited in the car then my car got survised for a hour waited in with my sister in her car. Not to mention I called when they opened told them 11.They said everything is all set soon as I leave I noticed still squeaking. Had enough at this point so I went to Midas in Auburn MA Rick was great there sent me videos and talked on the phone about the problems and the problem was solved. So just becarful anyone getting breaks done not a great experience with this place. Got an oil change about 3 months ago. Six weeks later my car had no oil. I barely drive and I have no leaks. I don't think they put any oil in my car. I paid 180. Will not be returning. I would advise to check your oil if you go there. read more

First went here and it was not busy they took me in right away and I sat in there waiting room it was hot and small but it did the trick. The guy asked me what I came in for and I told him an oil change then told me to wait he came back saying I should get a bunch of different things done to my car like new wipers, and some other thing I told him just the oil change and showed him my coupon and he told me I pay at the end. So all done with my car $93 dollars later most expensive oil change I have ever receive and then after I paid he hands me the receipt and didn't even use my coupon.... Like most people on here say ... the upselling is what kills you at Jiffy Lube ... if you don't know how to say no or fall prey to their convincing (or CONNvincing) pitch about why you should put the same oil in a Toyota Corolla as you should in a $125,000 Porsche or change a 6 month old air filter ... you will pay double what you expect at Jiffy Lube. I know how to change my own oil but between the time it takes and having to cart around used motor oil and find a disposal place ... I think the $27 - $30 standard oil change at Jiffy Lube is worth the time saved and hassle. (as well as the potential for ruining clothing or car interiors with spills.) I am very good about laughing in their face when they tell me I need a new air filter after they show me my 'dirty' pristinely white air filter that is less than 6 months old. I am good about refusing the most expensive oil that they tell me will void my warrenty even though most people's car warrenty's are far expired. As if there will ever be a situation where the dealership will hire a CSI lab to check the type of oil you are using if you have some problem with your car. However, the last time I went in with my $25 basic oil change coupon ... I was brought over to their little computer where they enter your address, phone number, favorite movie, shoe size, 4th grade teacher's name, etc. Then I was put through the upsell gauntlet. 5 minutes of saying no to adding more expensive oil, changing oil filters, optional antenna polishing or adding a Flux Capacitor for time travel. No, No, No, No. Then, as I was walking away the guy says to me, 'Your wiper fluid looks like it could use some topping off. Want me to top you off?' Without thinking about where I was ... thinking the person was being a nice guy, I agreed. When I checked out ... sure enough there was a $4.75 wiper fluid charge on my bill. When I told them that 'top off' usually means free ... or at least when the bartender comes by and tops off my drink, they never charge me. Nevermind charge me for a full beer on a top off. They refused to take it off the bill. It would be one thing if the guy said my wiper fluid was bone dry, do I want him to FILL it. Or even that it was half full, should he fill it up the rest of the way. A 'top off' could have literally been akin to pouring a capfull into the resevoir and charging me $4.75 when a 2 gallon jug of washer fluid is $3 at Walmart. Even a shot of Jack Daniels at the bar is cheaper than a shot of washer fluid at Jiffy Lube. For this reason, I will NEVER go back to THIS Jiffy Lube on principal. I do like the convenience of driving in and having an oil change done for under $30 (conceptually) in under 30 minutes. (usually 15 minutes) However, I will drive the extra 10 miles and go to another Jiffy Lube or similar budget oil change place rather than go back to the one in Auburn. That will be my thank you to them for the lovely $5 top off I received. Also, I did notice that the upsell for more expensive oil or oil filter change was a lot harder on women who were there than the men. In fact, even after the women said no, the salesperson continued to push the product on them, which I thought was unprofessional. I saw them talk a 20 year old girl into switching out her air filter which was on a 2011 car. When they showed it to her, it looked almost new to me but she obviously didn't even know what an air filter does. But of course they convinced her that if she did not change it, her car might spontaneously vaporize one day on the highway or that during the night the evil 'dirty' air filter might sneak out from under the hood of her car and go eat some kittens or something. Whatever it takes to get the sale. When the girl got to the counter and found out the oil filter was an extra $20, it looked like she was going to cry. read more

WOMEN BEWARE! I am starting to think that as we enter this Jiffy Lube, the waft of estrogen turns these guys into upselling freaks. EVERYTIME I ask for "just a regular oil change, please" they either upgrade the oil to synthetic or change filters or windshield wipers without asking. I am done! Today it was an synthetic upgrade. I took my car here because I got a $15 off coupon in the mail for a "Signature Oil Change." I got there and $67 later, with the coupon, I was out. The tech told me I needed a synthetic oil or my warranty would be voided. I also got a new air filter, which I "haggled down" $5. I don't know if the warranty thing is true, and I will check, i did a synthetic blend - which he had to ask his manager about. They were fast and pretty friendly, and they told me about their "courtesy top off service" - the same service everyone, such as Speedy offers. It was quick because there was no line, but I think thsi same oil change would run $35-$50 elsewhere. I don't have a problem pointing things out that need to be done, but I have a problem with pressure sales at an oil change place. I don't recommend it here. read more

I decided to bring my car in for an oil change. JUST THE OIL CHANGE. As I arrived the gentleman who greeted me was polite and instructed me to pick a package from their menu. I informed him that all I wanted was an oil change. After waiting for the mechanic to take a look, I was called in to go over what package I wanted with a difference gentleman. I then informed this man (Alex) that I just wanted the OIL CHANGE. Alex went over all the maintenance items that my car should get based on its millage which I responded that the dealership took care of this a few months ago. Alex informed me that my coolant fluid was low so I agreed to this service. RECAP I should now be receiving an oil change and adding coolant. I received my receipt and not only was my coolant fluids determined as FULL prior to any services, but I was charged over $100 for items I did not approved. In addition they gave me an premium oil which I had not approved of. To summarize, after denying every up-charge they attempted to sell me, these fine gentlemen (insert sarcasm) decided to lie when all other selling tactics failed. read more

Took my car last week and wifes car just today. Both times, no wait. I like that you sit inside vehicle as you can see what is going on. They pump the oil out instead of getting underneath and draining it. You can see what is coming out and what is going in. No high pressure to upsell . I've always been impressed with the level of expertise and knowledge that these guys have. At time, sure - it can be intimidating when they tell you all of these things your car might need. But, if you've checked the recommended maintenance schedule that comes with your car - they're just offering you the services that are outlined for your car. I've never had an issue with their business - courteous, professional, pleasant, and quick. Never once have I left feeling I was duped - as in just doing some research, you can easily know what to expect when going there. Normally people who have a negative experience do reviews. Ive been going to this location for 10 years +. At various points its been worse, not going to lie the up sell pressure was bad. However, over the last 3-4 its gotten much much better. If you use Jiffy you know they keep records on your car as to when you had service last. At a lot of locations you will get upsell if anything is even close to ready, and did you miss your 3K-5K oil change? They will literally chastise you for it. The Auburn location is much different. Yes they try and up sell, you will never get to a Jiffy lube without that so youre going to have to deal with it. At this location though, "No" or a "no thank you" is all you need and the move on. Again, I understand the upsell, not only that their services are good for your auto, a little pricey but if you were a do it yourself person why are you at jiffy lube? I think a lot of these locations get a bad rap. They change my oil and every service I have had done there (from tire rotation to new battery ive had it all) they did the job well, in a timely manner and for the price posted in their shop. I dont know what else people want, no its never a perfect experience when you have your car worked on, I get it. This location is pretty good, some days are better than others but their consistency over the last few years merits the stars. read more

Worst experience!! I have a new subaru, I generally use the dealer but was in a pinch so against my better judgment I went to jiffy lube. I know better. My engine was noisy after my oil change. Look at my bill and lo and behold they use the wrong oil. You have one freakin job, change oil, and you can't get that right. I called to speak to the manager, I believe it was Chris, and I can honestly say I've never spoken to a more rude, arrogant or condescending person in my life. As a Fleet Driver, I have no issues with the Jiffy Lube process. They can only perform certain activities based on a pre existing contract. With that said, the employees here have always been pleasant and quick. I have had no issues with the service they provide. Obviously, if you come with a personal car, they are going to try and sell you upgrades. That is how they operate. read more

The other day I went to jiffy to get a quick oil change. Now I understand that customer service rep, john is there to tell me about my vehicle and recommend services for my car however, this kid LIED TO MY FACE. He told me I needed a belt replaced and that I needed a coolant flush. I told him I would take it to my mechanic, in which I did. To find out, my belt was absolutely fine no cracks in dry rot like John had stated and my coolant tested perfect. I will not be returning to jiffy due to their dishonest employees....what is the manager teaching these techs? read more

I always do my own oil changes, however the weather was crummy and I didn't feel like getting under there. So off to Jiffy Lube I went..big mistake. The staff was friendly and I was in and out of there wicked quick. After driving about 30 miles I noticed my engine was a lot louder than usual and was ticking. Well, long story short they put the wrong weight oil in because they didn't have any of the proper oil. I will never go here again. read more

Went in to Park Ave location today for basic oil change....after oil had been removed from my car, the tech informed me that the cost would be 78.53... I informed him that I didn't want a new transmission, just an oil change...He insisted that I spent that much last year for same service, which I did not, because I certainly wouldn't opt to be screwed over again....I assured him that I would not be paying 78.00, so he promptly lowered the price to 40 dollars! Really? It was bad enough that they would assume I would hand over the 78 dollars, but to be able to drop it by almost half, and still charge too much, just infuriated me....Shame on you and your company! read more
